First off the name of this place it self cracked me up and my friends plus we were craving "yogurt" Icecream so why not try a different restaurant. 1. Parking is a limited. (5 stars bc parking is out of their control) city dictates parking 2. The staff is incredibly nice! 3. Their favors are tasteful and bomb ( I don't feel like I am going to explode after eating ) 4. Their prices are based off of the weight scale which seem less than most "yogurt" places. 5. They have more to the shop than yogurt! They sell smoothies, coffee for those caffeine dependent people don't worry there's a lot of us and of course some snacks. I personally am not a froyo fan - but my husband and I were bored and thought we'd give it a try. We both got cake batter and pistachio froyo and both were delicious! Extremely creamy - tasted just like a good soft serve. The topping selections were endless - I added cheesecake bites and although they were good, I probably wouldn't add toppings next time. My husband added a bunch of toppings to his and said there were all delicious. Lots of options and great customer service. Highly recommend if you're in need of a sweet fix! read more

I can really only speak to the frozen yogurt, but it's my favorite in town. They have a wall of cereal for toppings in addition to your usual fresh fruit and candy. But my favorite topping (that I personally haven't seen before in a yogurt shop) is the puppy chow. Such a nice touch. Dear Yo Factory Staff, I love you. You are pretty and nice all the time. You are never impatient with me when I am suddenly indecisive at the register, even though I wouldn't blame you if you were because that's the worst. You bring smoothies to my lazy ass on the other side of the store, and sometimes you bring the extra that you accidentally made! You are honest about what's good and what's in your stuff. Let's be real, I do not care if you handed me a cup of high fructose corn syrup. But you handed me a cup of pureed fruit and offered to let me see the container to prove it. Maybe my standards are lower than my fellow Yelpers, maybe those reviews are too old to have fully appreciated what Yo Factory currently has. Who knows. I think this might've been the best frozen yogurt I have had in a long time. They had so many fun flavors and I always love the self serve part of frozen yogurt. They also had many, many toppings to choose from and some that I hadn't seen at other frozen yogurt places. The set-up of the location is also very homey with having furniture that you would commonly actually find in someone's home. They also have a bunch of board games that you are able to play. My fiance and I are always looking for great frozen yogurt places...so when we saw this place we made a point to stop! Though they were not technically open (they open 4/21/2012) they let us sample any of the 8 flavors available! The owner's whole family appeared to be present, and all were very friendly, encouraging us to try different samples and toppings. This makes my inner late-teens white girl very happy. I've been here a handful of times, and I could definitely become a regular. It's cheap and completely customizable dessert. What's not to like? I love how they rotate flavors of fro yo. The cherry and pink lemonade are especially good, especially loaded up with fruit and bobas. I thought the cake batter flavor was a little on the heavy side, but it seems to be a favorite, since when I'm there I always see people choosing that one. There's a metric ton of toppings ranging from candies to fruit to sauces. You can mix and match to find something you're into. The staff is always super friendly, and I've never walked out paying more than $6. On second thought, can you really write a substantive review about a serve your own froyo place? My favorite Fro yo in the area - for a few reasons: 1. The atmosphere is comforting, a place where you want to hang out and enjoy your delicious concoction. 2. The people who work there are seriously awesome. So friendly, smiley, and actually happy that they work there! 3. Punch cards - enough said. Free yogurt! 4. And lastly, let's talk about the Fro yo itself. Tons of great flavors, at any given time there are 8. With regulars of alpine vanilla, chocolate, and original tart. It seems that flavors change every week. Just had toffee, chocolate covered strawberry, Lemon burst, pomegranate. Another nice touch is that each yogurt is labeled nonfat, low fat, or non dairy. I've been waiting for the East Side's version of Yo Mama (excellent Wauwatosa fro-yo) to show itself. It is time. Yo Factory has a nice space, friendly staff, and good frozen yogurt and toppings. We went here for the first time today to take care of an ice cream craving I was having. It was nice to have a frozen treat option that is less guilty than actual ice cream. It's pretty straight forward and I think they had a nice selection of items. I tried the key lime frozen yogurt and it was a bit too tart at first but it could have just been me - my taste buds have been acting wonky as hell the past few weeks because of being sick. I'll have to try it again (purely for research, naturally). I can't imagine why anyone would want dry cereal on frozen yogurt, but they have it in spades if that's your thing. They had a good choice of fruit and someone must have been reading the reviews because there was a huge bin of Oreo cookie crumbles. It was $.45 per ounce, and it really adds up. Two treats (although one was ginormous, thank you, bf) were over $12 which is a little pricey. I like to think that this is "healthy" so this will definitely be a frequent summer spot. read more

