I love Whispering Hills! The campground is beautiful, natural and spacious. We were given our choice of 3 different camp spots and even allowed to have our tent set up by our camper. The cabins are clean and air-conditioned. Lots of privacy and quiet times. The game room is affordable and there are games available for kids of all ages. There's a bounce pad for younger kids and for "big kids," too. We love going during the off-season to get the most out of our visit. Frisbee golf, putt putt and swimming when there's few people around is the best! The rolling hills are so beautiful and the lake is, too. Very few people know about Whispering Hills and while I'd like to keep it that way, it's be unfair! read more

We only stopped by to pick up the kids from grandma and stayed for the day. This seems like a lovely place to stay. All the buildings are nice and new and the cabins seem spot on. I highly recommend a stay! read more

We went camping with my in-laws and I reserved a spot online while my sister-in-law reserved her spot, at a diagonal from us, over the phone. My husband, children, and I got in early and set up. Later that afternoon my in-laws showed up to check in to their spot across from us only to find out that they were moved. They received no call to let them know or anything to say they had been moved. Here a few groups of friends wanted to be near each other so Jellystone bumped my in-laws and have their spot away even though those reservations were made after ours. The people at check in told my in-laws that they could call the other people to see if they would move but they didn't. Why is it that they would have to call the other campers to see if they would move but not call my in-laws? Sorry but this was just one of many disappointments. Our children also had their ball stollen by another kid at the Gaga ball pit. We had to deal with the kids parents on that one. Also my husband went to reserve a pool time slot and was told by the lifeguard that nobody was signed up and he didn't need to since it was empty. He showed up and was told that the spots were already full so they couldn't swim. The weekend was good but those things put a bad spin on it all. read more

Whispering hills jellystone claims to care about having a SAFE family campground,  but they will not enforce their rules. They allowed speeding golf carts to escalate to the point that my wife got assaulted and the sheriff had to get involved. A child on our row nearly got struck by a speeding golf cart 3 times,  the speeding golf cart was reported several times by several campers to security and staff and nothing was done.  Eventually the golf cart was witnessed rolling onto its side by campers and even a staff member and still nothing was done.  When we first became seasonal we were told our camp site extended across the road and stopped at the corn field.   We were told that we could have a shed over there and store our wood over there. We have cut the grass and maintained that area and parked our vehicles there for the last two years.  (They do not maintain that area so if we don't it looks terrible,  I'm sure if we didn't maintain it they would let us know that we need to.) We recently almost had our vehicles hit by golf carts a couple different times over there and instead of making sure nobody drives through there they are now saying that it is a common area for all campers to use. (They change the rules in order to avoid confrontation with weekend campers) The owner does not have the guts to confront anyone if he has a problem with them.  They are heartless and only care about making more money,  two traits that don't go well if you really care about having a family friendly campground.  We have camped here for at least 3 years as weekenders and we were treated very well, but it is night and day difference between being a seasonal and being a weekend camper.  (They will also find reasons to scold seasonal campers) a staff member accused someone in our group of using vulgar language at them, even though there were several witnesses to verify otherwise, they scolded him for it.  They sent an email to all seasonal campers on Monday October 11th with nearly a $700.00 increase for the next year.  They say it is for improvements but we have been camping here on and off for at least 5 years and they have done very little to nothing to improve the place.  It's too bad better people aren't running this place because  it is has a lot of potential but they lack the intelligence to make it a nice place. read more

It's extremely sad when your entire family (28 people) have been coming for 11 years..... have been treated so poorly by management. For years we've loved coming but the last few years, management must have changed and went completely down hill. We are now banned FOR LIFE, for expressing our opinion. So.... when you have a complaint, or problem... they will cast you aside and it's business as usual. Do not recommend. Years of tradition are now gone. Our family, between 25 and 30 of us, has been going to this campground for 11 years, over 6,000 dollars every time. The last 6 years, there has been a new owner, and the park has steadily went downhill since. They make you pay the whole amount an entire year in advance now. This year,AFTER paying for my site last year keeping our entire family right beside each other...we were informed that they decided to bump our site to allow a worker to buy the trailer. WHAT..they can decide to do that without an opportunity to choose another site..I had paid for it in full..after a family member told her she HAD to make this right because of what they had done they finally gave us a discount. We made the best of the inconvenience. We went to reserve for the following year and the owner denied us and had the printed review in her hand. The review stated what they had done to us and that the campground has been going downhill every year.....no improvements at all. I asked the owner if she could deny what I said....and she could NOT!! So, that is how the owner works..if you make a negative review, she will ban you from returning instead of taking that review In consideration and see how she can improve the campground. The owner has no problem taking all your money but does not invest it in the campground at all. The staff..Kaitlyn, Matt are great people but the owner is a terrible business person, horrible with communication and is obviously over her head because she does not know how to run a business.. shame on her, and for the way she is running the campground. It was so much better before she became the owner. read more

