By far one of the best sushi places I've tried. We are now a regular customer. The fish is so fresh!!! Everything we have had is always good. We have never been dissatisfied. The owners are the sweetest people another reason why we enjoy coming here. We also love the tea. My favorite is the Mexican Roll. Definitely recommend. You get top quality ingredients and service for a very great price.

Order Uber Eats from here for lunch. Food was packed well and still warm when delivered. For the most part the food was decent. I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki, a Beef Hibachi, and several sushi rolls. The sushi rolls were a tad small, but tasted good. The beef was a little too well done for me, though that's not the restaurant's fault since I forgot to request it to be cooked to medium. The chicken teriyaki had good flavor, but it was white meat and I typically prefer dark meat when it comes to chicken teriyaki.

A decent generic sushi place. I've ordered takeout from here a good number of times and the lunch special prices are pretty good. The steak hibachi was excellent once and just decent the other. Rolls and sushi are pretty generic, no toro or uni here. Portion is pretty good. Yaki udon had a sweet and acidic sauce that was quite good. Ownership is very friendly.

Good service with good price nearby. They have fresh sushi, sashimi, and some special rolls. Tasty hibachi and teriyaki come with home made miso soup and salad. Appetizers such as gyoza, edamame, shrimp tempura are great too.

Fresh. Small rolls that are nice and simple. Not too much rice. Delivery within a hour.

What started as a handful of niche noodle shops is now a full-on culinary movement. All across Jersey, ramen chefs are crafting rich broths, house-made noodles, and inventive toppings that delight the senses. Located on State Street in Hackensack, I frequent this establishment numerous times during the year. Ramen Azuma pours out their soul in preparing perfectly the classic Japanese cuisine. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff and got an empty table by the window inside their cozy and inviting vibe. Their menu features a wide selection of ramen, curry, and appetizers. I decided on their newest edition--Wonton Ramen and 3 pieces of Fried Chicken. The savory ramen soup was filled with shrimp wontons. Even though they were very thin wonton wrappers with a smaller amount of filling, they tasted consistent with other shrimp wontons from past restaurants, accompanied by Menma Bamboo, Scallions, and Egg. The Fried Chicken was well seasoned. The food overall remained authentic and incredibly flavorful and on point. The portion was very generous. Friendly service, and the price was reasonable. Make sure one comes on an empty stomach.

As for my meal, the spring roll was fine, but the sushi rolls were not good. The green dragon roll (Shrimp tempura and cream cheese, avocado on top with eel sauce and masago on top) was the better of the two, but not great.... it really seemed like the avocado slices on top of the roll had been pickled, which I did not like. My second roll was the volcano roll (Spicy tuna on top of California roll with spicy mayo, scallion and crunchy flakes on top) which tasted fishy to me and I didn't eat much of. 10/10 -- My New Go-To Sushi Spot!…read more I've been on the hunt for a new go-to sushi place since moving to the area, and I've tried plenty of good spots nearby -- but this place absolutely blew me away. Hands down, the best sushi I've had in a long time (maybe ever!), and that's saying something. From the moment I called in my large order, the experience was seamless. The owner was incredibly kind, got everything 100% right, and made the process so easy. When I walked in, I was immediately struck by how clean and fresh everything smelled -- a great sign. They also offer boba (at a really fair price!) and have fun extras like seaweed snacks and unique chips -- super cute and convenient. But the star of the show is the food. Everything was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. I ordered for myself, my brother, and my mom after a long morning of errands, and we were all seriously impressed. I'm a huge miso soup fan -- I've tried it at nearly every spot in NJ -- and theirs is officially my favorite. Perfectly balanced and comforting. We had: - Sweet potato rolls, Shrimp California rolls - Spicy tuna, spicy crab, firecracker roll - Spicy yellowtail & regular yellowtail - Clear soup, miso soup, and udon soup Every single bite was fantastic. You could taste how fresh everything was -- we genuinely couldn't believe our luck in finding this gem. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive -- truly an A+ experience from start to finish. This will absolutely be a repeat visit for us. If you're in the area and looking for great sushi, you need to make this your next stop. Thank you again for such a perfect lunch -- we'll be back soon! -- Lauren

So when an opportunity came up to meet in the vicinity of this restaurant, I brought myself and two guests to experience the poke in person. It did not disappoint! Nestled among a smaller shops in a strip mall off of Market Street (off of North 5th Street), Waikiki Poke & Ramen is a place definitely worth stopping by. There's ample parking in the surrounding area of the strip mall so it's a small walk towards the restaurant. Once you enter you are greeted with an Instagram-able wall, with various colored posted that guests can write and post messages. It was fun reading through them and leaving some as well in the end. The restaurant is small, quaint, and cafeteria style, the counter where the Poké bowl ingredients are visible is well organized and clean. A nice selection of Japanese teas and other drinks are available to enjoy with the meal as well as bottled water. The price is on point for Poké bowl of their size and the Sashimi-ed raw fish, and the vegetables were all fresh and delicious! My guests enjoyed it well. I was so excited to visit the place then I couldn't help myself by letting them know how much I enjoy their food and how many times I've ordered online. I wasn't sure if they understood me because they didn't seem very interested? In any case I still enjoy the food, but I think it might be better to just order it online for me as it is quite a far distance for me to drive to enjoy it in person. Overall, we were able to enjoy our meal slowly as we had much catching up to do.. The shop was not particularly busy during its lunch hour so the food was ready quite quickly, which was impressive. I would rate this as 5.0 for the food but 4.5 for the customer experience aspect. It is a recommendation that they at least acknowledge or interact with people who expresses positively for enjoying their food. Because this is not an open food court situation and it is in a restaurant even after you paid for the food and sat down and eat it it would be nice for them to also interact in some capacity just felt a bit standoffish in my opinion.
