She listens intently and then her craftsmanship is top notch. I initially made an appointment about a custom dress but ended up getting a Kleinfeld's dress due to personal reasons. Instead of paying New York prices for alteration, I brought my dress to Brittany because there's just something about getting that gut feeling knowing you can trust someone with one of those important life events and one of a kind garments. She ended up doing a French Bustle on my 12-layer dress, adding boning to the top, bringing in the bust, shortening the dress by quite a bit, and switching out the skirts zipper for grommets and ribbon to allow for weight differences if I had any. When I returned for my first fitting, everything was perfect... there was no need for multiple trips, I took my dress home at our 2nd appointment! Talk about efficient and then her flawless work... no one would ever know my dress was altered, it looked like it was made for me specifically. I also had her alter my mother's dress which included shortening and adjusting the top to fit her shoulders better, my mom took her dress home the same day as I did. I can't recommend Brittany enough, seriously, anyone I hear that needs a seamstress especially for weddings, I rave about her customer service and beautiful work. Oh, by the way, her shop is adorable! It's spacious and welcoming, farmhouse chic and she has a bunch of wedding dresses and flower girl dresses available in shop to try on and/or purchase. Actually something I learned about Brittany while working with her is that her passion is taking old/used wedding dresses and making the alterations to create a new dress from it, hence the shops name. :)

Especially since Reena said they could do anything we wanted. I am getting married in September and we were looking for kurtha pajamas for the groomsmen. In February (6 months ago), the guys who don't live in the area they are all over the East coast, made the trip to DC so they could touch, try on and see in person her inventory. Deciding what they wanted and getting fitted was a great experience. She was very patient, etc. She asked for 50% as a deposit (total for 5 came to $500). We paid $250 and she told us that they would be here early May, but she would call me when they arrived. Mid May - I haven't heard anything so I call her. She tells me it might be another week or so. No problem. Estimates are just estimates. Beginning June - no word. I call her again. She said the items are shipped and we will have them in a week. 9 days later - no word. I call her again. She said she has all the kurtha pajamas, but one. The grooms is not in there. So she has called them again to make it. It should ship in a week. 1 week later - no word. I call her again. Okay they have shipped, it will be here in a week 8 days later - no word. Okay it will be here next Friday definitely. Next Friday - no word. Call her again. Okay it will be here Monday or Tuesday for sure. Tuesday - no answer, leave a message. Wednesday - my fiancee calls three times asking for a tracking number. Wednesday afternoon - I finally call and I am PISSED. I tell her that she has horrible customer ethics by telling me what I want to hear and not what is actually happening. I give her 3 demands: 1) I want a tracking number by COB that day. 2) If these aren't in her hand in 24 hours I am cancelling my order, never working with her again and letting everyone know never to work with her and 3) Indian part of the wedding is ruined thanks to her. She keeps apologizing. Sorry is not good enough. I gave her ample chances and she had no idea what was going on. I finally told her that if she could give me a BIG discount for my issues (not 10%) something significant, I would let it go and not broadcast for others to never come here. I walked in yesterday and she gave me $15 off a $500 order. I yelled at her again and said I was NEVER going to return to this place. It was my first and last time. Reena is a sweetheart, but she is incredibly dumb and insensitive. I hope she takes my feedback and does what she says she will do. Do yourself a favor and don't EVER go to Reena's Boutique in Springfield. It is not worth it and her prices are not good anyways. I wish I had seen some of these reviews before going.
