They have an extensive menu with sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, noodles, soup, salads, fusion appetizers, etc. They even have some Korean items like bulgogi, sundubu, and bibimbap. Prices are reasonable. I called and placed a take-out order near closing time. The employee was accommodating, pleasant, and told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I drove over and was able to find street parking easily. The interior is casual and spacious, but a little dreary and outdated. They have exposed brick walls, wood tables, and hanging light fixtures. My food was prepared on time. I ordered: *Salmon Lover - 4 pieces of sushi, 4 pieces of sashimi, 6 piece roll ($20.50) *Tuna Lover - 4 pieces of sushi, 4 pieces of sashimi, 6 piece roll ($20.50) The salmon and tuna were fresh in taste, texture, and smell. Located in a cute little area of town that's filled with local eateries and shops. Metered street parking costs about a dollar an hour. The exterior and interior appearance could use some updating. Both were drab compared to other Japanese bistros I've been too. The back part of the restaurant looks to be used more as storage. No alcohol here (bummer, no Mai Thais) but the waitress did mention it's BYOB. The pricing on the food was quite reasonable. My steak bento box was around $22 and that included : miso soup, steak teriyaki, white rice, 3 gyoza, veggie tempura and California rolls. The food was delicious and came up fast. Her enthusiasm and positive energy truly set the bar for servers all over from now on. She alone deserves 5 stars. We started with the pork gyozas for appetizer and loved the fact that it is deep fried and not steamed. Great to have that little crunch! So happy to have been invited to celebrate Chinese New Year here. It was a good sized gathering of about 25 people. The owners, Bin and Joanne, were very gracious hosts. There was one very large communal table for us to enjoy the feast that was presented. I couldn't list everything we had but some of the highlights were King Crab, lobster, plenty of sushi and sashimi and frog legs( yes they taste just like chicken- tender, ridiculously garlicky chicken) I've been coming here for years and with good reason. Needed a new sushi spot and I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Came in on a Sunday night without reservations and were seated right away. Everything was very good. We ordered the tempura platter as an appetizer which came with w pieces of shrimp, a sweet potato, a zucchini, an onion ring and a carrot. We had few specialty rolls (#36, #1, #6). I appreciated they had pictures next to their specialty rolls. My only gripe was that the fish on one of the rolls was really cold. We also ordered sashimi. The fatty tuna and salmon were actually my favorites. They only have bottled water for purchase so we just ended up getting green tea which was at no cost. I love yellowtail and I always recommend it to all my friends and they have in return told me how good it is there. But I just needed to talk about this salmon dish and how bad it was. The is under entrees, miso glazed salmon. There was nothing miso glazed about it. It was 2 dry, small pieces of overcooked salmon in a sweet oniony broth. Once I drained the "sauce" I found a ton of sliced onions, shredded carrots and mushrooms underneath, broccoli and scallops on the side. Mind you, I asked the girl if it came with anything and she said no so I ordered a $2 side of veggies. What I got were the same veggies in the actual dish, on the side, with no seasoning or sauce. Ordered for pick up on a Sunday evening. Everything was ready when they said it would be. We ordered the crispy tuna rice, sushi deluxe (11 pcs of sushi, spicy tuna roll), and an Alaska roll. I always get crispy rice when I see it on a menu because I don't see it often. It was good overall but a bit too much sauce because they also added eel sauce. They also added spicy Mayo on top of the spicy tuna, which again - just made it too saucy. Everything else was great though. The Alaska roll was pretty sizeable - filled with ingredients but not too much rice. The sushi pieces also had the right amount of fish to rice ratio. I would order from here again but I would avoid anything with the sauces and if I get a spicy roll, I'll ask them to hold the spicy Mayo drizzle. I saw they also have reasonably priced party platters, so it seems like it would be a good place to order from if you have a crowd. read more

