I've been to three different yoga six locations ( redondo, Culver City , and this one). I am not a fan. Their classes are way too easy. Their power classes and y6hot classes feel like introductory to yoga classes. Their flows feel more like a slow flow class. Hope to see some changes because I really like yogasix. read more

I really wanted to like this studio, but the front desk lady could definitely do better. She always seems miserable and gives off bad vibes as soon as you walk in. She never acknowledges you or says hi. I tried to brush it off because I enjoy Trish's classes, but this past Tuesday, I had an issue with my account. They double-charged my credit card, which wasn't a huge deal. When I approached this front desk lady about it, she seemed irritated, sighed loudly, and clearly didn't want to help resolve the issue. Like she is making me a favor on resolving her mistake. This is the first time I've experienced such behavior at a yoga studio, and now I'm looking for a new one. This is a great place to break a sweat, detox and get your body stretching. Greeted with smiles, workout was sweaty with a little challenge. Fresh cold towels at the end with some essential oils. Love it here! read more

I love this studio! It really does feel like my second home. I've been a member for almost a year and happily celebrated my 250th class today! This place is helpful when they want to lock you in a monthly payment, but as soon as you want to cancel they ignore you pursposely to keep you in the payment cycle . I should've listened to the other reviews and never joined . Save yourself the headache. Plus their towels and equipment reak of mildew. Worst experience read more

Worst yoga experience ever! They are so much into the expiration dates, registration fees and cancelation fees that are completely missing the meaning of uoga. I went in there to get some info and they told me about their intro offer and I liked it and purchased three classes . The person selling them to me never mentioned that I should use them a week from the date of the purchase not when the first class is taken. I could have waited to make the purchase the first day that I was ready to take the class. I couldn't get into the classes I wanted so I decided to start a week after the purchase. They totally ate my money and aren't allowing me to take classes that I have paid for. I'm reporting them to my credit card company as well as the better business bureau . They have a ring of none- yoga pirate business designed to suck your money and get away with not giving you the service. . Go somewhere else. They are crooks read more

Pros: * I signed up for a free 3 class trial which is super helpful to determine if I like everything before committing to a monthly pass. * Location is convenient if you live in the Porter Ranch / Chatsworth / Northridge area. * Tons of parking for the am classes because most of the surrounding businesses are still closed. Not so much by noon. * Extremely clean - it's new so I didn't expect anything less. * check-in is easy. You just find your name on the iPad and check yourself in. * my first class was "Power" I thought we would be using weights but that's a different class. * The instructor was extremely friendly, professional & good. She personally introduced herself to each and every person as they were coming in. * the room is hot. Which I LOVE! I was worried that it wouldn't be hot enough and I wouldn't get a good sweat but I was sweating before class started and was DRENCHED by the middle of class. If you are sensitive to heat or get light headed you won't like the heated room. However I loved it. Cons: The class was SUPER crowded. There was almost no room to really stretch out and properly perform poses. We were packed tight. I think smaller classes would be better so you can have space & really get a good stretch and workout. Music was really loud. So loud you couldn't hear the instructors directions. Seemed like the sound was fluctuating from song to song. But overall I had a good workout, an amazing sweat and I will be trying out 2 additional classes on my 3 class pass to see what I like best. read more

This place has changed so much. I avoid the front desk now . There's a guy standing next to the desk (I think the owner) who told me I would get 'cold shock' if I used a cooling towel turning my Hot (100 degrees) class. He said it's a YogaSix policy and all studios don't allow cold towels during class and made me feel pretty uncomfortable for asking for a towel, even tho I've been using them since I first started. It helped me a lot. It was a very awkward interaction. I'm starting to look for another studio unfortunately. Customer service is important. read more

