Classes have a healthy number of kids in them, mixed ages and belts-- although there are separate classes for basic belts vs advanced belts. I really like how Mr. Yoo teaches the class, involving the entire group. Lower belts learn from watching higher belts, and sometimes the kids at higher belts tutor lower belts on movements. He "gamifies" different sections of the class, which keeps things motivating and entertaining. But also, Mr. Yoo keeps high standards on expectations for the kids without being brutal about it. In my own child, I feel that he's growing an appreciation for earning his accomplishments and the hard work that goes behind it. I've also seen him push himself past his own comfort zone and achieve some really amazing feats. The room has a great community feel to it that is positive, even when things get a little competitive. Overall, I couldn't wish for a more perfect experience for our son (and believe me, we shopped around looking at several studios before landing on this one).
