Burrito style taco, nacho taco, blueberry-pomegranate smoothie, and banana strawberry smoothie

We had some massive tacos and delicious drinks! We didn't have time to paint but will be back soon to try! The staff is so friendly with everyone and seems to know regulars by name. They'll teach you to paint any of their pictures and are up for suggestions if you have something in mind that they don't have. And if you're not a painter, you can always just buy one of their painted canvases right off the wall! Such a neat idea and a great place.

Wasn't very busy at all but didn't feel welcome. Didn't get any direction as to how to achieve the technique that my picture needed (and ended up ruining my artwork). Ordered a taco salad for nearly $6 and it came in a styrofoam "to go" container even though it was clear that I was staying to paint a picture since I paid for it all at once. The little taco salad didn't come with a tortilla or any chips and when I asked about it, the owner, Val, looked at me like I had a horn growing out of my head and said, "I can get you some chips for 1.75". No, thanks. I ordered lights to go with my picture to enhance it and it wasn't until I was literally walking out the door that I realized I was never given the lights for my picture. She asked what color I wanted and I wanted just plain white lights. They had every color EXCEPT white. I came home and figured out how to put the lights on and it turned out ok. All told, I got a half decent picture with lights that I won't throw away but it is sub par for the money, an incomplete taco salad, and an expired Diet Pepsi for $56 (including a 20% tip on the entire purchase). I used to love this place but it feels like once they got my money, they could care less about my experience.

Such a fun family activity on a cold day! The kids had a great time painting and we all enjoyed a delish breakfast and coffee. Highly recommend!

They have a local non-profit partner. Each order is fresh roasted to order, and they're brought to us by sustainable farms in small batch I had to be at work early that morning, and I was staying in the area, so, I walked over to get a quick pick-me-up. I like that they're open earlier than most coffee shops in the area The interior is spacious and well-decorated. There are your typical snacks, other breakfast treats, merchandise, roastery machinery, and plenty of seating options There was only one barista working when I arrived around 6am, but there were already several patrons who had already been helped. This barista was professional, friendly, and efficient. I received my order within a couple minutes of ordering The menu offers a variety of classic specialty coffees as well as seasonal and specialty offerings. There's non-espresso drinks, chai/teas, etc. there's breakfast foods, snacks, and you can even purchase beans/grounds to take home As I was in a rush I only had time for a to-go coffee and a quick bite (stroopwaffles). Both hit the spot on an early winter morning Some tips: Parking isn't great downtown, but you can find some metered parking. There are a handful of parking garages in the area. Again, there is plenty of space if you want to relax in a lovely coffee shop and just enjoy your cup o' joe Cheers!!

The food was good not great , breakfast was served warm not hot . I liked the road side dinner feel of the restaurant. If your in a hurry I'd look elsewhere for a quick breakfast, I'll give them another try for breakfast again at some point before I decide to keep them on or off the breakfast rotation list

Okay. Wow. I understand why this unlikely spot has great reviews…read more It's located in the Livestock Commission building and depending on the time of day or year, you might be dodging piles of stuff in the parking lot, so you know it's an authentic experience. The cattle and horse trailers can take up a good share of the parking lot. It's an unassuming cafe, no frills really, but its meant for the business of the building it's located in. If you want fancy, move along. What Hitt's the Spot does well is the food. And the genuine interest in the customers. It obvious the regulars, both the workers and the customers have dealt with each other on a routine basis. You can't fake that comraderie. Having stopped in for breakfast and at a loss as to what option sounded best, I was directed to the corned beef hash. I was told it was house-made and that was good enough for me. I wasn't disappointed. First, the portions are not skimpy. It was large chunks of corned beef, nicely shredded potatoes and large pieces of onion. There was no mistaking this for the hash out of a can, either by appearance or taste. I look forward to coming by to try some other things.

The staff were amazing. Not only were the professional and skilled, they were the nicest individuals. Very helpful, made thoughtful small talk, and provided great service While they're not open as early as some coffee shops, they open at 7am, which is still pretty early. They are accessible through the hotel or through a back door that leads directly into the shop The interior is very spacious with a lot of comfortable seating. It was towards the end of the year when I visited, and the place was decorated for fall There are all the classic coffee options, flavors, and some in-house specialties. A barista was explaining that many of the of the syrups are made in house and she provided a list of which ones. And as I perused the pastries I was handed a menu with a kind "can you believe we have even more"? The coffee came out very quickly, and the quality was spot on. Everything was great! Some tips: The whiskey rice crispy tray is massive and inexpensive. It's literally a brick or rice crispy treat and it's tasty. I wish I had gotten a few. Also, their cortado was delightful. You can take coffee to go or sit down, relax, and enjoy it there Cheers!!
