On the south side of Laurel, outside of town on the busy highway headed to Red Lodge, this kiosk's owner picked a great spot to capture traffic from the nearby refinery and those headed to the Beartooth mountains or Yellowstone or Wyoming. As it has opened just as the summer season kicks off, it'll likely see a lot of traffic. If they don't, it'd be a loss to those who drove by. Plus, those who don't stop miss the chance to support a small local business. The coffee is good -- at least it is if you prefer a stronger brew as your base. Of course they have non-coffee drinks if sugar instead of caffeine is your choice of bad habit. The one hiccup that will be quickly remedied: because it is located so close to the highway that at times can be noisy and busy and there is no bell or alarm to notify the employee that someone is waiting for service, you may need to wait a bit for them to notice you. The day I visited, the owner's relative was working, acknowledged the issue before I had a chance to mention it, and then proceeded to make a near-perfect latte. I'm now a fan. Next time you find yourself out of town headed south, look for this small building on the left (east) side of the road.

I ordered a huckleberry frappe and there wasn't much huckleberry flavor (consider an extra pump if you're wanting more huckleberry and less coffee taste). The owner is very friendly and will remember you if you frequent the store. There isn't any sit down area inside the coffee shop if you're interested in doing any sort of work. Instead, when going inside, you'll be greeted by black and orange covering every service (I felt like I stepped into a halloween store). The store doubles as a Bulldogs swag shop (local high school mascot) and any sort of school pride item you can think of can be bought here. Paw power!

However, we saw Brook's food truck and had to explore our curiosity. It's a good thing that we did.