The facility is spotless, instructors are amazing BUT if you want a truly HOT class this is not for you. I have been with Y6 for 2 years and they are constantly saying theyre working on getting the room hot. The average temp of a HOT class starts around 84 degrees and maxs around 94 degrees. The days when it actually gets over 100 degrees are few a far between. Truly thankful for how wonderful the instructors are because theyre the ones keeping me coming back read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I joined the studio as a founding member, and like so many other reviews have stated it was incredibly difficult to book classes. I froze my membership and have now decided to cancel my membership since the studio was not a good fit for me. The issue with this studio is the owner and management. I signed up with the owner who was very nice since of course, he wanted my membership. However, canceling the membership was a complete nightmare!!!Emails requesting to cancel the membership were ignored several times. When I finally got a response they stated that although they require a 30 day notice which was given, their system requires me to pay one last month. It is clearly noted on the website that 30 days is what is required. I emailed the owner since he was so nice when I signed up, but guess what no response. I ended up having to dispute their charges with my credit card. So do yourself a favor and run... there are plenty of better studios in the area. Isn't a yoga community supposed to be one of support and treating people well? read more

I started coming to yogasix about a year ago and I love the instructors & the staff. Since I started going, I have seen transformation in my body & my mind. Thankyou Lariza & Cathy (instructors) for bring the change in me. I even convinced my husband to join. A very convenient location & the studio is clean. All equipment is provided by the studio eg. blocks, straps, weights, bands, balls and bolsters, just bring your mat. The studio & the equipment is cleaned after each class, which is an added plus and I especially like a cold eucalyptus refreshing towel after each class. read more

Yoga room had no fan or air conditioning when the weather was over 90 outside. The class was also lackluster.

I had a vigorous yoga practice for years before Covid. I had to give it up for two years as Zoom yoga is not the same. I joined YogaSix as soon as it opened. I love this place. They have a broad schedule of classes and excellent instructors. The community is a very freindly bunch who make all newcomers feel welcome. I love what yoga does for my health and fitness. I highly recommend YogaSix. read more

I signed up as a founding member many months ago. Construction delayed their opening many many months and so I basically forgot about this place. I've been traveling and now notice a monthly fee on my card. I have yet to step inside and don't recall being told I'd be charged immediately without even going inside. I'm not pleased to say the least and hence the review. read more

This is not the place for you if you're a beginner, they really don't care about helping you. They just try to pack the people in and get the money for the memberships. There are hardly any beginner classes and the times are all difficult for you if you have a job and work. No specialized attention it seems as the instructors really don't like to be annoyed or asked for help. Sadly it's just like any other chain exercise place no personal service no personal care it's all like I said about the dollar sign. Find a better place quick this place. Please give a small business or another yoga studio, your business, but not this one. There mats and products are overpriced as the rent is high. read more

The front desk staff is not welcoming. I gave it a couple months to get a feel, the vibes are off. I would walk in and hardly ever get a "hello" I was hoping for a yoga community but it felt so stiff and uninviting compared to other yoga studios I have been a part of over the years. I became a member because of convenience of schedule and close to home. I did really like 2 instructors but they were outweighed by cons. I had to move on and find some place more fitting to feel a sense of community. read more

I love the sculpt and flow class. My only complaint is there are way too many ppl in there so it's hard to do your exercises. This is a popular class so I would love to see them open up more classes on sculpt and flow. read more

I have a background of a more aggressive sports and lifting weights, for the last 5 years doing crossfit, so it's not my first rodeo and saw few gyms and boxes... I came to try yoga for the first time in my life. Clearly told that to the guy, who registered me for a try class. Maybe i expected too much or maybe i didnt know the customs, but i expected that someone will pay at least little attention to me. I like the vibes here and I do plan on coming back. However, as a busy mom working in a hospital it's really hard for me to commit between work, kid's homework, after school activities/sports etc. I understand you need to sell memberships. I get it. But I prefer to book a class or 2 whenever I can. The constant phone calls, texts and voicemails are not helping. I book on my own time. read more

This is a horrible studio. It doesn't feel comfortable going here or taking classes. Super small classroom and doesn't feel clean. It smells bad. When you want to cancel, they just wouldn't let you. Be aware and think twice before you sign up. read more

I love this Yoga Studio. All Instructors are great, I really look forward to my yoga class.

