Reply to their reply:…read more Excuse me but my bathroom wasn't dirty and they was not cat poop everywhere. There was some old cat puke stains in the carpet that I was going to be getting steamed cleaned and I don't know what you mean by he moved my car and cleaned up snow ? So should I pay him to do that because HE offered to do it since he saw I'm disabled? Glad to see you're so busy that you can respond to reviews..lol You couldn't clean a smaller apartment than mine at the time. I don't live there anymore. I'm in a much bigger place now in a much nicer town. God only knows what you would charge now probably $1,000.. Good luck to you! Got an estimate for simple cleaning job of small bathroom with tub, tiny kitchenette and vacuuming of a 12' x14' carpet and a 14' x 14' carpet. No oven, no dusting from waist up in any room. Carpet is indoor/outdoor in both rooms. Easy 1 hour job. Junior quoted a price of $150.00!! I almost fell over! I've been a professional house cleaner I used to work for Merry Maids a couple of decades ago I know prices went up on things since then but I also know there's no heavy cleaning in my apartment there's no stove refrigerator to clean no dusting from the waist up no dusting little things No bed making, no laundry, no dishes.. just vacuum two rooms' low pile carpet, vacuum the bathroom and kitchenette, mop kit and bath floors, clean the tub disinfect the toilet all that comes to $150? Way overpriced if you ask me and its an easy 1 hour job. I specifically told them not to clean the oven don't clean the refrigerator maybe I clean the refrigerator once cuz I pretty much wipe it down myself and I don't use the oven. I'm sure they probably clean well but not $150 for the tiny 2 room studio I am in.

It was $70/hour for 2 maids. The place looked amazing afterwards - it was literally shining! I hadn't seen our stove look that clean since we moved in! Wonderful! And you can use Paypal to pay online. I had also never used a cleaning service before, but all of my e-mail and phone correspondence with Victoria was great - she was responsive and clear, which made everything that much easier.

I don't want to say Merry Maids was the worst cleaning experience but this company is not what they…read moreadvertise. For starters, my first cleaning was a deep clean of my whole house. The ladies did a wonderful job deep cleaning and were here for hours. However, one of the women began to feel unwell to the point that I was very concerned for her well being and had to call rescue. She was taken to the hospital and came back later for her car. Thankfully she was okay. Apparently she drank too many energy drinks. The situation was very awkward though. I had never met this woman and I couldn't answer any questions the EMT's were asking (luckily she was coherent). It's also very embaressing to have an ambulance/fire truck at t your home. The other cleaner didn't speak much English so she had to be picked up by another staff. I had to contact their office. It took away from my remote work and I had three kids at home with me who had to witness this. On top of the 911 situation, the job was not complete. I wanted the basement cleaned and it didn't happen. I paid hourly so I let it go and I was just glad the woman was okay. I even called to check on her the following day. The office staff was apologetic, but they didn't offer any compensation for the disruption. nor did they ask if the cleaning had been complete. I felt bad reporting it had not been complete so again, I let it go and continued to have them clean my home monthly. The monthly cleanings are different from the deep clean, which is fine. At first, the cleanings were decent but each month they began to slide. Some of the staff were very unfriendly. The left beds unmade and I would see dust in obvious areas. It literally became bare minimum. I decided to give them one more month to think things over However, in my final month, prior to me cancelling my entire family came down with a stomach bug. I had to cancel the day before, which gave around 24 hours. They do have a 48 hour cancelation policy, which I understand. But you can't control sickness. I was told I would be charged a $75 cancelation fee. I offered a doctors note, in which the office staff chuckled and stated she would let me know. She never did let me know and 3 weeks later I was charged the $75 cancelation fee. At this point, I decided to cancel the service for good. I canceled with notice via email and received both an email and text asking why I was canceling. I responded with all of my reasons and asked that someone reach back out to me to further discuss. NO Response back. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. My only reason for even hiring a company to clean was due to my father being very ill and having to care for him. This experience only added to my sadness and frustration. Unfortunately, my father passed away so I now I am doing my own cleaning. Needless to say, I do a much better job than they did. Their monthly cleanings took 2 hours, where as my weekly cleanings take 7 to 8 hours. I just wanted to give warning to anyone who plans to use this company. You're better off going with a small cleaning business.
