We had such a great time at Payette Brewery! They have an amazing selection of beers, but I also loved that they offer cocktails and wine, so there's something for everyone. The variety of food the truck had was another huge plus, lots of delicious options to choose from. I also love that they are super dog friendly which I love! The collage-making event was so much fun! Everyone came with such creative ideas, and it was really enjoyable seeing everyone's unique creations come together. The atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and perfect for spending a fun evening with friends. Thanks yelp!

Hosting the Yelp event at this venue was a great choice. Walking in gives off an elegant vibe, with tall glass doors opening into a spacious interior. The whole building is clean, modern, and beautifully spacious! Even the bathrooms were gorgeous and well-kept. The outdoor patio was just as roomy, perfect for kicking back and relaxing. Now for the yelp event itself, I really had a lot of fun. Being crafty with no intention is so relaxing, especially with a tasty drink and of course the options for drinks were endless! Being crafty brought out my inner child and seeing others enjoy themselves made me smile. Once I was done being creative I took a stroll outside and found myself at the market. This location is fantastic, with the Boise River greenbelt path right there as an added bonus. I'll definitely be back.

Payette was the perfect venue for this Create & Sip event! The hosts did an amazing job explaining the creative process and were available throughout the event to answer questions or offer inspiration. They encouraged a child like exploration with the art mediums and supplies, having no concept of what we wanted to make but just grabbing supplies and seeing what happened in a no-pressure environment. The variety of supplies and creative mediums available was impressive, giving everyone plenty of options to make something uniquely their own. One of my favorite parts was seeing how differently everyone's projects turned out, all based on their individual inspiration. I don't usually consider myself a creative person, but I genuinely loved the experience. For the first time, I felt completely free to enjoy the process without worrying about how my project would turn out--and that was such a refreshing feeling! Payette's spacious tables and welcoming, laid-back atmosphere made it the ideal setting for this event. Whether you wanted a beer, cocktail, mocktail, or soda, there was something for everyone to enjoy while creating. It was a wonderful experience, and I'd absolutely attend another Create & Sip event here!

We visited Payette Brewing the night before to do some recon before the Yelp event on Tuesday. I'm glad we did. It gave a chance to sip on several of their beer offerings. There are a lot, and it changes daily. Having this knowledge, helped us feel more comfortable for the Create and Sip Yelp Event. Payette Brewing has an immense space inside and outside and it's easy to order and just unwind from a day full of well you know... While the air did not cooperate to be outdoor, the employees of Payette did cooperate and were super friendly and had immense patience to deal with our large group as well as regular patrons. Not only patrons but doggies too. We had the chance to meet 'Oreo' who was so well behaved. I settled on the Sofa King Dreamy, and it was my overall favorite. The previous night, I had the flight and really liked the Pistolero which is a Porter. My daughter loved her berry cider. Payette offers free WIFI, free parking, shuffleboard table, and more in the inside and even more outside. The Detroit Pizza food truck tempted me with their veggie pizza and made some accommodations which I appreciated. Their pizza was excellent. Lexi and her sister-in-law put together quite the buffet line of artsy stuff to get creative with. Y'all should have seen my daughter, she was giddy like a Kindergartner waiting for finger-painting time. We sat at a table with Marta, Yulia, Kris Anne, Nic, Lindsay, and Sabine. Sometimes some events, it's hard to mingle or break 'the ice' not this table. We all talked, laughed, and had a great time. Hats off to Madelon for putting all this together. Madelon once again created an event that was welcoming, fun, and one-of-a-kind.

Our first time at Payette Brewing and my wife and I had a great time at the Yelp event. The cidars were solid and the pizza food truck had excellent garlic cheese sticks and pizza. Attendees were super creative with their art. The place was hopping for a Tuesday night. Looks like a great place to gather, drink and play games. The outdoor space is nice as well. Would definitely recommend and will be back.

We had a great time at this Yelp Event! A lot of people showed up, some with their dogs! Payette Brewing is super do-friendly...indoors and out on their patio. We each received a token for a free drink good for their variety of beers, hard ciders, cocktails, mocktails! They were delicious! Part of the event was creating a collage. We had tons of options available to pick from! Thread, fabric, paint, buttons, scrabble tiles, cut outs, yarn, and more, plus the tools. They had a pizza food truck available to order from (can't recall the name), but the crust was incredibly soft and tasty. There were free snacks, lots of creativity and both me and my plus-one had a lovely time and had a piece of personal artwork to take home. :)

Was a great time at the create and set! The ladies let us go wild with our imagination with whatever we wanted to craft. They had multiple different art materials to help with creating your masterpiece. I liked being able to just pick the things that spoke to me based upon the tones or the illustrations. My partner and I had fun making the collage together. Payette is also a great atmosphere for people to be coming to hang out and grab a drink. Even came the following day for another event and the spot never disappoints! I appreciated. The ladies letting us have our moment of creativity with a refreshing drink. Hope we have more events like this again!

