Staff incredibly rude. Went last night. There were 3 young women behind the counter. First one walking in gave a cup and glove.. she was nice. (Hence the 2 stars) After we got our yogurt and it was time for toppings, there was a young woman, didn't catch her name but had thick winged black eyeliner, slightly tall/bigger than the other gals, had the worst attitude as she was putting on toppings. I felt like I couldn't even ask for a third topping cause she would get even more irritated. She walked away and helped my bf with his, same "lovely attitude" of acting like she was annoyed at work. So I asked another girl if she could put one more thing.... Man! You would've thought I asked her for money or something! The winged eyeliner gal rung us up, didn't say anything. My brother went in specifically for plain tart and the only employee working there said she couldn't move the machine because it was too heavy and she had to wait for someone else to come in and make more. It may be just me but working at a frozen yogurt place I'd say the ability to roll a machine back and add whatever needs to be added should be a qualifying factor...decide for yourself but we won't be back. If you've been to literally any yogurt shop in the last decade, then you probably have a good idea of what to expect at this specific Yogurtland. Some days are great: the flavors sound awesome, there's a friendly teen handing out sample cups at the door, the spa water dispenser is full and a delicious fruit flavor, and the toppings are neat, full, and diverse. Other times...the flavor you want isn't working, the sole 16 year old working is frazzled and trying to do 3 things at once, there's a crying kid spilling and sticky-fying everything and there's no space to sit in the shade outside on the courtyard. But, life's a risk [dog] right? With limited dessert and late-night options in Simi, I think this Yogurtland actually does an okay to good job about 90% of the time. And the other 10% haven't been so atrocious that I'd stop coming here. Employee turnover seems crazy high, so that's a little suspicious, but judging from the reviews, I get the feeling angry customers probably contribute to that. Anyway. Located in the Regal Plaza in SIMI Valley, the staff are usually friendly and attentive, though sometimes become slightly overwhelmed when super busy. I then moved to Simi Valley (Ventura County) and was sooo bummed that my Yogurtland was not an option anymore :( This was my mine and my boyfriend's date spot! AND THEN THE HEAVENS OPENED AND A YOGURTLAND OPENED 3 MINUTES AWAY IN SIMI VALLEY I have been meaning to go in since it opened probably a month ago and FINALLY made it in earlier this week. It was SO clean and gorgeous and bright and exactly how I remembered (I wish I could add a million hearts right here)! I was VERY excited to see that "Mint Snowflake" was the featured flavour of the month, I jumped right on it! Got half of that and half Double Chocolate and added strawberries, raspberries, little chocolate chips and chocolate syrup. Heaven. It couldn't have been better unless we were both naked, I swear. Both of our generous servings were less than $5. God damn I love Yogurtland. It doesn't get any better than this. The guy at the counter was so welcoming and sweet too. Originally opened in Fullerton (basically Asia), I'm glad that Yogurtland found its way to the non-Asian demographic that occupies this area. Frozen yogurt is frozen yogurt is frozen yogurt, but it's lovely to drive a short distance to indulge in higher quality froyo (compared to some sketchy yogurt shops we have around Moorpark and Simi) when the cravings kick in! This store is small, but it gets the job done. Squeezed right between Natural Cafe & Starbucks, it's quiet, clean, and offers about 16 flavors to choose from. The classic flavors have made themselves quite comfy here: Dutch Chocolate, French Vanilla, Strawberry, New York Cheesecake, Cookies & Creme, Plain Tart, Coffee, Pistachio, Toasted Coconut, Peanut Butter, among a few others. They're always rotating the rest, but today's newer flavors were: Salted Caramel Pecan (nothing special, just caramel), Peanut Nougat w/ Almond Butter & Honey Gelato (nope, just tasted like peanuts), Salted Dark Chocolate (tasted like dark chocolate, sea salt not really detectable, weird aftertaste), Double Cookies & Cream (just tasted like.. regular cookies and cream). Overall, the fancy flavors taste, well, underwhelming. Which is why I'll always stick with the plain tart with fruit, nuts, and chocolate toppings. I like simplicity, I like classics. There is so much you can can use to compare it to other yogurt shops such as Golden Spoon and Go Yogurt. List form seems simplest: -Get to sample the flavors, all of which are amazing. -As much or little yogurt and toppings you want. -Priced per ounce, at a really good price. -Quality spoons which are biodegradable. This place is always so bustling and busy with people going in and out. I went here for the first time and got the salted caramel praline. I love my sweet. I eat that sickeningly sweet flavor some people have trouble with and it was delicious. I covered it with caramel, captain crunch, and mochi and it was fantastic. I wanted to make my yogurt cute with the little cigar wafers (the "roll up" wafers), but I just don't like chocolate. I wish they offered a non chocolate one. My dad and I go to this Yogurtland to catch up and have a night to hang out just us two, but unfortunately the last 3 times we have went it's gone down hill. We went at 7:30 pm the first time, and half their yogurt machines were empty. Bad night, oh well. The 2nd time we went, our favorite flavors were to runny to eat, and when I pointed it out to the worker, she said she's new and doesn't know how to fix that. On our 3rd (and probably final) time, half the yogurt flavors were empty, the toppings were almost all gone, and the store was filthy. I politely asked the workers why they don't fill the machines (keep in mind this was about 7:00 pm and they don't close to midnight) and the workers just looked at me and said "i don't know."