Dynamite roll: Great one you can never go wrong with spicy tuna and it has yummy shrimp with a Smokey sauce on top 3. There was a plain spicy tuna 4. Shrimp tempura always a must 5. Made a reservation, which was wise, as the place filled up quickly on a Friday night. We were seated in time. Decor is hip and clean, and it's a comfortable place to be. We started with fried calamari, which tops any other I've ever had. It was abundantly clear that it was fresh, not frozen, and was perfectly-fried. Now...the sushi. The Love Roll and the Jackpot were both simply out of this world. Rice was perfectly cooked, fish was fresh, and sauces were wonderfully flavorful. It was incredible. Spicy Pork ramen was flavorful with some incredible noodles. Seasoning was excellent. Egg was perfect. Pork belly was to die for. Service was kind, attentive, helpful, and courteous. Hello, I am writing this review after I was bullied by a waitress here on Friday night. At 6pm, I met my friends for dinner here to celebrate becoming a Registered Nurse. It was a night I truly looked forward to celebrating for a long time that was quickly ruined by this restaurant. We sat down at 6pm, did not see a server until around 6:30pm. She came over, never introduced herself, and started taking our order. My friends ordered before me, each of them ordered numerous things. When it was my turn to order, I asked for the mushroom miso soup and two sushi rolls. The waitress looked at me in the eyes and said loudly "That's a lot of food! Are you okay!?" My heart sank. I had just worked a full shift at the hospital that day, so I was exhausted and starving. I just sat there stunned about what the waitress said, because never in my life have I heard someone say such a thing. NEVER should that be acceptable to say to anyone, nevermind a paying customer. I was so upset I lost my appetite completely and felt extremely embarrassed as she said it loudly for everyone around me to hear. So the manager, Ricky, was addressed about this situation, and what did he do? Nothing except give us a new server. Never even apologized or gave any kind of compensation. And to make it worse, they didn't even give the right soup. They gave me a Mushroom Stew (a huge, gross stew that was $16) when I ordered the mushroom miso soup (small $6 soup). I honestly was just so upset I didn't eat it, I just wanted to go home at that point. So a night that I worked so hard for was destroyed by this rude and disrespectful place. I was bullied, overcharged, and made a fool of. My advice? If you want to keep an appetite and self esteem don't go here. read more

Been wanting to try this place out since it's only 5 mins from me and I love a solid sashimi lunch special. That's exactly what I got from there. The lunch special comes with so much food. Sashimi was fresh and buttery. Everything else with the lunch special was great, no complaints: edamame, gyoza, miso soup - loved it all Service was quick and friendly too. I've done delivery and eat in here, and to vote on the food I would give it 5/5 but in person gave me some 3/5 vibes, so I think the food does have a lot of pull in its favor. First time for delivery, I got the lunch special chicken Bento box. It's about $10 and comes with soup, chicken with veggies, rice, dumplings, and California roll. It's a lot of food, tasty, and really filling for a really reasonable price. In person, it is in a busy area with all metered parking, so I ended up not being able to park near the establishment. From the delivery, I knew they had lunch specials, but they don't provide them unless you ask which seemed odd. The regular menu had SO many retractions, I'm not sure why they didn't reprint the menus instead of crossing several things off. They also listed a "Pilly roll" instead of Philly, so it just seemed like not a lot of care went into the menu. Roll special online says soup and salad, but salad is one of the retracted options. Still, 3 rolls for $12 is a good deal, the sushi was great and even came with 2 sample pieces. Again, another really tasty and filling meal. The prices are reasonable and food is good, but they clearly don't offer as many things as they used to. If you can get delivery within a reasonable time, that's a good option. Otherwise, look over menu before you go and maybe call to make sure they actually will carry it when you show up. read more

The NO MONEY ROLL I ordered which costs quite a bit at $16.95, but completely well worth it. Huge. Super fresh, delicious big chunks of soft shell crab lightly fried on top. Kani and seaweed salad in a combo salad choice? Whaaa?! Yessss! Thank you!!! The shrimp were good, but I was wishing it had more than the three it came with but the veggies taste good too as a substitute I especially like sweet potatoes tempura. The Beef Fried Rice was a letdown, a minuscule amount of thinly cut beef, the rice was just white rice made browned maybe with a soy sauce colorer there was a lot of un-colored white rice in it. The rice also had a stingy amount of finely chopped veggies, like onions if you can find them.
