Teeny tiny itty bitty airport. Smallest I've been to. I'm used to super busy Miami airport and Ft Lauderdale which is currently expanding some more so this airport was a refreshing change of pace. Only 2 gates. Usually just one commercial plane in and out at a time. Tiny TSA area. I only saw 2 or 3 agents I believe. Two car rental service desks right next to baggage claim. Very clean airport. Has a restaurant which is not always open but I was able to eat a fresh ham and cheese sandwich on rye when I got there. After going through TSA the weather started getting ugly fast. We waited for our plane but pilot decided not to land due to weather so we waited some more to see if he would come back or send another plane instead. Long story short, we waited almost 5 hours to fly out. During this time, the staff (AND lpassengers) were extremely patient. Most of us missed our connecting flights in Salt Lake. Two employees/ticket agents helped everyone, one by one, either rebook a new connection, arranged for a car for those who chose to drive and kept us updated with possible new departure times weather permitting, etc. They gave us plenty of snacks and water. Some passengers began playing Twister. Airport is a short drive to most nearby hotels, restaurants and shops. About one and a half hour drive into the East entrance of Yellowstone Park. read more

Too much confusion at the counter, it was a mess. Two hours to rent a vehicle, and pricey.

It's a small, clean airport with one waiting area & 2 gates. They have a couple counters for car rentals. I like that it's so close to the town/downtown area (maybe 5 minute drive). Great/ smooth experience for this trip. read more

This airport is super small. Coming from Las Vegas I'm used to the fast pace atmosphere and packed airports, but this airport was quite the opposite. Everyone working here seems to be in no hurry. The check in is only for United and Delta and when I arrived there were only 1 representative for each airline. Something that I've never done before was put my snacks (chips, candy, nuts, etc.) into a bin of it's own. There are only 2 gates for this airport. If you want food, snacks, or drinks there are 3 vending machines. Overall, smooth transactions and no issues. read more

Extremely small airport but clean and well laid out. When I was here there were only two major airlines, United and Delta. Nice view from the gate to the mountains while you're waiting. Looks like they are taking good care of the runways as I see there either expanding are doing your repairs at this moment. I can imagine the snow takes a beating on the ground. Easy in, easy out. On your way out, you are right at the car rental desks. From there you're right on the major highway. One restaurant which is really enough. read more

It's a Sunday and our plane is delayed for a couple of hours (so far). It isn't the airports fault. BUT we're stuck. The TSA agents left on a three-hour break so security is closed and no one can leave the gate area- The drink vending machine is broken, so no drinks. The snack vending machine only takes 1 dollar bills and no credit card. This feels worse than airports I've been in when in third world countries. Luckily, the lone employee here is kind and sympathetic, although powerless. Ok I just added two stars because an airport employee just delivered two McDonald's happy meals to two stranded tiny kids. That is awesome. read more

Small, well run airport...everyone is friendly and helpful. We get off the plane, collect our bags to the right as soon as we enter the building and then walk 10 more steps to the rental car counter where they direct us to the car in the parking lot. Fabulous! The security detail was really helpful to the elderly people going through the gates....something you don't see too much at large, metropolitan airports. At the gate where we were waiting, there are snacks for sale with a jar for money---the old honor system. I love it! They had the oddest signs in the women's bathroom, however. read more

Ordinarily this is a wonderful small friendly airport. But today I witnessed a United gate agent turn away a young couple with a small child because they missed the baggage deadline by less than a minute. They had a car seat and a large bag to check in addition to their carry on luggage. The plane had just landed, security was still open. The agent was not kind or understanding in any way. I'm very disappointed in my small town airport today. read more

Worst airport to fly out of! TSA here is probably by far some of the most inept I've encountered. I fly with my usual gear in the carry-on, with laptop and camera at the ready. Despite with TSA Precheck, laptop has to be taken out if the bag...fine, no problem. I was glad to comply. Then my whole carry-on bag was taken apart piece by piece because I had things like my beard shaver, a GoPro and the Li-ion power pack that I had removed from my checked smartbag like I'm supposed to. Still, they had to looked through my toiletries manually twice because apparently the machine was inadequate at looking at everything twice separately. When I inquired why today, all my carryon items were unpacked and screened separate...I'm told I had too much stuff in the bag, and it's easy to hide contraband...I was dumbfounded. The TSA agent proceeded to tell me that because this is a smaller airport, they do a much thorough job than those of the agents at the larger major airports...what a farce! I mean if you're going to make up a reason, use a plausible one and one that would make your organization look good moron! Then the gate agent told me I had to also check my carryon ... ok. So I had to take my laptop and camera to carry them without and bags. Well when I boarded...there are plenty of overhead space, including the one above my head. And I know the carryon fits because I flew with the same one on the same plane here...not to mention numerous other flights before on the same type of small jets!!! Yellowstone Regional Airport is located just minutes away from Yellowstone National Park. They also offer travelers a wide array of services which include a restaurant and car rentals. There are other aviation services from Choice Aviation which offers tie downs, maintenance, deice and preheat, a hangar and charter! So far, the smallest airport I've stepped foot in. Flying in and out is super easy. There's only one small security gate (that doesn't even open till 5:30-ish) and that's a sinch to get through. There's a spot for car rentals although I wouldn't recommend utilizing their services. There's no place for coffee or to grab a bite, just vending machines. Overall, not a bad spot. read more

We were flying back home today and missed our flight. Katie at the ticket counter went above and beyond to help us get a flight rescheduled when the United customer service line was no help. She was so patient and kind helping us get another flight booked. The airport is very clean and all the staff were very helpful. Thank you Katie! read more

Staff was rude to my son they should really have some customer service training. His flight information told him to be there 30 minutes before the flight was due to take off to check in. He showed up on time but was told he should have been there an hour before the flight was due to take off. He was the only one at the gate had not luggage to check in only a carry on and was turned away. Plane was still connected to terminal so there should have been no reason they did not help him. Plane tickets are not cheap. They should have been able to get him taken care of this was his first time flying and probably his last with this negative experience. read more