It's not often that I feel the compulsion to drop everything and go-to-fro-yo. But sometimes? Tractor beam. Last night = one of those times. Luckily, the man friend lives nearby recently-ish opened Yo Factory, so mid our mid-evening walk we head in to check the place out. And it's okay! I mean, it has everything that fro-yo places have, and it's just fine for what it is. While seemingly not as super-clean/sterile/brightly lit as some of the other places, I don't mind. And they have a kick-ass old timey looking jukebox, so points for that. Awesome. Tons of folks hanging out in and outside of this somewhat small-ish space; ranging from groups of college kids to older couples. Of note, and the reason for the three star rating: Punch card = not per purchase, but per four dollars spent... so if you're not nommin' on mo' than fo', you ain't getting a punch. Kind of a bummer there. Also, topping selection = not as vast as some of the other spots I've visited in the MKE area (read: Yo Mama, MyYoMy, etc.) Overall? A friend and I stopped in here after a haircut because it was unbelievably hot today, and I'm so glad we did. As soon as we got in the door, someone came over and asked if we knew what we were doing (we didn't), so she quickly showed us how to sample flavors, fill our cups, and add toppings. She also explained that the price was by weight before we started filling cups, which was awesome of her. The place was fairly busy (not really a surprise given the temperature), but it didn't take long for us to move through the queue and to get checked out even though the flow seemed a little awkward. I sampled two flavors that sounded interesting to me (cake batter and blueberry) and they were both yummy. I enjoyed the selection of toppings, especially the fresh fruit. I wasn't sure what I would end up with, but the cake batter & blueberry yogurt with lime gel topping, coconut, strawberries, cherries, mango, and lychee boba was somehow amazing. I really enjoyed how I was able to make my own creation - you are able to choose from a number of frozen yogurts and add endless amount of toppings (I ended up with a crazy contraption but it was amazing). So far so good. I've only been once, but I liked this place better than other local yogurt places so its 4 stars. Loved that they have little paper cups for you to taste the yogurt flavors - that's a great detail. At another shop, I'd gotten what I wanted and ended up spending like $8 for my yogurt, so I was super-concious of what I was putting in my cup. I had a taste of the vanilla and of the orange and topped it with some oreo cookie crumbs and my total was less than $3! The spoons are really sturdy and fully biodegradable, which I thought was cool. The condiment-y stuffs are cool because they have a wall of cereal dispensers! So in addition to the little buffet of brownies bits and strawberries, there's a whole unique section of add-ins. So I'll be back, for sure! read more

I love this place but lately they've been not as good in service as they have been in the past. We showed up at 6pm and they were closed, when their website said open and a sign on their door said "Open 7 days a week, 12pm - 10pm". Hands down, favorite frozen yogurt place in the Milwaukee area. They always serve Original Tart, which gives them mega points in my book. The texture on the Froyo is wonderful (creamy) and the sorbet quality high (smooth). They always have a nice variety of flavors. The toppings are excellent. The fruit is always fresh, and mochi/gummies are soft and chewy. You can tell they don't let their toppings sit out and go stale (also very important with the cookie dough/brownie bites). The location also serves Rishi Teas - and they know that temperature differences exist for different tea types. If you love coconut, try the coconut oolong, it's amazing. They are also involved with the community, supporting fundraisers. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They make this place a cut above the rest of the other frozen yogurt businesses. read more