I love the idea creating so I think the projects came out great everyone's creative side came out. As for the group as a whole didn't seem very inviting my plus one was a little disappointed in the welcoming of the group. I've been to quite a few events. This was very mid and not quite what I'm used to. Definitely makes me appreciate how welcoming I've been treated at other events in Scottsdale, Arizona, and in LA. Grateful I made at least one knew Yelp friend.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and made to feel welcome. I ordered the Dirty Olive House Martini and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Bardenay is the nation's first restaurant and distillery, serving its own handcrafted spirits. Their house-distilled vodka made for one smooth and delicious martini! Our server, Sabrina, was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She recommended the fish tacos, and they were absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the burger and fries, and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. What really impressed me was Sabrina's attentiveness. As soon as she noticed my martini was getting low, she stopped by to see if I'd like another. I figured, "Why not?" I was about to spend a few hours on a plane and was hoping to catch some ! The bar and seating area were spotless, and we enjoyed watching FIFA on the TVs while we ate. Great food, handcrafted cocktails, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're flying out of Boise Airport, I highly recommend making time to stop at Bardenay Restaurant & Distillery before your flight. We'll definitely be back!

Today my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here so of course I said yes! We decided to sit on the outdoor patio today. It wasn't the warmest day but it was beautiful out. The sun was peeking out once in a while. The table was nicely shaded by a huge umbrella. The sun was nice but to have it beating on you isn't the best so the umbrella was appreciated. It was the perfect table for our outing. Jerika (I hope I spelled her name right) greeted my friend and I with her beautiful smile. We got some drinks started so while they were being worked on, my friend and I breezed over the menu. I did somewhat enjoy my charboiled salmon at the Eagle Bardenay for my birthday a couple weeks ago. The chefs did undercook my first plate of salmon. The server was kind to take my plate back to have the chefs remake it. The second attempt was appreciated but it was unfortunately a fail. The salmon came out so dry. I get that I wanted it well done but not jerky. But, today's a new day and I was willing to give it another shot. So today, I ordered the salmon with veggies instead of the salad. My plate came out and it looked promising. I love beautiful char marks on my food. The char marks today were perfect. My veggies looked nicely cooked but I could tell that some of the squash was still undercooked by the color. I didn't mind, it's a sign of freshness. As much as I wanted to stare at the prettiness of my food, I was ready to dig in! My salmon was so good! It was perfectly cooked! No raw spots in the middle, it was flaky and moist. It was a fabulous piece of salmon. The sun dried tomato butter is a fantastic add on to the salmon. I honestly could have polished another piece of fish. The chef that cooked my salmon today needs a raise! My lunch was chef's kiss! My friend enjoyed her lunch and her birthday drink! The outdoor patio was so relaxing. My lunch was also enjoyed. Our server was kind and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday lunch for my deserving friend. I hope that it won't be another 5+ years till I come back. I will need another plate of salmon with that sun dried tomato butter soon.

The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy vibe, but it can feel a little tight and busy during peak hours, so it's not the best place for big groups unless you plan ahead. I know my husband who is a huge pizza lover would absolutely love their pizza here. So for my birthday, I decided that we should hit up The James for dinner. I had made a reservation for a patio table a couple days ahead of schedule. I really wanted to sit outside with the family and enjoy our meal. Of course the day of my birthday, the weather was windy and cooler. I called the restaurant to see if we couple l could possibly dine inside. The gentleman that helped me over the phone wasn't really friendly but he assured me that dining inside shouldn't be an issue. We had a cute table reserved for us inside. It was pretty chill when we came in. A few people at the bar and another table enjoying their meal. The last time my friends and I were in, it was so busy. I actually appreciate how chill it was tonight. Nothing like enjoying my family and our meal in a calm space. We got some food ordered. We started off with some wings, clam chowder and zuppa tuscono soup. A pepperoni pizza for my husband and I. My daughter got the French dip sammy. I planned on having a little bit of my daughter's sandwich. I have to make sure it's tasty! The wings came out first. They were cooked perfectly! Crispy on the outside but the chicken wing was still tender. The buffalo sauce and ranch were in dipping cups on the side. We all had a few and then soups were dropped off. My husband's clam chowder was money. It was so good! Clams and potatoes through out each bite. My daughter's zuppa was very hearty and spicy. I love the kale in the soup. I had a couple bites but the heat was becoming a little too much for me. Our pizza was hot right out the oven. The cheese was perfectly melty. Plenty of pepperoni slices on the pizza. I appreciate the fact that the crust isn't crazy thick. It's thinner so you're not eating a tone of bread. The crust is crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. The sauce is not overwhelming in herbs. This joint seriously has some of the best pizza in town! Each slice I had tonight was fantastic! My daughter enjoyed her sammy. I didn't get a chance to snag a bite. I was too busy tearing up our pizza. I did snag a few fries and these folks know how to produce a great fry. We didn't get the gorgonzola fries this time but it will be a must have the next time we hit this joint up. It's been a hot minute since I have had them and I still daydream about them. Our sweet server got me birthday dessert. Chocolate cake with raspberry sauce on it. It was devine. I couldn't tell if the cake was flourless. It was really dense like it was but I didn't mind. It was still so good. I enjoyed the raspberry sauce that came on it. Since the cake was so dense, the raspberry sauce added some brightness to it. As full as I was, I had to make sure my birthday dessert was finished. I'm a sucker for anything sweet no matter how full I am. Tonight's dining experience was great. Our server was sweet and delightful. Our food was killer good. My dessert was banger. And the vibe was chill. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better dinner to celebrate my birthday. I look forward to coming back, sitting on the patio and vibing out while enjoying our food.

