Loved my experience here!!! I'd definitely recommend it to anybody. This was my first time doing Hot Yoga and I was terrified but the instructors were very understanding and patient. I came with some friends--one who was a Hot Yoga expert. You get in and the room is over 100 degrees!!! Bring your own yoga mat and yoga towel otherwise you'll have to pay to borrow any of the items. The instructor was slow and patient and you can go at your own pace. After hearing rave reviews for Floo-id Yoga from a handful of friends for several years, I finally made my way to a class to see first hand what this place was all about... I received a warm welcome when I entered the studio, which as others have commented, is located in the strip mall off of Mayo and Scottsdale Rd, a couple of doors down from Road Runner Sports and next to PetSmart. I took a 4pm hot flow class taught by Chris Schwan, along with my brother and Erica G (who are both Floo-id regulars). The room was heated and the class was challenging, so I definitely got my sweat on. I like that the class length is only an hour... it went by fast! I believe that most if not all of the classes at Floo-id are 60 minutes. The class I took flowed perfectly, and I definitely stayed present in the moment, got my zen on, and felt awesome afterwards. This studio is a bit of a drive from where I live and work, but I wouldn't hesitate to return in the future if I find myself in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Chris's class and this studio -- especially if you live or work nearby! It appears they offer classes for all levels including kids and pre-natal. They also offer a special offer for new students: 2 weeks for $25 is advertised on their website. That is well worth it! As an additional note, I see they offer a 30 day challenge and some community focused classes and seminars, so check out their website for details or better yet, stop by. This is actually the first place I ever took a yoga class. It will always be one of my favorites, even though I hop around a lot. For my first time, the teacher went over a few pointers and assured me that if all I accomplished was to just stay in the hot room to get used to it, that was okay. (You can always lay down on your mat facing the back wall if you get too hot) The owner Beth, is pretty awesome. She is often at the studio, greeting yogis and yoginis as they walk in. She even offers a work trade program. The studio offers hot yoga, hot flow, restorative, yin, prenatal, postnatal,/mommy n me and yingong. It's a single studio, but it's newer and nice, wood floors, and doesn't smell! :) I love the music played too. I have gone to hot and flow yoga. There are showers in the locker room so you can cleanse yourself of the toxins you just sweated out! There is also a small boutique to buy yogi clothes and mats, and of course they have sales! The location is great, right off Scottsdale & the 101. (Mayo Blvd) It's next to Road Runner Sports. It's hard for me to go workout anywhere if I can't get a protein shake or snack afterwards, and besides being a 30 second walk from Whole Foods, there's also a ton of restaurants across the street. My only tiny complaint is that whether I'm on my iPod or computer, I have a hard time viewing the schedule. I have used IE and Mozilla, and I just can't seem to scroll down. I would drop in more often if I knew which class was at a time that works for me. read more

I have been going to Floo-Id for years. I love Tiana's class. I would recommend the hot flow Sunday's at 11 to a beginner or someone who is more seasoned. The option to modify is always given. What an Amazing Location and the Staff is beyond friendly and knows how to run the best classes. I am not a Rookie to Yoga yet a few years ago I had an event and asked Floo-id to do a private class. I'm a regular practitioner of hot yoga, and while I was in Scottsdale visiting family over the holidays, I thought I would check out floo-id YOGA to get a few practices in during my 10 day stay. They offer a $50 out of town deal, which allows visitors unlimited classes for a week. For anyone intending to take at least two classes, this deal is worth taking advantage of. During my week, I took four classes - three with Kevin and one with Mark. All 60-minute hot yoga aka Bikram style classes, but the studio does offer a variety of class formats. I thoroughly enjoyed classes with both Kevin and Mark, and found that the 60 minutes flew by with each of them. Although their teaching styles differed a bit, I found both of them to be welcoming, encouraging and attentive leaders. Both of them, as well as all of the staff at flood-id, made an effort to get to know me and make me feel welome - as a visitor, this is appreciated. And for any newcomers, consider this studio a place to try yoga in an unpretentious space that's free of judgement. Although the space is unpretentious in attitude, the studio and facilities themselves are top notch. They have a water filtration station, cubbies and lockers for personal items and spotless locker rooms and restrooms for men and women. And the studio itself is pristine, which we all know is a MUST for a hot yoga studio. I am so happy to have found floo-id; I absolutely plan to return to this studio whenever I return to Arizona! read more

Very clean, very friendly. A nice studio all around. The instructors were great. I really liked the Barre class, however the room is heated to the extreme, I didn't ask the exact temperature but it had to be around 120. When it comes to stretching, you just don't need it that hot, all it does is dehydrate you. The slight cardio involved in the Barre class movements combined with the overwhelming heat did make it feel... Unsafe. It should never be so hot that breathing is an issue. If they lowered the temperature, in my humble opinion, the classes would be even more fabulous. read more

