Yes Car Service is like almost every other Chinese run taxi company. They all embody certain traits: cheap, fast, and dependable. So what's the problem? A few things, all fairly big deals in the world of arranged transportation. It's pretty apparent not all Chinese taxi companies are built the same. It's no secret I have praised Golden Horse (http://www.yelp.com/biz/new-golden-horse-car-and-limo-flushing) for being the best alternative-taxi company in the 5 boroughs and it's namely because of how punctual they are and their super reasonable prices. Yes Car Service is not following this model, as they have been 10 minutes late for my last two occasions, they're lucky I wasn't in a hurry for an event or had a plane to catch. Their prices will vary of course, but I feel GH might have the upper edge here. It's very possible Yes Car does not have the fleet of cars or the manpower to address every call timely, hence the difference is made up in price. Drivers have not been the best either. Most of these guys are freelance and work for multiple cab companies anyway, but my luck has endured the most ghetto fob of drivers. The kind that speak virtually no English (this will be a problem for many) and are not careful with my luggage. I can probably see myself using these guys again in the future, but not without some hesitation. For now, they're just "Maybe" Car Service for now. read more

Maybe now I am an official New Yorker. I am officially sans car. But with new progress comes growing pains. Yes, I do need to get around sometimes and MTA ain't going to cut it. So, of course, when you live in Flushing, you find a Chinese car service. Actually, my aunt did the leg work and found out this place has the cheapest car service. I called around 10pm and asked for a lift from LIJ to home. At first, I spoke English, so they told me no car service but then I switched into Chinese, and voila! There will now be a car coming to get me in 20 minutes. All those years of Chinese school paid off! They came on-time, charged me $22 for the trip and I was home in less than 15 minutes. If I had taken the Q46 and then transferred to the Q27, I wouldn't be here right now writing this review. MTA trip planner said it would take over an hour. Sometimes, you just gotta spend the money. Thank you for getting me home at a decent time. Clean SUV, air-conditioned, professional driver. Oh, and they like cash. But that goes without saying with Chinese businesses. It's the unspoken truth. Yes Car service ended up offering a cheaper rate and better driver for the same trip we took visit family on holidays between Brooklyn and Elmhurst. Of all my years as a native New Yorker I have never taken a van from Chinatown Manhattan to Flushing, Queens as it's an inconvenience for me with my route living in Southeastern Queens. A good friend and fellow language enthusiast intrigued me as a medium of faster conveyance of half-hour. The entire ride with no traffic was equal length as the MTA Subway system of one hour and fifteen minutes! The van is somewhat clean yet shabby appearance in the age as the seats have holes. For $2.50 flat fare (cash only) one-way riders are driven from Division Street in Chinatown to Main Street in Flushing, Queens. Drivers at Nah Car Service do NOT speak any English but mainly Mandarin, possibly all illegal immigrants paid minimum wage with minimal education and completely lacking class and style. Pitifully none of the drivers are capable to converse in Cantonese, of course, virtually no English. read more

RUDE DRIVER - I find the operator was okay but the driver was extremely rude. They would take the midtown tunnel without telling you ahead of time. When I realized I tried to negotiate to pay half but the office and driver said I must pay the toll on top of the service fee. The driver was so rude. He said the following: 1. He was going to drop me off in the middle of the highway. 2. He said he was going to bring me to the precinct if I don't pay the toll. 3. Worst experience ever, not sure how they still have any business. I work for a healthcare facility, I explained in detail how the customer is 94 years old, does not carry a cell phone. The guy asked for my office phone but refused to take my extension number. I had the customer waiting in our lobby right after my call. I also had my security guy lookout for a cab, not only did the cab not arrive (which could've still been used with or without a call), but they wanted to blame it on not being able to call into our company. Horrible service. Called a week in advance for 2 cars for airport pickup with flight details. Landed at 3:15pm and called to see where the car was. The lady who answered gave an attitude and said she called both numbers twice at 2:45 to tell us there were no cars available. RACIST Drivers / Managers!! I wish I could give negative stars. Called to get a cab in to Brooklyn. The driver pulled up and must have been surprised that I was black because 30 seconds into the drive he asked me to pay... BEFORE RENDERING SERVICE I'm called the dispatcher to complain about this rare business practice (never got in to any type of cab where I had to pay before?!?!) The driver TONG, pulled over the side of the road and started yelling at me The manager who took over the call explained that he "can't control his drivers" and did absolutely nothing to assist. I had a job in the city on Sat and there were an UN event around middle town so I don't want to drive my own car. I called Yes Car Service (中華電召車公司/大中華電召車公司)for a car in the morning to pick up myself in brooklyn and went to the second location in brooklyn to pick up my co-worker and went to madison and 50 street. They charged me for $34. I think it was a fare price. So after work, I called them to pick me up on Madison Ave + 50th and went back to brooklyn to drop off my coworker. The operator quoted me between $35-$40 and I was ok with it. We dropped off my co-worker and the driver requested go to the gas station to fill up the tank It took 15 mins and drove me home. I expected around $35-$40 but the driver quoted for $54 + tips. I told him I paid $34 this morning and he didn't give a thing. After I gave him $104 and expected him to return $50. He started to ask for the tip. I didn't pay him a penny extra. You just hate someone raised up the price at the door and I won't call them anymore!!! read more

