I enjoyed the water park amenities for the kids although I did not love that all the staff went to the bathroom at the same time and all the kids had to be removed from the water, for younger kids this is extremely disruptive. My room had a wide range of issues which did hinder my trip and made the high price for my cabin non justifiable. The main office was closed and called back the next day which was not ideal. The events were not always timely for instance the advertised pool party didn't start getting setup until 15 minutes after advertised and it was indeed not a party. Lastly the canteen was inexcusably inefficient for grabbing a meal by the pool. You had to wait in line for 45+ minutes and then were quoted an additional 1+ hour until you would get your food. In all this park has so much potential to be better. But if cabins are not up to par, guests should be contacted in advance or given a remedy. read more

Rented a cabin for 2 nights. Paid almost $700. Cabin was filthy dirty. Spider webs with eggs in all corners. Told them at checkout this was my first & last time. No offer for any compensation. We chose this campground expecting a family-friendly environment for Easter weekend, but unfortunately our experience was significantly impacted by repeated disturbances from a group of adults in nearby campsites. There was excessive screaming, loud music, and disruptive behavior that continued well past midnight, making it extremely difficult for families and young children to enjoy the holiday weekend. Even more concerning was the apparent lack of response to enforce quiet hours or address the ongoing noise issue. This does not reflect the family atmosphere many guests would reasonably expect during a holiday weekend. I strongly encourage management to take these complaints seriously and enforce campground rules consistently to ensure all guests can enjoy their stay. Families considering visiting during Easter weekend should be aware that this has been an ongoing issue. read more

Great campground however the deluxe sites could use some cleaning up the patios have grass growing through all the bricks and it just doesn't really look well maintained but overall the campground is really nice. The pool area with the water slides and lazy river is really cool however don't have any fun because those life guys do is blow their whistle and yell at the kids. Yelp seems to have the only close to honest not altered reviews. We will NEVER return or recommend this overpriced park with way too many issues. $1,000 for 3 days with golf cart. Cabin air-conditioning did not work, said something to management and all I got was "O Well". 90 degrees outside, only had 1 lifeguard that shut the pool down for an hour while he went t to lunch. This park has gone downhill with every successive year. Built a great waterpark with slides and lazy river but typically something is broken every day. Used to get wood delivered to campsite...no more....and the prices...UGH.....this park is pricing its way out of the market...little value anymore. They close the ice cream shop at 7:00 pm. Yep, used to be open to 9:00 but no more. Who wants ice cream right after dinner? So you purchase an ice cream treat at the camp store....$3 FOR A CRAPPY, SMALL FUDGESICLE. So rates have gone up...and I can see that with rising utility prices and wages...but to basically cut services or change outrageous prices for ANYTHING in the camp store?? NOT ACCEPTABLE...this will be our last trip here, after being here for the last several years. Everything was great for the most part. A little strict with the lazy river but the kids enjoyed the water slides and the rest of the water activities. Laser tag didn't work quite right but they still enjoyed it. Jumpy pillow and putt putt was fun. The worst part by far was the marijuana smell from our neighbors. I understand it's legal here in Maryland but this is Yogi Bear, a child oriented campground. That should be off limits at Yogi. read more

This place has a heavy swinger crowd and these people do not take no for an answer. They say vulgur, offensive things in front of their kids and your kids and they will follow you back to your camper to try to get you to join them. They have harassed my family and a handful of other families since they got here. I don't appreciate this behavior at a family campground & can't believe how open and pervasive it is. You'd think after saying no they would leave you alone, but it only makes it worse. They open this place to he public and it is legit standing room only on the weekend, which is unacceptable considering how much money you pay. Only plus is the staff is very friendly and they keep this place clean. But we'll never come back. read more

