Yoel's left me high and dry!! And guess what? The reputable Yoel is gone. The new owner, a friendly , all smiles guy named Paul, came right out to give me an estimate. He agreed to do the job and the price was fair. Then he didn't show up the day the work was to be done. I called him 3 times that day because I had scheduled construction work that couldn't begin until the hauling was done. If you want to gamble on getting screwed give Yoel's a try. I just hired Yoel's Hauling and was EXTREMELY happy with the service. I was quoted $ 390.00 by one hauler for a simple apartment haul job. Paul at Yoel's quoted me $ 100.00. I had a couple extra items and he only charged me $ 10.00 more. He also came the same night I called him. Quick, efficient, cheap and he recylcles alomost everything. After calling several "discount" "cheap" haulers on Craigslist (I've never dealt with haulers before .. first time for me), I decided to call the guy whose truck I have been seeing around the neighborhood for years. Not only did he give me a fair price for the work we needed, he came in well under all the supposed "discount" "cheap" haulers I called on Craigslist. He and his guys came and machette whacked a gigantic Bouganvilia bush covering our driveway -- and hauled it away -- in about 30 minutes. I was stunned. read more

So happy I called!! We were cleaning/reorganizing our SF office and created a large pile of stuff that needed to go away. I saw the truck driving by, called got a quote (very reasonable) and reserved right away. They were punctual, friendly and very professional. I run a gardening company and once a year I need a huge pile of debris removed from a yearly clean-up job at the end of the day. I have used Yoel's service for 4 years. The first two years it was great. He is really friendly, showed up right when he said he would and loaded up the pile in 30 minutes. 300 bucks. Very fair deal. The third year he showed up short one guy and asked me to help load the truck. I did. But I had to pay the same price even though I was doing 1/3 of the work for him. Not so cool. The whole reason I hire a hauling company is so I don't have to haul. The fourth and final year, he called at the last minute and complained about the time I needed him to arrive and wanted to come earlier in the day, but since the trees would not be finished till 3 I had to stick to my 3pm time. He showed up with only one guy instead of two and instructed my assistants to get to work loading while he talked on the phone. I was dumbfounded. I could not stand around and watch the poor guy trying to lift that stuff up on the truck alone so I had them go ahead and help. When he finally got off the phone I pointed out that I should not have to pay full price since two of my employees were doing his work. He said it was a big job and he needed help and did not seem to see my point. Then he gave me the bill and it was 50 bucks more than we had agreed on. I gave him 200 and won't be using his service again. He is a friendly guy but he is not consistent in his pricing or in his service. read more

I requested Paul come out to remove items when I moved. He was absolutely fantastic. I swear he took a truckload of stuff and only charged me $45 since much of what I had could be donated or recycled. I would use him again in a second and have already recommended him to two friends. read more

I called Yoel's hauling yesterday at 12:30pm to help haul away empty moving boxes and junk from moving houses, not only did they agree to a same day service, they showed up 15 mins earlier than estimated arrival time. Edwin and the other guy were very professional and easy to work with. Yoel was recommended by my contractor Elisha Mayost for a yard clean up. We spoke on a tuesday and on thursday he showed up with his truck and crew and whipped my yard into shape in 3 hours! We called them in the afternoon and their crew showed up the next day to remove all junk in our house. They are very nice and professional. This review is overdue.I hired Yoel's Hauling last May 2013 to demolish my bathroom and haul everything away. He and his worker did a great job and left the place clean. Excellent Service!!! Called to have recently demolished Cement Sidewalk Rubble Removed/Hauled, unfortunately weather was too rainy, they kept in contact & the first day weather cleared they called to confirm they'd be at my place in an hour of phone call, showed up 30 minutes later, upon arrival & surveying the job, they gave a very very fair estimate and was finished w/project w/in 30 minutes of starting... Moving to Manhattan, I researched junk removal companies to get rid of all my ikea bedroom furniture. Yoel's reviews were so positive I called him two weeks before hand with a list of everything and asked for a price. He gave me a very low price, said the date and time would be great but to call a couple days before to confirm. Called a couple days before to confirm, listed everything again, confirmed price, date and time and all was well. Then on the day of pick up, he called and said he could only do the job if he could pick everything up in 40 mins. I work an hour from my home and could not get home even if I left work immediately. Then he said he wouldn't even be able to pick up the entire list of things anyways because he "forgot" the items listed and changed the price and time. His excuse was he has a bigger job that paid more so I was de-prioritized. He didn't even care. He told me to just call someone else if I wasn't flexible. And it's not Yoel - it's Edwin who runs it now. read more

Paul, the owner, showed up with his crew on the date agreed to and on time. They worked constantly and did a better job than I could ever have hoped for. These guys are very good. They call back, text before they are arriving, super nice and helpful. They'll haul, rake, carry -- whatever you need and take it away in their truck. They also dump at a place that separates everything so leaves and yard stuff will end up in compost etc. I have used them many times. Current owner is very reliable and service oriented. We recently bought a restaurant on Market Street and it came with a whole boat load of crap that accumulated over the years. Yoel's has come through for us whenever we needed to get stuff out of there in a hurry. They'll pretty much figure out how to get whatever you have out of there, in a hurry. Great!!! I called and they came out right away, took away everything for a great price, and then cleaned up the place afterward! The job involved tearing out and disposing of all the wall-to-wall carpeting in a condo to prepare for a renovation, and they did it very quickly and neatly for a very reasonable price!