Some of the smallest campsites and most expensive places we've ever stayed. People cutting through everyone else's campsites. It was also loud and vet busy. But we were too close to the pool. Im sure kids enjoy it, but not a place to come to relax. It was our first time here. We won't hurry back. read more

so much potential but falls short. pool hours are terrible to begin with 11-7 and then life guard "got sick" and there was no replacement we were lucky to get to swim 12-5 on a 95 degree day. no music by the pool. The kid events were unorganized and the staff was late if they came at all. dirty amphitheater, unfriendly staff and who I presume was the owner/boss was the worst of them all. read more

Not great. We stay at Jellystone campgrounds all the time and this was the worst. We chose this campground because it was a halfway point to meeting my parents for a week stay. Sites are very small. Fire pits all had trash and the old ash in them from previous campers. Mini golf course is in very poor shape. Activities were not great in comparison to other Jellystones we have stayed at. The highlight of the park was the pool. Nothing special, but probably the best part of the visit. Fishing pond is across street, not at close as you would think or on the site you have to cross a Main Street to get there. Only 1 washer, one was out of order. All the swings and benches in the park are broken. One of the worst parts of the park was the fact that the dumpsters were overflowing with trash and we could smell them from our campsite. Probably not the worst campground out there, but not somewhere we would want to visit again. Could be a nice campground if it was better taken care of. We drove 7 hours here and it was pretty disappointing. Website and other reviews were very misleading. read more

This will be our 3 rd time time visiting and every activity we show up for if your not in line 15 minutes early you aren't getting to participate. They always run out and ever have enough. Which for a park like this you would think they plan better. read more

Terrible Management The Whispering Hills management and owners are the worst. Do not trust a word that they say. We previously rented the cabins before becoming seasonal in the summer of 2016. We had a refund from a number of future cabin reservations that were cancelled after we moved our camper there. We were planning to put the balance towards our site for next year. But, in November 2016, we had a bill that we needed money for and requested that we receive a refund. We were told that was alright and they would process the refund. After numerous phone calls over 3 months, we have still not received the refund. I guess they do not follow through on their word. In late summer 2016, we heard that a seasonal site was possibly opening close to our existing seasonal site. We requested multiple times if we could switch to this site next year if it was opening and we were told we could. It is now the beginning of March 2017 and we were told that the site was rented to someone different. I guess they have no loyalty to their existing customers. The management and owners are dishonest and play games. read more

Wonderfully maintained campground with a friendly staff. Only downside is with two small children I would expect better playgrounds. Not only were they small for the amount of kids playing but very old and my husband and I thought unsafe. If this small change was made, we would definitely come back. We've stayed at many Yogi's and the amount of open grass for kids to run and play and the beautiful scenery make this a great choice. read more

Such a cute little campground. We stayed in a cabin, and it was nicely updated inside. It was a bit smaller than expected (living area with 2 seats at the bar, king bed, pull out couch, 1 bathroom and a loft). The loft was pretty high up, and it contained 2 very small beds (I wouldn't recommend sending kids up there to sleep). It had a grill and a nice little fire pit at the site. There seemed to be quite a bit for kids to do (putt putt, pool, huge jumping inflatables, big movie screen). It didnt seem like they patroled the jumping inflatables at all, and parents didnt seem to be watching their kids either. They played a kids movie while we were there, but it was an older one (would have been nice to feature something somewhat recent). We had pizza at the clubhouse, and it was okay (only took 12 minutes to cook, but it was basically just a frozen pizza). Overall, I would come back with my children for a weekend. read more
