What a great family campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is huge which is a plus when you have so many families all wanting to swim. Our lot was plenty big and was clean when we arrived. They give you a program of all the activists happening during your time of stay which was great. I loved that they had fun things for the kids to do. The park is paved so you don't have to worry about dust kicking up every time a car goes by. I also loved that it was within walking distance to some really great shops, Craig's Cruisers and even a few restaurants. If you're in the Silver Lake area you should consider staying here. I think it would be fun even if you don't have kids. read more

They've changed over the years. Hardly anything in the camp store as far as convenience groceries. Letting absurd amounts of vehicles with trailers park on sites. Why are you allowing people with regular trailers book camping sites to just park there?? Create a bigger over flow lot. We stayed on site 143 a full hook up site. It SUCKED. I have a voltage protector I plug into the park power and it shut off our power at least 15 times during our 3 day stay. This was due to low voltage! That's insanely dangerous for the wiring and appliances in an rv. Most people don't have this device so they won't know if they're getting low voltage which could literally fry the wiring and/or cause a fire. The row of sites we stayed on gets power from an industrial generator! That's insane considering it couldn't even keep up with the power demands hence why our power sucked. Jellystone, please update this row of sites and run some real power lines to the park boxes. The amount of times we lost power was ridiculous and you should be embarrassed. read more

The three girls working the desk at the game room might have given me the meanest look I have ever seen in my life for asking if the go carts were open when it was raining. Made me feel so unwelcome. Train your employees to welcome PAYING guests from out of town who just want to enjoy the area read more

We've stayed here in the past without problems. This year we had an emergency with our RV and had to cancel 48 hours before our reservation. I understand fine print but no customer service. So we're out our money on top of having to pay to get the RV fixed. read more

This campground is great for people with little kids. A swimming pool, kiddie pool, playground, various activities and next door to Craig's cruisers. The lots are pretty much all shaded as well. You are jammed in the campground like sardines, but the amenities make it tolerable. Full hook up here for your camper so that is also very nice. We will definitely be back. Jellystone is right next to silver lake in a nice town so you can spend a ton of time around town as well as Jellystone. The campground is huge with a swimming pool, a kiddy pool, and arcade, fishing, playgrounds, daily activities, a shop, a public lounge and more. They also have wagon rides as well as a laundromat and showers. read more

Unless you have kids under than age of 13, or you go to bed at 11 pm, I wouldn't recommend camping here. Sites are clean and well maintained as well as the rest of the park. But the park they work so hard to keep nice is nothing more than a place to sleep once 11 pm hits. The rangers drive/walk around telling people to be quiet, and if you are still too loud in their opinion, they just hover over you like babysitter. After 1 am you aren't allowed to have a fire or be outside. Even on your own your own campsite. All in all, it's a good place for young kids at the expense of everything and everyone else at the site. read more

We've been going here with our children and grandchildren for over 25 years. We have the same lots every year and invite friends and family (sometimes as many as 8 lots) to join us. Over the years we've developed traditions and places to visit each year and looked forward to a wonderful weekend of fun. Since we had the same lots each year, everyone knew where they could find us on Memorial Weekend. Last year the policy changed. What was an already expensive vacation for us became even more expensive because if we wanted our specific lots, we needed to pay an extra $40. I paid it, so we could keep our family tradition going. Now this year, they changed the rules again, making the reservations earlier in December and you had to book online. And since I did not have access to internet at that time, we missed out on getting our lots. I was extremely disappointed. They obviously do not care for the long-time customers who have brought in more faithful, considerate customers and revenue over the years. Sadly, we will going elsewhere. read more

Went for a long weekend with my fiancé and another couple. We stayed in the rustic camp site. It was a great time!! Bathrooms and showers were clean. Only problem is the walk especially In The middle of the night! This place is great for families with kids. I noticed a lot of activities geared towards families and entertainment for the little ones. Since we were a group of 20 something's it was a lil discouraging that quiet time was at 11. Meaning be very quiet. No radios regardless of volume. And there is a guy that drives around and enforces this. We obliged and continued to play our card game quietly. At one the guy came back around and told us we had to go to bed basically. That sucked big time! But overall nice place if you have kids and don't mind going to bed early on your vacation. read more

While the park itself is nice, I don't appreciate being told to go to bed when I'm watching my fire burn out. I was by myself and no radio on. Some lady on a golf cart with no lights on sneaks up on me shining a flashlight in my face telling me it's time for bed. It was 12:30 am. She also confronted my wife who walked to the restroom after midnight and told her to go back to the camper. I'll never stay here again. Silver lake has plenty of other campgrounds to choose from. read more

First time camping with my 3 kids and we decided on a Jellystone Park to make the big leap. I am glad we did! When we checked in we were given a schedule of the activities for the week (we went mid-week) and there was plenty of things to do that were included with our basic fee, and also a couple of bigger, extra things that were a few bucks. We opted to do the tie dye shirts with our kids because at $7each, it was a darn good deal and they each got a souvenier of their first camping trip out of it. The pool was a bit cold, but the kids had fun none the less. The restrooms and showers were being cleaned constantly, which is always appreciated. I could see though how the showers and restrooms could get filled up on the weekends because there aren't very many of them! The camp sites aren't very big once you factor in parking your vehicle there, but they were big enough to get our huge tent plus a couple of hammocks hung up. We went at the end of August so the grass that may have been there was pretty much long gone and there was just a lot of dirt on our site. Located right near all the action in Silver Lake with only a mile or so to the state park and a quick drive to the dunes, lighthouse and Lake Michigan. A great value for the money and we'll more than likely be back a few times! read more

I have a unique stance... Not only did I work for Lori & Craig (at Jellystone) back in the 90's, but I was able to stay there w/my family and experience it from the consumer's side. And... Went camping at Jellystone in July 2014. Never again! We were sitting out by the campfire enjoying a quiet evening when the guy on the golf cart told us we could not sit by our campfire any longer and we had to go into our camper, per their rules!! We were not being noisy or causing any problems we just enjoy sitting by the campfire. I have been camping for 25 years and I have never been told when I had to go to bed. I have always enjoyed sitting out side and enjoying the night air, if you enjoy the same, do not go to this campground!!! It is so ridiculous that they make you go into your tent/camper when they say it's time!! Go to the Silver Lake State Park, you can walk by the water any time day or night11 read more