We came during the off season (late November) and it was awesome. Prices were good. Cabin was very clean and quiet. Very few people around. Most of the attractions were closed but that was good b/c of the pandemic... so we had entire playgrounds to ourselves. Nearby (9 minute drive) is a great fly fishing location called Devil's Backbone. There is even a playground for kids there and a covered pavilion to eat a lunch. Very hidden but once you find it it's a great place to camp at. Our cabin was cozy though the ac went out our 4th day there. Advised the camp and they immediately took care of it. They are very kind and pet friendly as well. The pools and splash zones were awesome my son refused to leave the pool and splash zone area he enjoyed it so much. It was peaceful at night as well due to their quiet time rules. Definitely recommend it to everyone!!! read more

We had an enjoyable stay. The campground is in the shoulder season, so the water park is closed. They do have volleyball, basketball, and free putt putt. However, I felt the prices are high if the main attraction is not available. BTW, They do offer wi-fi but it doesn't really work. Additionally, there was a Halloween weekend where kids got dressed up and people decorated their RVs. It was a lot of fun. I found the staff to be polite but I would have appreciated a better transfer at check in. (Wi fi, directions to campsite, when things open, etc..) My site was level and fairly easy tip get and out. All in all I will give this place a good score but probably would only go back during the peak season. read more

The park in itself was a great experience for the kids but the cabin was very dirty and most of the staff we called for assistance were RUDE! We arrived at 4 for our check in our cabin was not ready housekeeping was still cleaning our cabin. When we finally get in and ran to use the bathroom we found the toilet bowl was beyond dirty, there was dirt lining around the toilet bowl which WE had to clean and even the then the dirt was still stained on there. The floors were not swept we decided to sweep and noticed all the dirt only 10 mins after getting into the cabin. The fans and walls were dusty and full of spiderwebs And lastly the night before our check out we encountered a mouse running around our cabin! This place was very dirty and unhygienic we will not be returning. Specially during a time where Covid is threatening to take us all I did not feel this place was properly cleaned and disinfected it was very unsafe during a global pandemic. Also we felt uncomfortable calling and asking for any accommodations before we were greeted with rudeness. read more

Clearly there is a disconnect between guests and staff, as Tessa proves. When I called to book our reservation I was told that the water slides would be closed, but the water park would still be open during our stay. I was trying to avoid the exact situation that happened by calling their "specialists". We were not the only family to experience this. Two groups left early after they also discovered the water park would be closed. Clearly the message isn't being relayed properly. Suggesting people should check the website and then saying things could change you should probably call (and be given incorrect information like we were) seems very deceptive. A catch-22 of sorts. We had family from out of town staying during the same time. Shortly before our stay they received a phone call with the same information- water slides closed, reduced activities. It was never mentioned that the water park would be closed or we would have cancelled our reservations and went somewhere else. Side note: we never received ths call. If you're considering staying here, do yourself a favor and don't. As I described in my original review, a lot of the activities are in rough shape (some dangerously so) and they skip on things that wouldn't require a lot of effort, like showing movies. They played one the first night. A staff member started the movie, left, and came back after it ended. Why couldn't that be done one random night during the week? Instead, the few families that are around have run of the camp, which is great until they use that "activities may be modified or canceled" clause and the few things that were supposed to be opened suddenly aren't. read more

Our family stayed at this campground the weekend after Memorial Day. Customer service at the facility was good in all but one category. The food service at the pool was horrendous. We waited in a relatively short line to make an order. The order was for two "meat lovers" pizzas and five large drinks. An hour later we were still waiting for food. We questioned the staff on the status of our order and were told that the Pizza would be ready in a few minutes. One half hour later we were still waiting for the food. At that time, we requested to speak with a manager. The girl behind the counter stated that there were no managers on duty. A few minutes later we were given the wrong pizzas. We also observed a woman and two small children waiting for two ice cream cones. She waited for an hour to get the ice cream. For the above reason, I am forced to give this park a low rating. read more

