We had an amazing experience with Bonnie and Tim when we got both of our Labradoodles from them. Bonnie was super responsive to my emails and answered all my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. We met Bonnie and two of her dogs (Grace and Jack) before making our final decision. Grace and Jack's gentle, calm demeanors sealed the deal for us. Brookside Labradoodles is an All Star WALA breeder and a Golden Paw ALAA breeder (for the World Australian Labradoodle Association and Australian Labradoodle Association of American respectively) so you know they are ethical breeders who breed dogs free of the common genetic defects affecting Labradoodles. The puppies are raised in their home and given the absolutely best start in life. It shows! Our dogs recently turned a year old and are much calmer than most doodles we meet. We had visited a few golden doodle Breeders online and in person, in state and out of state. We did a lot of extensive research. While Searching the web, up popped Colony Breeders. We called and spoke with Troy. Very friendly and informative. He invited us to come down to Galt , and meet his dogs (the parents) they were expecting a litter soon. We were quite impressed by the cleanliness of the property and how well groomed the dogs were! Troy and Katie we're very informative about their dogs and the whole breeding experience. The puppies were born April 10th 2017. We knew we wanted a female, so that was all we will see every time we visited (which was quite often). We were 2nd pick. I had an idea which one of two I was going to choose, the day came June 3, 2017...I got out the car and started towards the puppies and here she came running towards me... my perfect fur baby!! Our girl Karli, has been a life changer for us.. she is so smart and was potty trained to go to the door (very impressive). Well behaved, loves people, children, everywhere we go she goes and people comment on how well she acts for a 2 1/2 year old puppy.. I did a lot of research before and she was the closest to me and from the pictures online seemed to be the perfect match for what I was looking for. The pictures of the parents looked a bit outdated (which they are). Also, I am almost positive that the weights for the dogs on the website are incorrect because Bailey was said to be around 30 pounds, but when seeing her in person she looked between 40-50 lbs. Communication with Nancy was good in the beginning, but once puppies came and I would ask for pictures she wouldn't text back until she sent a weekly/biweekly update that was very generic. My puppy ended up with Giardia when she came home and I was let know by someone else from my litter that the vet records were falsified and I had contacted the vet that was on the records and they confirmed that she had been falsifying records for a long time now. I contacted Nancy about this and she tried to lie at first over text and was ignoring all my phone calls. Finally after calling a few times she admitted that she had administered the shots herself. She refunded me my deposit to cover the giardia cost, but I will not be recommending her or be going through her for another puppy.

She has blossomed into an absolute social butterfly--spreading love and joy everywhere we go. Amber, Sarah, Rosemary and the entire Elite team were supportive and responsive throughout the process. Jayla uploaded adorable weekly training and socialization videos, which we still watch together. My pup arrived fully crate trained and mostly potty trained (I don't expect 100% success at this age). They did warn me that Emmy is a "Velcro dog". Boy, they weren't kidding! Emmy needs constant love and attention but this has been one of her most endearing qualities. I've enrolled her in a puppy prep school where she's thrived--making dozens of new friends and charming all the trainers! Lastly--and this may seem superficial but her striking Tiffany blue-green eyes have persisted at 5+ months. Green eyes are extremely rare--especially among labradoodles. So, this shouldn't be a driver in selecting a dog or breeder but like I said--I might just be the luckiest puppy parent on the planet right now. :)
