Amazing place with an excellent service. Food was super delicious, and I would say it was the best Japanese place EVER.

Love going here. The Sushi is amazing. The staff is friendly & clean environment. The outside looks a little sketchy. Just wish they had days like Wasabi in Lafayette that offers all you can eat off the menu.

We hadn't visited Chez Jacqueline in years and decided to make the trip. As in the past, we were…read morethe only cu there. Jacqueline is charming and welcoming. You can tell she really enjoys people and wants to make them happy. We started with flambéed shrimp and french onion soup. The shrimp were delicious. It was a spin on New Orleans style barbeque shrimp and we really enjoyed them. The french onion soup was good, but a bit oversalted. The seafood platter was huge, it could have easily served a whole family. The fish and shrimp were very good, but unfortunately the stuffed crabs and crawfish were a bit fishy. We would return for the hospitality but may stick to the french selections next time.

The menu's a weird mashup of provincial French and hyper-traditional Cajun cooking, prepared by Jacqueline Salser, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained French expat. I ate: Old-fashioned Crawfish Bisque, including heads stuffed with a filling made from ground crawfish tails, vegetables and spices Crawfish Étouffée Alligator Sauce Piquante Really excellent French bread from a local bakery If you consider visiting, believe every good thing you read about Chez Jacqueline's food and every bad thing you read about their service. The place is worth the drive out of town.

Had a banquet event for 75+ish people at Buck and Johnny's yesterday 2/28/26…read more I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this experience was from booking, to menu planning, to set up. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful! So often at banquets of this size, you run out of food. Not here! The event was extremely well staffed, and our every need was well tended, and our guests raved at how well we were taken care of. After the event, we went next store to the bar and enjoyed the wonderful live music and tremendous atmosphere. I cannot recommend this venue enough! Perfect for banquets or just a good time! Thank you for making our event a hit!

The 2nd stop was during the Zydeco Breakfast on a Saturday morning and I would leave 1 star for that experience. People lining up outside before they open at 0800 and then there is a $10.00 cover charge per person. The music was good but a little too loud (if it's too loud, you're too old). Skip the endless mimosas. They're mixed up in pitchers diluted with a ton of ice and then poured into your cup. The food was atrocious - all our orders came out cold and the biscuits were hockey pucks. They automatically add 20% gratuities to all checks. $160.00 breakfast for 4? Never again.

Fit chicken. Everything was dry. Wife thought chicken came frozen in a bag. She did not eat much of it.

I had been wanting to try this establishment for quite some time…read more The lady at the window kind of gave off the impression that I was bothering her when I pulled up. I asked her about the day's menu and while I don't mind paying the price for food, I was a bit taken aback when she told me it was $13 for a Turkey wing, rice, gravy, potato salad, and beans but as I said, I'd been wanting to try this place for a while plus I was hungry for something besides fast food. I was disappointed because there was no choice of sides; I do not eat potato salad but I was told no substitutions (like double beans) was allowed. When I got back to work and opened up the plate, imagine my chagrin when no delicious smell emitted from the plate and the food itself looked less than appetizing. The food looked like something thrown together for the sole purpose of feeding someone at the last minute. Being brutally honest here, the turkey, gravy, and white beans were similar in color (grayish) with not even a piece of parsley or green onion to jazz things up. Again, the food had absolutely NO aroma. The turkey wing seemed pretty tough because the plastic fork broke when I attempted to fork off some of the meat from the top. On to the rice, gravy, and beans. My first thought was to doctor it up with a bit of seasoning but after taking one tiny bite, I realized that there wasn't enough doctoring in the world to save this food; I just couldn't force myself to eat it. I do not believe in wasting money by throwing food away but unfortunately, I had no alternative. The area is filled with places where you can get a delicious, HIGH QUALITY plate lunch from actual smiling faces for the same price or even cheaper (Glenda's, Poche's, etc.) and my advice is that you skip this place and try one of those.

I will start with it was not exactly what I was looking for, but when I stepped in it was very…read morenice, small but nice. The patrons and staff greeted me with such enthusiasm that I decided to give it a try. It just happened to be steak night so I got the ribeye!! Cooked and seasoned to perfection!!