When your pre-schooler tells you for 5 months straight that she wants to go camping- and you see a Certifikid deal for Yogi Bear's park-- you finally bite the bullet and take the kiddo camping for the first time in BOTH of your lives. Now let's be real here- I did not break out the tent...we went Glamping. In their most luxurious cabins which sleep sleep six, has two bedrooms that contain a full size bed with a single bunk above, and features cable TV with a VCR or DVD player, an electric fireplace, air conditioning, heat and a ceiling fan in each room. The kitchen area includes a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, table settings & glasses and for those of you who HATE communal bathrooms, these cabins come with a shower, toilet, and sink. Outside there is a picnic table and fire ring. And they do daily curbside trash pick up. Before you all go around all SMH at me--- one of the days there were 60 mph winds and hail for about an hour and it drizzled the rest of the day. SO. Whatever. :p If you are anything like me- Yogi Bear park was great. There was an awesome waterpark with slides, the biggest bounce pad I have every seen in my life, a heated pool, golf carts, a store on site, and tons of pre-planned organized activities to keep your kids engaged so they don't spend 12 hours staring mindlessly into the firepit. We participated in the hayride, the dance party, and chili cookoff. The kids loved seeing Yogi and Boo Boo characters all over the park and we had a few great photo ops. Plus, only being about an hour and a half away from DC is perfect. The next time my kiddo gets all riled up about camping again, this is my kind of camping. For those of you who have campers, pop ups and like to actually rough it in a tent, they have those spots available too. :) read more

So glad we tried it. Will NEVER come back. $351 for a mandatory 3-night stay. RV spot. Cabins were $600+. Activities were all open sporadically. No posted hours. You'd call and ask, the teenybopper staff would give you their best guess, you'd go - they were closed. Kids came back disappointed from: bounce pillow (closed), water slide (closed), zip line (closed), laser tag (closed), pedal cars (closed), pool (closed). I'm still not sure what the actual hours are for everything because NOTHING is posted & even when you ask, it's not accurate!! Over-crowded pool. No chairs available at pool after 11:05 am. ( I THINK it opens at 11). No wifi to speak of. None. Zip. Lady at camp store was rude. They MIS-labeled the price tag on a tablecloth. When I tried to purchase it for the posted price, she was like "Uh, no way! This is a MIS-print. I can't give it to you for that price." Uh - yes you can, not my fault your staff screwed up. She refused to sell me the item. Unreal!! Golf cart rental @ $60/day. Um - no thank you! I'm already paying $120/day to park my RV. Half that for a cart? We'll walk, thanks. Our favorite poolside activity (while sitting on our own chairs that we lugged over from our camp site): "guess who's smoking?" We do NOT smoke, so I asked about restricted areas ( we'd like to find them and stay there ) response by staff: No restrictions, you can smoke ANYWHERE in the camp! Ugh. Have I mentioned the flies?!? Park is Infested with them. I've never had so many flies land on me in a day. And we bathe - I swear. Gross. Over everything. I'm with the lady who said for the $$ GREAT WOLF LODGE is a much better deal. Could not agree more!!! We will NEVER come back here. In fact, I'm telling my kids I don't even want my funeral procession to pass by this place. read more

Well, Yogi Bear is a weird place. The staff is either great or completely incompetent. My family was treated very poorly by the general manager and the pool staff. We rented a cabana and felt as though we were being policed the entire time we were there on our second day. I spoke to the manager about one of his over zealous life guards, Dylan, yelling the F word at the kids and scaring the 7 year old. He seemed pretty unapologetic and brushed us off. The rules changed hour to hour and it became so unpleasant that we just left the pool. a lot of the other families there seemed pretty confused as to what was going on as well. Because it was July, the " water park" is what drew us there. (which is very small, don't believe the pictures. The actual swimming area was the same size as my parents pool in their back yard) Larry and Charlie from the maintenance staff were incredible. They were very attentive when our site had some electrical issues. They also delivered the hot tub we ordered in the middle of a storm to make sure it was heated and ready to go as promised. Mash at the front desk was really nice to us as well. She was understanding about our experience at the pool and passed my number on to the manager, who never bothered to call me back. The sites were either really nice or it looked like you were in a parking lot. I will most likely go again because our kids had a great time, but I was just really disappointed in 75% of the staff we interacted with. John, the general manager has a lot to learn about how to treat the families that choose to spend their money there. read more

