This review is specifically for the eBar coffee shop- not the restaurant. I'm also not reviewing the food, drinks, or atmosphere. This is solely about the customer service, and unfortunately, another reviewer recently described the exact same experience. The previous team was always warm and genuinely customer service oriented. Since the recent staff turnover, the experience has completely changed. The new baristas come across as though they dislike interacting with customers. Their demeanor is odd and off putting, especially for a customer facing role. This isn't based on one bad visit either. It's happened one too many times and has become a consistent pattern every time I come in. Whether I'm walking in to place an order or picking up a mobile order, I'm often met with blank stares instead of a simple "Hi" or "Welcome." There's rarely a "Thank you" or any acknowledgment at all. It feels like I'm the one providing the customer service by saying hello, please, and thank you- despite being the customer. A friendly greeting and basic courtesy go a long way. I hope management provides additional customer service training or hires people who genuinely enjoy interacting with customers. Coffee shops are often part of someone's daily routine, and a positive interaction can make a big difference. Right now, every interaction feels uncomfortable, which is disappointing considering how welcoming this place used to be. read more

I've given this place more chances than I should have, and every time I walk away more disappointed. The atmosphere isn't the problem -- it's the staff. There are two particular baristas who stand out for all the wrong reasons: one is a shorter Hispanic girl with tattoos, black hair, and glasses, the other about the same height with brown hair (she looks white but I'm almost certain she's Hispanic). Both of them carry the same smug, sassy energy -- and unless you're one of their favorites, that attitude is exactly what you'll get as a customer. I've watched them roll their eyes, crack sarcastic jokes to each other, and act like actually helping people was some kind of burden. It's uncomfortable to be around, and it sets a terrible tone for the whole shop. And it doesn't stop there -- the management isn't any better. The manager himself has the same dismissive vibe, like customer service is optional. When that's the example being set at the top, it's no surprise the rest of the team acts like they'd rather be anywhere else. The turnover here is another huge red flag. The few genuinely good baristas don't stick around, which says a lot about what it must be like to work under this kind of leadership. What you're left with is a team that seems unmotivated, checked out, and more focused on chatting with each other than doing their jobs. On top of it all, the store's obsession with sales is painfully obvious. Every visit comes with forced upselling for things nobody asked for. It feels more like walking into a retail store than a coffee shop -- numbers first, customers second. But I guess that's exactly what you should expect when the focus is sales over service. With so many better options around, I wouldn't waste my time here again. Poor service, fake hospitality, and a sales-driven atmosphere are not worth the price of a cup of coffee. read more

So I've tried a few items. The Royal Cookies are amazing -coconut macadamia & chocolate chips My husband and i crave these now . The oatmeal cookie is also very good they are thick n chewy not hard as a rock . I love the Lime Cooler drink with half the coconut syrup/ half the coconut milk it's so refreshing . During the Anniversary sale I purchased 2 bags of the Nordstrom Espresso whole beans and honestly , the coffee is Meh. I'm a huge Pete-nic so guess I'm spoiled . I wanted to try the Roast beef and pimento cheese sandwich but i didn't have time and didn't want to leave in my car cooler so I made the sandwich at home with ingredients from bristol farms (they sell the pimento cheese) . Delicious! I highly recommend you try this sandwich and heat it up, toasted like one of the people recommended .. Got all melty and gooey just delicious! read more

I typically go for an Iced Vanilla latte, but saw Jared drinking a Brown Sugar Maple Cold Brew, asked about it and was told he had recently mixed syrups to create the drink & I was sold immediately!!! I don't often enjoy going to the mall but I definitely will now that I've found a great new coffee shop. Amazing customer service and the drink was spectacular. Visited this location yesterday for the first time. It's been here for as long as I can remember, but I just never tried it previously. Well, I am glad that I did because I had what was literally the best tasting coffee I've ever drank in my life. It was a vanilla foam cold brew. The coffee was so unbelievably smooth and balanced. Also, the lady working was incredibly genuinely nice. Every single thing about my experience here was positive. I definitely will choose this spot over the Starbucks in the future. read more

The Ebar in Nordstrom has been one of my favorite coffee/tea quickie stops for more years than I can remember. I love having this little coffee shop that's always located on the first floor right outside of every Nordstrom. They always have a good selection of good quality coffees and teas, along with some pastries and snacks. While their vegan selections are somewhat limited, they do have enough for me to get by. The service at this particular location is really good. There is a male barista that is over the top outgoing and friendly. You can't help but be in a good mood when dealing with him. It's nice to be able to just stop here for my tea before I pop in to Nordstrom to do my shopping. I will continue to frequently a bar for as long as it exists! read more

We had a good experience here. We just made a quick stop for coffee to-go during a road trip, and found this coffee bar adjacent to a Nordstrom department store in the mall. The staff were friendly with prompt service, the coffee was really good, and the shop and tables were all clean. I'd certainly stop in again for coffee if I found myself in the area. read more

