As a female, I'm always a little hesitant entering a place that has no staff at certain hours, but I've never had a problem. All of the patrons here are polite, and I feel fairly comfortable going in at anytime. Clean towels, fairly good magazines, and spotless floors and equipment. Some people gawk at the price ($45 a month for 1 year contract) but I think it's perfect. You truly get your $$$ worth. I like supporting a local business, and If I have an issue, I can actually talk to someone instead of being given the run around, like with chain gyms.

She's been raving about this place since she started working out here so I decided to join her for a Saturday morning workout. On our way there, I was a bit anxious because I can't do CrossFit due to injuries. Previous gyms I have been to had always been pretty judgmental - "why would you come to a CrossFit gym if you don't do CrossFit?" "Oh.. so do you even workout?" - but this place is different. From the second I walked in, I knew I was going to like it. All of the coaches I met (Katie, Ryan, Bill, and Michael) were super friendly and greeted me right away. I told them I wasn't going to do the scheduled workout and they walked me around and showed me the equipment and which area was best to do my own thing. They had all of the equipment I needed (bikes, ergs/rowers, free weights, barbells, bands, etc.) and I had an awesome workout! If you're looking for treadmills and ellipticals, this isn't the place for you. But, if you want an awesome community and a fun place to workout, definitely check them out!

Every other PF and their HQ have refused pleas to turn them off. HQ passes the buck. The local gyms and franchise owners pass it back. This gym owns what they air. When I complimenetd the staff they simply said "this is suppose to be a relaxing place". Yeah!! They actually understand their role. Now, I hate the new equipment; the recumbent bikes are uncomfortable; seats hard as rocks, back support even harder. Was miserable. They have no arc or elliptical machines, replaced by some ridiculous thing that really sucks. They do have treadmills but no one should ever use a treadmill as they are awful for you. The gym is clean, a big win.

Playground review:…read more Visited on a Friday morning around 9:45 a.m. with my 4-, 3-, and 20-month-old. There was plenty of parking, and I was happy to see a nice outdoor bathroom nearby. When we arrived, it wasn't too crowded, probably around 4-6 kids already there. The playground was great for my older kids, though there were a few areas where my youngest could have fallen out easily. The entire playground has turf surfacing and includes several handicap-accessible play options. I also appreciated the shaded areas with umbrellas, especially later in the morning. By around 10:45, it became much hotter and significantly more crowded, probably closer to 25 kids, though there was still enough room for everyone to play comfortably. One of my favorite features was that the entire playground is fully fenced in, with a latch high enough that young children can't easily let themselves out. Overall, this was a great option for families with multiple young kids because of the secure fencing, accessibility, and easy parking.

From my orientation class to have done over 75 classes now I will say I am addicted. They come out with packages all the time and challenges so we can stock up for the year but I do recommend this Pilates establishment out of the other big name ones in town. I absolutely love this place. don't know if I'll ever stop coming here. You just can't get the same experience somewhere else. The classes are so great because they have an intercom system with them, motivating you and telling you how to do something in TVs all along the walls showing you the movement and guiding you through the steps to make sure that you are accurately doing the workout correctly. And then you have the instructors going around correcting what needs to be fixed to give you the best workout. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I recently got back into Reformer Pilates and it's all thanks to a special instructor (Cobble) and…read morean amazing new studio in St. Matthew's. Right after the new year I was sent an introductory offer, which I think they are still promoting, for an introductory class and 6 additional classes for $60! The caveat is that you have to use within 2 weeks. (After the intro session classes are around $25 or less, depending on the package you select). Of course I signed up and made it my mission to complete the classes. This is a new studio, that is clean, minimalist and beautiful. The studio is tucked upstairs of the shopping center near Thierman Lane. When you enter you are immediately greeted by staff and asked for your name to sign in. Merchandise, drinks, and socks are for sale at the desk. There is a small area to hang jackets and leave shoes. They also have a changing room in case you come right after work (like I often do)! While you wait for classes to begin there is a sitting area with a couch and two comfy chairs. Then the instructor comes out and greets you about 5 minutes before the class begins and invites you inside the studio. I think there are 16 reformers in the studio about 3 feet apart from each other. The instructors are very knowledgeable and help with form and pushing you until the movement is over. They also walk around at the beginning to chat with everyone. The classes are taught with through recorded exercise classes on TVs throughout the studio. It will suggest a spring range and they explain the movement. Reformer Pilates is little movements to tone and tighter the body. I have loved getting back into the classes and look forward to many more in the future. I only wish the classes were slightly longer - they run about 40 minutes with the stretch at the end. I would highly recommend if you've never tried it or are looking for a new routine.

I have a Classpass membership so when I saw that B You offered silque yoga, I immediately booked a class, as it is something that I have always wanted to try but never saw it offered anywhere. I have been a couple of times now and this is the only type of class that I've done here, but it is awesome! I love yoga, but always prefer something a bit more challenging so this was the perfect fit.... You will definitely be feeling it all over afterward!! The instructor has been great and will help each person in the class, no matter what their skill level is. I was definitely intimidated at first but found that both newbies and pros will be in these classes. I've seen that they also offer trampoline workouts, which is on my radar, but love the fact that they have these other unique options, too. I'll definitely be around a lot more in the future!