Apart from the often packed classes, I love this studio. The teachers are attentive and meet the students where they are. Each of the instructors I've encountered bring an authentic generosity to the class experience. I am challenged where I need to be challenged and supported always. Instructors here help correct postures, sometimes making even small tweaks to move deeper into a pose. I have especially enjoyed Anissa and Michelle's classes recently. Today I walked into Michelle's Power Yoga class feeling pretty fragile and considering canceling for the day, but I stayed and left feeling pretty powerful and energized. I love the challenge and the peace the instructors bring to the mat. read more

i would like to start by sharing how much i love this studio! Background: i found this place on a chance encounter as i was looking for some good eatery; and noticed the yoga sign. i approached the young lady at the desk who happened to be the manager. She explained that they were about to open and shared with me the Founder's members pricing. Her professional and courteous attitude, in conjunction with the awesome pricing had me on board! As a working man, i appreciate great deals but it is the positive vibes that gets my attention (more will be explained on positivity). i have been attending 8 to 9 classes a week ever since opening day. Classes and Environmental Vibes: The staff at this studio are great! From the reception personnel to the Yoga Leaders, and i cannot recall a day where i felt disrespected or "poopy" and if i did, it was from either work or other personal related matters...which is why i truly enjoyed rushing to class after work. Practicing my favorite hobby, under the tutelage of such highly trained professionals really helped me to finish the day strong and right; also helped me to attain peace after some chaotic days. The Yoga Leaders truly care about their attendees well-being and starts the class be checking in with everybody, including but not limited to: how is everyone feeling, are there any injuries that they should be aware of, is there anything specific and particular that we would like to work on. However, the most important thing that i truly appreciate and respect from my yoga leaders is this: their emphasis on arriving to practice as who you are and that they encourage you to be yourself. No need for comparison and whatnot, be chill and do what you can to push yourself, or take it easy as we all can have one of those days where we just aren't feeling it. Everyday is an Opportunity for Mercy and Grace: It is important to remember that we are all human beings and that we cannot be perfect 100 percent of the time. i know the aforementioned quite well as a former service provider and learned that showing kindness and leniency is one of the best ways to combat negativity and stress. This world can be beautiful but it can also be very hard and dynamic. No-one knows what a person is going through before and during class time. Maybe for the person who rushes to class after whatever they had to do prior, just really needs a place to focus on themselves. And sometimes, people can come late to class, not on purpose but it is what is. This is where i have gained much more appreciation to this studio. Old school yoga studios do not allow people to come late into class. However, what sets this studio apart from others is that the staff here acknowledges the attendees as human beings and not just as clients who pay for services. The staff at this studio recognizes the everyday challenges of its members and have shown mercy and grace, time and time again by allowing late arrivals to still participate in class. i have seen not only leaders giving up their spot for late arrivals but also reassures late arrivals that it is ok and goes out of their way for them to feel welcomed (who does this still? very few i tell you). i know this because i happen to arrive late for class sometimes. i also have not heard a complaint from fellow community members about late arrivals so i can only assume that the right type of folks are part of this studio. Community: i feel very blessed to have been able to make meaningful friendships at the studio and hope to sustain them. i don't think i smile as much as i do when i was in class, chatting it up with like minded people. People at this studio are super courteous, like really really nice. For example, i have seen people share their spray bottles with one another for their yoga mats; i have seen 6 foot plus body builders go out of their way to give other members more room to stretch; i have seen people give up their own yoga blocks for people who arrived a little later after class started, just so they can have the tools to do their practice; and many more instances of kindness. Concluding Thoughts: i cannot speak for others and can only share my own experiences. i finish this review by sharing how thankful i am to God that He allowed me the chance encounter to find this awesome place. i was blessed to have met some amazing folks here and hope the same goodness comes to those who practice at this studio.
