I googled &…read morefound Mind & Body Fitness Loft at Hood Street Art Center so I was ecstatic & submitted an email on terridanovic.com letting them know that I was interested in the class. Terri who I guess is the owner of Mind & Body Fitness lets me know that the class is at 11 am on Friday. I show up to take spinning & she was a no show. I got to the loft at 5 minutes to 11, checked the door it's locked, walk back to my car, waited until 11:01am, checked door again, turning the door knob, looked through the window & see no one. Her business # is above her door where it says entrance only, then to the right her # is on her board again where she is advertising her classes. I call the # twice & no answer, so I emailed her & no respond. I then drive back to the front of the building & no on was there either. I get it if Terri did not have enough people taking the class & maybe it was cancelled so send out a cancellation email or something. My time is money & I am a business owner myself DO NOT WASTE MY TIME, she could have sent out an email or posted somewhere to say class would be cancelled. When we emailed back & forth she said Friday at 11am, my response was okay, thank you. I showed up & she was a NO SHOW. Bad business & she literally pissed me off, I am an extremely understanding person & if we communicated earlier in the week and you say to me class is Friday at 11:00 I am going to SHOW UP! (Unless she says otherwise) Communicate with your clients or potential clients. I shall take my money to others that will RESPECT my time, I even asked a lady I saw outside with her kids coming from ballet and she said it happened to her too and I just shook my head because once is enough. Your running business for damn sake. Terrible, absolutely terrible! P.S. Terri and I emailed each other on February 14th, 2018 so she knew I was definitely interested in Friday's spinning class.

They offer lots of classes at scheduled intervals that you can view on the app. I believe you can reserve your space on the app as well. While attending the class, you start tracking your workout with the app. I'm not sure if they have their own tracker. There are short classes that you can stack, i.e., cycling, rowing and elliptical that are each 15 minutes each. Each sauna took typically holds 3 machines and you can control the temperature from 110 up to 130 degrees. Other classes like iso, barre and yoga are about 35-40 minutes. The front desk is staffed generally until 7 or 8 pm. There is a code that can unlock it after hours for entrance, as it's available 24/7. Hotworx runs challenges often and winners can receive free or discounted monthly membership fees. There's also a strength training area and a shower. There's merch in the front, including a stream suit to help you sweat more. I like the format of the place. My main cons are that the classes are pre-recorded and they don't change as frequently as I would prefer. Overall a solid place to work out that's self-paced.

The option to have a private sauna to workout and drown in sweat in peace is great. They say each sauna is big enough to have up to three people (you and your friends no strangers) but honestly me and my friend have taken classes together and I think that's about it. You need space to stretch out and perform the movements freely. Even in the cycle and row room I think two people tops is best. This location is the most convenient for me and it's in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking available. It's accessible 24 hours and you get a private code to use to get access. It's only staffed until about 8pm most days but I've gone after staffing hours and it hasn't been any issue.

Upon my arrival, I was not acknowledged by the employee at the reception desk. Following a staff change, the situation did not improve. The second employee informed me that she was the only staff member present, was unable to conduct a tour, and that no one else was available to do so. She attempted to contact the General Manager, but he did not respond. I was then asked to wait until a manager arrived, which was not going to happen as i do have a job. I later received a call from the General Manager, during which I shared my feedback regarding the experience. A new tour was subsequently scheduled for the following day.

I have been a consistent member at this location since recovering from a brain aneurysm that left me with limited function on my left side. This facility's proximity to my home has been essential to my rehabilitation and continued health. Until today, my experiences with staff have been overwhelmingly positive, professional, and welcoming. During my children's Christmas break, I decided to use the available 7-day VIP passes so my children could try the facility before I committed to purchasing memberships for them. When we initially checked in, the general manager informed me that my children needed identification. I immediately returned home, retrieved their IDs, and came back without issue. Prior to returning, I also purchased a full membership for my oldest daughter. Upon returning, I attempted to register my other two children for the VIP passes. One of my daughters is currently in the process of changing phones and does not yet have a phone number. She politely asked if she could temporarily use my number. Before I could respond, the general manager abruptly and rudely said no and stated that "as a mother" I needed to get my child a phone number. He then told me I should not be using VIP passes at all and instead should purchase full memberships for my children. The interaction escalated further when I requested my daughter's ID back so I could seek assistance from another staff member. He refused initially and stated that all employees worked for him and would do what he told them to do. He then accused me of "crying" and said my issue was that I was not "having my way." This interaction occurred in front of my children, which made the situation even more distressing. Eventually, another staff member assisted me without any issue, and my children and I were able to complete our workout. One of your employees later apologized to me for the general manager's behavior, which I appreciated. I have never been spoken to in such a belittling, disrespectful, and unprofessional manner--especially by someone in a leadership role. Being told how to parent, spoken down to, and treated with hostility is completely unacceptable. This behavior is especially concerning given my medical history and the importance of this facility to my recovery and well-being. I am now forced to reconsider continuing our memberships beyond January. No member--especially a paying one--should ever be treated in this way. I hope this matter is taken seriously and addressed appropriately. I would appreciate acknowledgment of this complaint and information regarding any steps taken to ensure this does not happen to another member. Thank you for your time and attention.
