I love a good resort spa massage on vacation, but even the nicest of spas can't compare to this. I've been a regular here for almost 8 years, and the Swedish/thai combo is my go-to. Nikki has a way of listening to what your body needs without you even having to say anything. She reacts and adjusts based on what she observes. I always leave feeling stretched and relaxed. And one of my favorite parts of the experience is sitting quietly with the tea & crackers they serve at the end. It's a great way to ease back into the day after a relaxing session. This also makes the business's emphasis on their "first 15 minutes" policy especially frustrating. I have been a customer for more than six years and had never had an experience like this. I was trying to give a therapist I had never seen before a fair opportunity to adjust after I gave her feedback, not watching the clock to make sure I exited before an arbitrary cutoff. I repeatedly communicated that the pressure was painful and asked her to adjust. My original complaint was not simply that I wanted a refund after finishing a massage I disliked. It was about a very poor experience despite my attempts to communicate, followed by a dismissive response when I brought it to the front desk. Their public response is considerably more apologetic than the response I actually received in person, but unfortunately the emphasis on what I should have done within the first 15 minutes only reinforces my disappointment with how this was handled. Apparently, my attempt to be patient and give the therapist a chance is now being used to suggest that I chose to accept the experience. Beware.

This small wellness studio is the first of its kind, specializing in cold plunges, saunas, and massages. I booked all three to celebrate my birthday. This spa felt like a taste of the Pacific Northwest in Southern California. The space was claiming, isolated, and they pay attention to the smallest of details. The sauna/cold plunge rooms are built for two. While the space is booked singularly, you can add on an additional person $25. This room also comes with a shower and you can even order a fancy THC beverage to lean into the experience. I personally love a cold plunge, but pairing it with a sauna was.. chefs kiss. I couldn't image a better way to start a new year. The massage was incredible as well. You can tell when someone knows the human anatomy and their expertise branch into physical therapy.