I have been going to floo-id yoga since 2019. After taking a break, I returned to the studio in 2021 and attended a hot Pilates class for the first time and had a blast. I absolutely love it! I stepped into Floo-id Yoga after scouring the Internet for a spa-like yoga studio that didn't judge my lack of fitness ability. I'm on the way to a healthy lifestyle and wanted a place I could feel comfortable and encouraged despite my absolute lack of yoga experience and I found it at Floo-id Yoga. The studio itself: Floo-id Yoga feels like a spa when you walk in -- beautifully decorated with a calm and relaxing vibe. The bathrooms are equally spa-like with great showers, giant sinks with awesome mint-lavender soap. There are two studios (1 small one and 1 large main one that holds 30-40 comfortably) with bamboo floors. There are cubbies for your stuff, lots of benches, and a fridge stocked with Smart Water and coconut water. The atmosphere and class structure: Flood-id Yoga is a place for absolute beginners to those who have several years of practice. They offer a wide variety of classes throughout the day (from hot flow, to hot yoga, to yin yoga, and more) to accomodate most schedules and skill sets and fitness levels. There are about 5-7 teachers and I've taken classes with Beth, Jen, Donna, and Angela. There are all great. What I love most about Floo-id is there lack of pressure. They truly want you to simply practice and listen to your body -- go where you want to go. During class they always explain how to modify poses for more advanced yogis or what to work on if you are just starting out. As for hot yoga, there is no pressure to "perform" in the class. You can lay down, sit down, and just do what you can do to get through the hot 60 minutes. Some classes I do amazing and get through the entire 60 minutes no problem and other times, like yesterday, I literally laid on my mat for 30 minutes. All of the teachers are so kind, encouraging, and helpful. Beth is the owner and she teaches classes often is constantly at the studio to greet you and make you feel welcome. Jen is super sweet and calming and Donna puts you at ease with her blend of humor and encouragement. Logistics: You can sign up to have an account online where you can view and register for classes as well as see your entire account history. Love the technology. Parking is easy (a few shops down from Whole Foods on Scottsdale Rd and Mayo near the 101). My advice is just to get to class about 20 minutes early to ensure you get the spot you want. Some classes are fill up more than others. Pricing: I signed up for the unlimited monthly membership for $99/month when it was on sale during their 2-year anniversary sale. I think it's normally $139. It's totally worth it. I try to go everyday and usually end up going 5-6 times a week. However, they have a range of options to fit your budget and commitment level. This review is specifically for the Saturday prenatal yoga classes with Erin. They are fabulous. I looked forward to every single class. She starts it off by giving us something to think about in our pregnancy, sometimes hands some information out, and we quickly go around the room discussing where we are in our pregnancy and what we think about the topic Erin brings up. This is my first child and I've done lots of research, but I love hearing everyone's thoughts and experiences, especially since there are women in all stages of their pregnancy. When I began here, I was only in my 1st trimester and got to hear some incredible stories from women in the end of their 3rd. The yoga poses Erin leads us through are invigorating and really help stretch and focus my balance during this crazy belly growing time. When someone mentions that their hips are hurting, she'll be sure to incorporate some hip opening stretches. I really appreciate how much she listens. Everyone else seems to really enjoy the class as much as I do because the tiny room always seems to be packed, so be sure to reserve your spot and get there early! read more

I bought a Groupon for this yoga studio. At $20 for 10 classes it was a steal! At the first class, I was a little unprepared for how much sweat was involved, as I had never done hot yoga before. I was slipping all over my mat because I didn't bring a towel to put over it. But you live & learn! I have been back 2 times and it definitely gets easier with the right gear and practice! I love the instructors here, they are so calm and they really know their stuff. I also love the facilities. The room where you practice has a wood floor and large overhead fans. The bathrooms are spacious and clean, and they also have showers for you to rinse off in. They have a little boutique in front selling yoga gear and bottled water/coconut water. I always leave feeling refreshed, rejuvinated and re-energized. read more

This is a great place. I'm not all that into yoga but a summer off and a $15 groupon lured me in. I've taken hot yoga classes with several of the teachers now and can't complain. The instructors really make sure that each student is executing the poses correctly and they give options for those of us who aren't so bendy. The studio has a fantastic sound system and nice bamboo floors so it's easy to get into yoga mode and forget about your cares for the 60 to 90 minutes that you're in class. They have a great online system for signing up for classes online so you never have to worry that it'll be too full when you show up. This is a great hidden gem tucked away in the Whole Foods shopping strip. read more
