The bath houses are cleaned everyday and are in good working condition. My only complaint is the non functioning laundry room but there is a laundromat within a mile of the campground. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is fully stocked with all campers may need and then some. When touring Washington DC and all the battlefields this place is centrally located. We stayed a month and still didn't see it all. We'll be staying here again when in the area.

I called to make arrangements and was told that I needed to submit an application that is reviewed and approved by the owner before I can rent a site. I asked what was on the application. Apparently they need to know your salary, prior criminal record and other stuff that is NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS. As a retired LEO, I have no criminal record. But even if I did, nobody should have to qualify for a security clearance to rent a damn camping site!

They have a system with the ice which is $5 a bag and that also helps cool the tent. It's glamping like camping so expect it to be warm during day and cooler at night. Luckily, Firefly Ridge has portable coolers inside their tents! This was such a life saver. The tents were cozy and spacious. Our tent had a private Blackstone and a firepit with grill so we had plenty of options for cooking. The bathroom was quite possibly the nicest bathroom that I've seen at a any campground or even other glamping resorts! I highly recommend Firefly Ridge. It is clean, quiet, and they take good care of their guests.

We ended up ordering on Uber Eats since this Yogi Bear didn't offer dinner service and their pizza ovens stopped working. It was late in the season though.

The events were not always timely for instance the advertised pool party didn't start getting setup until 15 minutes after advertised and it was indeed not a party. Lastly the canteen was inexcusably inefficient for grabbing a meal by the pool. You had to wait in line for 45+ minutes and then were quoted an additional 1+ hour until you would get your food. In all this park has so much potential to be better. But if cabins are not up to par, guests should be contacted in advance or given a remedy.

Our last two camping trips to Rocky Gap were met with neighbors who decided to party until 2am both nights. There is an overwhelming issue with campers not monitoring their children and leaving a lot of trash in the woods. It is not easy to contact rangers for support. Calls go to voice mail with no response. We will likely select a different park for camping going forward.

Mason was extremely helpful in getting us situated for a great weekend. My group decided to rent both the Red Maple and Twisted Oak sites since they are adjacent to each other. Both sites were well appointed and unbelievably picturesque. Grouseland continues to be one of the best campsites in the Mid Atlantic and I cannot recommend enough!

The petting zoo is small but sweet, the kids loved spending time with the animals. The grounds & views are spectacular. They had a band & beautiful fireworks for the 4th. My understanding is they usually have a band & small celebration on Memorial & Labor Day wknds. They do something special for Halloween (although idk how scary it gets). Cox Camping is much more than a typical campground, they want their campers to have a great time & do everything in their power to ensure it. I don't know of any other campground that does the same.
