Every experience has been a good one- I've only gone in for dresses but each time has been the same! You go in, try the dress on, tell her what you need, make sure you bring the shoes you'll be wearing with the dress to make sure it's the right height, she does her thing. when it's done you pick it up. Turn around time for my most recent alteration was just a day! Also make sure you keep your ticket. And each time it was always affordable which is great! read more

I needed some patches on my motorcycle vest for a charity ride with the AmVet Riders. I was a 'walk in' and needed it asap...I politely asked if she had the time....she explained how busy her schedule was, but she also could tell it was so important to me to have the patch put on for an event in couple days...She listened to my situation, smiled at me, then said " Okay I do for you now". I needed to have a pair of jeans hemmed ASAP! I traveled to every cleaners in Forney in search for someone who did onsite alterations, and was unsuccessful. All the cleaners outsource this service. A lady at one of the cleaners recommended Yen Kim's to me. She said their cleaners took alterations to her when they are brought to them. I'd be eliminating the middle man going there directly because they wouldn't drop off alterations to Yen Kim for a few days. I called, she said I could bring the jeans in, she completed the alterations and I had my jeans back in 2 days. Perfect turn around time for my event. Thanks Yen Kim!!! read more

ZERO STARS. We paid over $200 in alterations, that's a lot of money, we paid ALOT more for the wedding dress she messed all up. Needed the straps tightened , now my front is crooked and the back piece MAIN PART doesn't clasp anymore. She took in from the waist of the others dress when it wasn't even requested - and made the other dress EXTREMELY too tight, around the ribcage which doesn't change in measurement. WONT REFUND US . I rarely ever leave reviews, good or bad but the lady there was just rude. I didn't feel welcomed at all. I called to see if they would be able to have my dress by the end of the week and she told me yes. I made it the following day and once there, she said she wouldn't have it done until the end of the following week. I also called to get an estimate and she said she needed to see the work first, understandable. I told her about our previous conversation and then she said "okay, try it on" she didn't seem happy so I told her if she couldn't do it then it was okay.. she said it was fine and for me to try it on. (I already felt uncomfortable by her reaction but I proceeded to try it on) She took my measurements and told me the price. The price was high for what I experienced before but I needed it done so I wanted to think about it and I made a quick phone call. After the phone call, I was explaining to her that I was thinking about it and she replied with "are you going to do it or no?" She made me so uncomfortable that I told her no. She then told me how I wasted her time and that I should have asked for the price before (which I did). She just kept repeating that I wasted her time. Worst experience ever. Do not recommend. I'm not sure whether the work she does is good or not. This is simply on how they treat you there. Which we all know, makes a business. read more