Just got home for the weekend. Took kids ages 8 & 9, and stayed in a comfort cabin, which consisted of a double bed, T/T bunk, and a bathroom with toilet shower and sink. Also had a fridg, a small tv, and coffee pot with filters. We arrived on Thurs, it was wonderful, pool wasn't crowed at all and no line for the water slide. It was packed come Sat after 3pm, once everyone was checked in, couldn't even find an empty chair alongside the pool. We decided if we go again we will leave Sat instead of Sun, we were ready to leave by Sat anyway because we were so exhausted. Just wish I would have brought the kids bikes with us, there were lots of kids on bikes, good way to get rid of the kids for a bit. And with such a cramped cabin you need a reason to keep them busy. we gave the kids each $10 to go spend in the gameroom so me and the hubby could have some alone time. The games give you tickets that you put in a machine and pick a prize. We had a great family weekend together, will def go again. Hopefully next time in an RV! read more

Really only half a star, and that's only because our cabin was clean. This is not "camping" or even "glamping"... This is being in the middle of the parking lot at a Hank Williams Jr. concert. We stayed in an over priced "comfort cabin" (in all its fake wood double wide glory) with RV's as far as the eye could see... Nature? Not so much. Rustic? Not so much...Quiet? Not so much. Just lots and lots of....busses. They seem to take great pride in providing as little space to the most tin cans as possible (see below for our "view"). The website is SERIOUSLY misleading...but if you enjoy staying in a double wide outfitted in "wood" and "rocks" surrounded by tin cans...then wow. This is the place for you my friend. read more

We came here for a one night stay (which is only allowed when you do it within a week of your stay because they basically have rooms available that ok one booked). It was a cool fall weekend. No rain but a bit windy and chilly. We have stayed at the Luray location before and our conclusion is that this location is ten times better. This location makes you feel like you are in the woods with lots of trees. Instead of feeling like you are camping in a parking lot or field. The location was clean and amenities seemed in better shape than the luray location. The arcade st luray consisted of 2-4 machines. This one had much more and an automated gift dispenser for the tickets. It isn't a full blown Chuck E. Cheese, but it is something. Our cabin was in good condition and everyone of the staff was friendly and helpful. The waterpark looks amazing and if it was in the summer, I bet it would be a lot of fun. The difference that we noticed from luray is that the cabins here have lots of gravel. This is good for after it rains as it isn't as muddy. Luray has more grass around the fire pit area. Both locations are nice but in the end, this park looks cleaner and newer. We will be back to this one for sure! read more

We came up for Father's Day and stayed for two nights in a cozy cabin. The weekday rates were much more reasonable than the weekend. The park was about 75% full based on our strolls through the camp grounds. The cabin was perfect for the four of us. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Many activities or treats were include or cheap, a few add ons were priced too high. Mostly positives. Negatives were not big for us. Positive: Water park (great for 5&7yr old) Extra activities (free bounce, cheap ninja course, free nightly movie outside, free mini golf) Ice cream shack ($3 for a scoop is better than six flags or a baseball game) Cabin and space to spread out. Staff (mix of high school / college and full time adults managers) Negative: Water park opening time (11am is too late) Add-on prices (fire wood and jem panning were too much) read more

This was a one night stay at a 50 amp full hookup site. Entrance to the park was winding and narrow. We made our reservations online a couple days before so check in was easy. We were then escorted to our site. The park was mostly empty but they parked all the rvs together side by side on one row instead of giving us a little space. The sites were gravel and long enough to fit our 40' motorhome with tow but the site was also very narrow. Opening the slides made it feel like were right on top of the rig next to us. There were also few trees where we were parked so no shade but clear view for satellite. There was a really big dog park near our site which our dogs really enjoyed. Everything else was closed for the winter and there was construction going on nearby and lots of noisy trucks and heavy equipment drove by often. I also was never able to connect to their wifi and no one answered my calls to the office to find out how to fix it. This is a destination park that's really busy during high season. I would probably stay here again if in the area passing through. read more