It's actually pretty good. The toppings selection is larger than Yo Mama now and their froyo flavors have improved. Thumbs up! My big complaint is the selection. They don't have as many flavors as other froyo places. The atmosphere is much better than when they first opened. It was sort of a thrown-together look for various random things. Now, it actually looks eclectically uniform. It feels "east-side". I love frozen yogurt and have been to most of the places in Milwaukee. They are almost all identical. There is a bank of machines with 2 flavors plus a swirl option, then a toppings station. Every place is the same. And the frozen yogurt is delicious! The reason this place gets 3 stars is because of the lack of flavors. If I need a fro yo fix this is the place I go. I am obsessed- the fro yo flavors are on point and there is such a variety of toppings, you can create a masterpiece. Start off with a little cake batter and then a swirl of vanilla. When I was a newbie, I used to put my fro yo in and then my toppings but I have learned that the secret is to layer with a little bit of fro yo and then some toppings here and there. Yo Factory's variety of toppings gets me giddy just thinking about it- you got the fruits that taste oh so fresh and then the sweet from puppy chow to whole Girl Scout cookies. You can add a little crunch in there with some nuts and then top it off with one (or more) of their sauces- think Nutella, chocolate- I mean yum. My favorite is the espresso dust! First off, I couldn't be more happier with all the new fro-yo places popping up around town. I go to Yogurtland at least once on every trip to LA. Therefore, I was anxious to try Yo Factory. First off, the space is very nice & welcoming and the staff was very polite. But on to the froyo... Yogurt Options: decent. They have your standard tart, vanilla, red velvet, etc. The blueberry acai was tasty. My problem with the yogurt was that it tasted a little grainy. It wasn't as smooth as other fro-yo. Topping Options: I thought it was good. There's a lot of dry cereal & cookie toppings. I enjoyed the mochi, mango and kiwi. My wife was sad that they didn't have raspberries, blueberries or blackberries. Price: I felt we both made small to medium size dishes and the price was almost $7, on the higher end for fro-yo. Overall: the location will make it a place I go back to more often since it's better than the other froyo options outside of 'tosa. I hope they work out the graininess issue with the yogurt and maybe if they get more popular they'll be able to price the yogurt more reasonably (haha, but a girl can dream). read more

Best frozen yogurt joint in town. Crazy amount of add on options. Friendly, laid back service that allows you time to taste test the yogurts. Found this place when I went to the U.S. bank up the road one day and Yo Factory had their people there giving out samples. Also serve coffee and "make your own" frappes. Just a cool place to hang out and enjoy a lower calorie dessert. WARNING: Don't park your car across the street at the out of date, 1970's diner. They have a dude that sits on a stool and watches people who arn't supposed to park there and he'll follow you all the way into Yo Factory and tell you to move. We stopped in here the other day for dessert and found it to be the average frozen yogurt shop. They have about 8 flavors, including the standard vanilla, chocolate, and pomegranate, but also red velvet. The cookies and cream is actually amazing. It's a small self-serve place, but they had a lot more toppings than I expected, including mocchi and bobas. Slightly better than the average frozen yogurt place based on the toppings and the fact that there are other menu items. I didn't really look at the smoothie options, but there were other things besides frozen yogurt... My only complaint is that they charged us for the soda we brought in with us, and we didn't realize this until after we had already left...:( read more

Fro-yo shops are a dime a dozen around these parts. I feel like I can go almost anywhere and get the same flavors. What differs is the name. The identity of this place: "trendy factory." Though, I was expecting more industrial, it's not. That's besides the point. They have fro-yo here. If you're looking to get your fix, you'll find it. Somewhat limited on their selection compared some other places I've been to. Reasonably priced comparatively. What's cool about the YF is you're not limited on just ordering yogurt. You can get drinks here too. Tea, coffee, etc. Cool signs in the shop that are interesting to read. One even taught me about the benefits of yogurt! This seems to be a hot spot for UWM students. Also a date spot for some. There was a jukebox that was spitting out some tunes on par with my liking. I'll plan to continue my search for the best fro-yo in the world. read more

Mango has always been the queen of all smoothies, and the one from Yo Factory has an army of ninja veggies you won't know are there, plus is free of evil cream or sugar.