Driver came before I even decided that I was going to use this company. Fine. Since he is outside my house, I figured I will just go even when I wasn't ready to leave. Here's the worst part. HE FELL ASLEEP DRIVING. Driver was so tired he kept falling asleep and almost KILLED US FOUR TIMES! I screamed for my life the very last time because I thought we were going off the ramp. I think he finally woke up but he almost got into four accidents, where it was his fault. This was the scariest ride of my life. I understand he is just trying to make a living but it isn't fair to put our lives at risk. He is trying to make a living at the expense of the lives of his passengers. NEVER AGAIN! Don't bother to call Yes Car Service in Flushing unless you're Asian. You will be told, "No cars in Flushing," and before you can ask when a car might be available, you are disconnected. When you call back, Yes Car Service just doesn't answer the phone. Complaining to TLC or local politicians doesn't help either. read more

I called today for a cab to travel 0.6 miles with 2 stops within a couple blocks..cost $14..are you joking with me? I gave him $15 expecting change back, but he automatically assumed it was tip. The driver said it was company policy and said his company doesn't count mileage, they do it another way. What taxi company doesn't count mileage to price their fares?? Asian cabs are suppose to be the cheaper alternative especially when you're going within 0.6 miles. Then I called the company to complain, and they said the fare is $12, so the taxi driver lied about the price and took my tip. Never using this company again. Dangerous and unprofessional. One of their drivers ran a stop sign and almost hit us. Then had the nerve to be mad.

I used them 2 times in total and both time is pretty satisfied. The first time I was REALLY satisfied. I called them to pick me up in front of the library because I just neutered my friend's dog at the ASPCA truck; they didn't let me walk him back home so I had to call a cab. The woman on the phone who I called was very nice and friendly. She told me that since I don't have a cage for the dog it might be a problem getting a driver. I waited for her to find someone and then she did I was so glad because I would have no other way of getting the dog home. When the driver came, he didn't talk in Canto or English only Mando. Kind of a problem because I was rushing and English is my first language even though I usually talk Canto to people who provide services and are Chinese (gets through them quicker lol). So, if you're an English speaker or a Canto only speaker; it might be difficult to communicate with the driver. The trip was pretty cheap. The Flushing library to Poplar Ave was just $8; I gave him $2 tip for the dog ;) My 2nd trip was alright. The guy on the phone said $10 for me to get to QCC from 41st Ave. But, at the end it was $15. Either way I didn't mind cause the driver's car was clean and didn't smell bad. The guy was also a Mando speaker no English or Canto. Would be better if the drivers at least know English; even some basics would be better but they only speak Mando. :T But they're good I'll use them again if I need to. read more

I needed a car to pick me up from Bayside, go to her school, wait for me to retrieve her and then return home. I live 2 miles (8 minutes by car) to the school. They had the nerve to charge me $44 ROUNDTRIP! When I called the dispatch (while in the car), they said it's the same price at $22 one-way even if it is from Flushing. This is ridiculous. I was at their mercy because I needed to pick her up right away. I usually use Golden Horse but they didn't have an available cab. I will NEVER use this cab company again. Rates should be based on distance traveled from the pick up location; not from their office in Flushing. Thieves. Car # 536 almost ran me and my friend over today in Flushing. He busted an illegal u turn and then almost hit us and other people crossing the street for failure to yield to pedestrians! I was shocked that this happened. This dangerous driver needs to find another job definitely NOT as a car service driver. I wish there was a zero star rating because that's what Yes Car Service deserves. My friend recently booked this service to pick him and his family up from JFK airport. He made a reservation online with all of the flight information. Yes Car Service immediately charged him. My friend then tried to email Yes Car about how/where to meet at JFK upon arrival but there was no reply. After three emails last week, I asked my friend for his reservation information (which he took a screenshot of) and I called Yes Car. The lady who picked up the phone was very rude, I explained the situation and she told me to have my friend call him when he gets off the plane. I told the lady that my friend will not have a phone but I can call them to confirm that they've arrived once I checked the flight status. I told the lady that on the confirmation, the flight info is there, and it may take more than 30-45 minutes for my friends to get out of the airport (time to walk from plane to baggage claim, get suitcases, etc), but she said the driver will wait up to 15 minutes only, then leave. I asked her if the driver will hold a sign or will be near the exit waiting, she said that my friends were to walk around to look for the car. I then asked her to change the pick up time to a little later so that will ensure that my friend's family will have enough time to get their suitcases. She said "have them call us after they get their baggage" and hung up on me. I called right back and asked her if there were any decals on the car, or if the driver will drive to the curb of the baggage claim area. She said "there is a yellow sticker on the car". I then asked if she can update the phone number of the booking and she hung up as a man picked up the phone. He said "what do you want?" And I explained my situation and asked if he can update the phone number. He said "we can't update any info, just call for the car when they are ready". So I asked if there is a way to cancel their original booking, and he said "no". He told me to call them the day before the car service is needed and give him the details, and hung up on me. read more

I had a morning flight to catch at Laguardia and called over four different car services at 7:30am and all told me that they didn't have ANY cars. Yes Car was the only car service that had cars. They came right to my door in about 10 minutes, brought me to Laguarda in less than 20 minutes. They were also affordable. They were friendly (the driver offered to help me with my bags). I always use them when going to and from the airport. They have always been early except once when the driver was just 5 minutes late.
