One of those things was reducing the number of keys hanging from my steering column and belt. A couple years ago while in the area, I stopped in this shop to replace a cracked vehicle key before it broke off. I saw a gold padlock on the counter with a house key in it. "You guys can actually make padlocks that use house and office keys", I asked. It was explained that it is possible. I immediately had some padlocks made for me, drastically reducing the senseless number of keys hanging from my steering column and making a small part of my life far more simple. For me, this was a great idea because I'm the only one working all these locks. For someone else who has a number of people working a bunch of locks, ...maybe give that some security thought. A while ago I recieved a call that there was a door ajar notification. By the time that I got there the local police had already checked the entire area and were waiting for entry. Just recently had my first service related issue, trouble setting the lockout code. The owner of the company came out and diagnosed the issue as smoke alarm batterys and motion sensor adjustment. I bought the batterys and had a small issue with clearing a code. The owner of the company came back out and showed me how to correctly clear all the codes. He rebuilt it and we no longer have problems with that lock. Mark also rekeyed all our locks and punched (not ground on a wheel) new keys. The new keys work so smooth! Previous guy ignored instructions, used older inferior equipment, screwed up key, I had to send back to vendor to get unlocked.