I've bought coffee here a few times in the past several years. The cafe is located on the lower level, next to Nordstrom. Drinks I usually buy the cold brew and have been satisfied. It doesn't have too much of a bitter after taste and strong. Food No comment since I don't buy their food. I think it's a little over priced. $2.35 for a single bagel? No thanks. For the same amount or for almost $3, I can buy a full bagel sandwich. Customer Service Always friendly baristas and my coffee is made correctly and quickly. Location A small and upscale looking cafe that's right next to Nordstrom. Plenty of comfy chairs and regular tables/chairs. Some are next to wall plugs in case you need to charge your electronics. Parking Located in The Oaks Mall. Plenty of parking on the lot or in the parking garage. Well lit at night. All free. Will come back. read more

Giving this e bar 4 stars because their drinks and food are always delicious. The quality is very consistent. If you're a fan of lavender I would highly recommend their lavender chai. It's sooo delicious! If you're into fruit try their orange pineapple spritzer. One thing that could use some work when I go is their customer service. 95% of the time I don't get a greeting, a thank you or even a "what can I get for you today." They just stay silent and wait for me to say what I would like to order. read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to grab food and a coffee. It seems they have all new staff. I do enjoy the items from here. This 1 star review is based on customer service. The guy working the register was very rude and a total let down for Nordstrom who used to be known for customer service. If you do not like your job go elsewhere. Today, I went in and wanted to order something different, so I was asking the cashier, Nathan, what was good and he was being so polite (keep in mind I had a kid with me that was not in a good mood) and he was being patient with me and very pleasant. I know for a fact that he takes his job seriously and values customers, because I have been treated well by him every time I go in. He is always so kind and also makes drinks really well. Between the friendly and helpful staff, great quality drinks, and delicious sandwiches and salads, this place does not even compare to that of other chain stores. Quite honestly their coffee is of much higher quality, they offer many organic and fair trade coffees and teas, and all their pastries and bagels are shipped to them daily, fresh from the bakery. Their salads, protein packs, and sandwiches are all made fresh from the Blue Stove upstairs, so freshness can not be beat. I have never been disappointed in their drinks or food, and the prices are as fair as you can get, with the best service around. read more

I've enjoyed the drinks here over the years. It's been a good alternative to the nearby Starbucks. I'm not sure what's going on but the drinks - iced vanilla latte, iced Mexican mocha that I've purchased this week have been terrible. (One purchased on Tuesday, the other today 9/23). They were very bland & somehow seemed watered down. I'm sad & disappointed. I didn't taste either until I was on the way home so I couldn't have them re-make the drinks. So I was very disappointed when I went to the ebar this morning. I go there very often and usually either get a bagel, turn over or croissant well today I went to go get a ham and cheese croissant and the guy who helped me "Villamor" refused to heat it up for me because of safety reasons although I always get stuff heated up when I buy it there, it was very annoying I've never even seen that guy before but I kind of wish I would have walked away the cheese is gross since its very cold I will keep going there because I love the people that work there and they are always very helpful but if he is there I rather go somewhere else since I didn't like his customer service. read more

Horrible customer services. All new staff. I wasn't greeted, I ordered a salad and the cashier didn't offered me utensils or salad dressing. I order a latte and it wasn't creamy like a latte it looks, it looked like a regular coffee. The atmosphere is definitely different with this new crew. There were three male employees and each one of them had a long face, if customer service is not for you then find a different job. This behavior is not good or expected from Nordstrom's employees. The drinks are all amazing. Very tasty and the service is always great. I work in the mall and we have a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as well as a Starbucks. Starbucks lines are always long no matter what time, and they take forever with all the drinks. As far as Coffee Bean? Im sorry but I need to taste my caffeine in my drinks, they are just too sweet and chemical tasting. The Ebar on the other hand has great tasting fresh coffee! Also, I go every morning for their pastries or on my lunch for a delicious salad or sandwich. My favorite is the herb wrap with vegetables. The pasta bow tie salad is also so good! I really love this place, if you are shopping and need a pick me up or work here in the mall and need some caffeine to power through your day come here and try one of their coffees. After eating upstairs at Blue Stove, it's a must to come downstairs to the E-bar and go through their assortment of coffee. Typical to other E-Bars across the nation (well, I guess the only other one I've been to is the one in Ala Moana in Hawaii), I'm always a huge fan of their sweet black&white mocha. I love a good Nordstrom Ebar however I don't love when employee become careless due to visitors waiting for them. The barista spilled my coffee all down the side of the cup and just placed the cup in a larger one to "cover" the fact that she did that. Then proceeded to just place the drink down and didn't let me know if it was mine. I had to ask, the cup didn't even have the sleeve on it with my name. All while her boyfriend was just waiting there for her and she didn't care to even do her job well long enough for one more drink before running off to hug him. Where's the part of the appilcation where you check No to not being personally effected by personal issues while at work. And when did work places start allowing personal visitors.