The brisket was flavorful, the grits were good, and he substituted a biscuit for toast. Oddly, the biscuit was served completely plain. When I asked a staff member if it normally came with butter or jam, they looked genuinely confused by the question. I eventually just asked for jam, but it felt like a strange interaction. I ordered the Brisket Benedict and the Monte Cristo. The Benedict looked great when it arrived, but one poached egg was perfectly runny while the other was significantly overcooked with a mostly solid yolk. The brisket was dry, the collard greens underneath were dry, and there wasn't enough hollandaise to compensate. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and fine, but nothing memorable. The Monte Cristo was the biggest letdown. When I order a Monte Cristo, I expect something rich, savory, and indulgent. This version was made with bland white bread, the bacon was very soft, and the sandwich lacked the flavor and texture that make a Monte Cristo worth ordering. It looked better than it tasted. Service was pleasant, but no one checked on our table after the food arrived, despite the restaurant not being very busy. Had someone stopped by, I would have mentioned the overcooked egg. Overall, one good dish out of three isn't enough to make me want to return. Based on this visit, I'd give it 3 stars.

This was almost going to be a three-star review, but the food really stole the show. We came here for brunch on the last day of our trip. Every time I searched for the best breakfast or brunch spots, this place kept coming up, so we figured it was worth a visit. When we arrived, about half of the restaurant was empty, yet we were quoted a 15-minute wait. During the hour we spent there, I didn't see any of those empty tables get filled. I understand that some may have been reserved, but it did leave me wondering whether the wait was intended to create the impression of high demand by keeping a line outside.Once we were seated, our order was taken, but the food took another 20-30 minutes to arrive. Thankfully, it was worth the wait. I ordered the Salmon Benedict, while my husband had the Biscuits & Gravy. Both dishes were excellent. The salmon was beautifully smoked, the hollandaise sauce was rich and perfectly balanced, and even the breakfast potatoes were crisped to perfection. The biscuits and gravy were flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. One surprise was that they didn't have an espresso machine, which felt unusual for a restaurant known for brunch. We settled for orange juice, which tasted more like bottled juice than freshly squeezed. The staff was courteous throughout our visit, though I wouldn't necessarily describe the service as warm or particularly engaging.

The reason we went back the second time was because we remembered how good the food was and how nearby it was too. The second time the food was still really good, but the service was HORRENDOUS. Brittney was such a ***** to me and my parents, my mom especially. My mom was complimenting her and something about the food, and she straight up just walked away in the middle of my mom still talking. And no it wasn't busy. It was towards the end of the night, there was maybe 2-3 other customers there. She acted like we were bothering her the whole time. Then once she'd leave us would just stand up at the bar flirting with the other guy working there and just ignore anyone else. Then on top of all of that, my dad tells me she added $10 onto her tip! FRAUD!!! I've attached photos as evidence. My dad still tipped her even though she was so rude and disrespectful. But apparently that wasn't enough for her and added $10 onto the total. I cannot believe that. And my dad tells me it was difficult to get his $10 back after calling and talking to the manager. He didn't get the name of the manager but he said that they were just making excuses and saying oh but she's our best server. Obviously not! Saying things like oh she must've just been really busy. Again, we were there when it was dead and about to close soon, no it was not busy. It's almost as if this business does this type of thing often because there was no alarm from the manager, then finally after much deliberation decided to send back the $10. Absolutely ridiculous. No : "I'm so sorry here's a free meal on us", or atleast a "here's a coupon or gift card for next time you come in", nothing. This is the type of thing that gets people closed down. We should report to the BBB. This is insane. And to not be offered anything to make it right is what really gets me. Like do they not want us to ever come back??? Not to mention tell everyone we know, etc. Yikes! And this is what we get for wanting to support local businesses instead of going to the big chains. What a bummer.
