It's very crowded for the space it has and seems as though 16 year olds posing in all the mirrors and standing around like it's recess is the new norm. the weekend hours are absolute trash closing at 5pm. There are many people including myself that would rather spend a Saturday evening at the gym than the bar.

Lauderdale , Fl and my home gym is a HIIT training facility. I am in good shape and stay active.. (it's my normal) so its always a challenge to maintain this lifestyle when i'm "on the road" Upon walking into True I was pleasantly surprised at the gyms set up. There is one section dedicated to Crossfiters, one dedicated to FOCUS training, a general gym area, a nicely designed AND CLEAN locker room , a sauna, as well as a small health store for smoothies, supplements, etc. The General gym area has a variety of free weights, kettle bells, machines, and open floor to allow for what ever style of exercise you prefer. The staff is very polite. Overall I was very happy with this gym.. and if I lived in Dubuque.. it would definitely be the place i call home!

I started in the class in the middle of a 5 week session. I had to pay a pro-rated amount for the remaining classes in the session when I arrived on the first night and when I needed to cancel due to a work conflict two days later ... the traiiner said there were no refunds. He stated in an email to me that he couldn't put anyone else in my spot and that's why "I don't offer refunds. I can't run a business that way". (a direct quote) The cancellation policy or lack there of is not noted anywhere in any legal jargon: not on the company's website or facebook page. That's a bad way to run a business -- you need to be flexible with your customer base and your refund policies. Skipping classes is one thing ... cancelling out is another. Since I joined in the middle of the session -- I found it hard to believe he coudn't put anyone else in my spot .. I think this club is his only source of income and he spent the money .. which is why he couldn't refund it. I guess this would be a great place to go if you wanted to sue someone and win big ... you don't sign a contract when you "join", so there is also no explanation of the terms of your payment or waiver of liability if you get hurt -- just his word against yours .. which woud never stand up in court.

They have several separate rooms allocated to PF 360, abs and other weight works, so there's a nice amount of places to use a mat for your routine We are having done 90 degree plus days here and the AC is just not keeping up in here- it was quite uncomfortable and humid. Maybe because it's part of the mall? They have four showers and four dressing rooms plus a significant locker area in the restroom as well. This would be a great time to grab some more space in the mall to spread some of this out, clearly they have demand here!

In May, I paused my membership before going on a trip, yet I continued to be charged. When I returned, the pause didn't actually take effect until about a month later. Since I was back and using the gym again, I had the membership reactivated. Then on August 13, I canceled my membership but changed my mind the very next day. I spoke with an employee at the front desk who told me they would stop the cancellation and keep my membership active. Unfortunately, that never happened. When I called on August 17 to find out why my membership had still not been canceled, I was told that either the request to stop the cancellation was never entered or it did not go through. Instead of taking responsibility for the error, the staff made it seem like the situation was my fault. I asked if they could waive the annual fee if I signed back up, since I had already paid it just two months ago and would be required to pay it again in October. They refused to work with me or offer any reasonable solution. The most disappointing part wasn't the mistake itself. Mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of accountability and willingness to help a member who was actively trying to stay with the gym. My experience left me feeling like member satisfaction takes a back seat to collecting fees. Would not recommend based on the customer service I've received.

I visited this place to use the gym area. Since I paid $10 or $15 as a visitor, I was looking forward to jogging on a treadmill with a built in TV. Instead I was met with a treadmill that looked like it was a hand me down form Richard Simmons work out video. A treadmill that was created when it was first invented. In other words not modern at all. It was practical but not what I was used to. The other alternative was to go to Anytime Fitness since I like their treadmills more but it was the weekend (8am) and staff has to be around to let people in. You can't just walk in. So anyhow...my alternative was not in abundance and I settled..I ran my happy butt on the treadmill for 30 minutes while watching people below smack tennis balls around. If it's not for some tennis I don't think I'd visit this gym again UNLESS..they shut down THE GYM or ANYTIME FITNESS

This is probably the filthiest, most run down, anytime I have been to. And I have been to roughly…read more20 of them. It's one of those gyms where the owner has fallen into complacency. Doesn't workout there. Just collects folks money every month and leaves it. You can see from my photos. Broken bands, plates that are falling apart. Holes in walls. Dirt and grime that is years old. And machines that are in need of recovering. I was in town to see friends and wanted to do leg day. While I was able to complete leg day, I wouldn't come back. I will say the power rack I used was fine, the weights literally fell apart in your hands. The 80 dumbbell I picked up didn't have rubber around 40% of it. Just ugh. I did my workout and GTFO. This could be a gold mine for the owner. Bring in new equipment. Deep clean the place. Fix the machines, and planet wouldnt have a leg to stand on.
