    Owners recommendation

I've been wanting to give this place a try for the longest time. I always see the big craft beers banner on the front which caught my eye every time. So last night driving home I decided to give this place a try. When I walked in all I saw was craft beers every where! This place has such a good selection it's the best in town. So far this place is holding it down for South San Jose area. It's a little hidden but it's not hard to find. The price is good the owner keeps the price really fair. They have all kinds of great selections. This place is craft beers heaven! So much to choose from I was standing there reading each bottle. The owner was cool he didn't rush me or anything since it was near closing time. Trust me, if you like craft beers and want a major selection this is the place to be.

    stouts.

Yolo has many different kinds of beers. Yolo carries many domestic and international beers too. If you like beer you'll like this spot. Yolo

They used to have a much better selection of craft beers but now it's just like any supermarket. Nothing unique unfortunately.

I walked in and stood waiting to be seated while an employee, who appeared to be the owner or manager, continued talking with her kids instead of acknowledging customers. I don't mind waiting, but a simple "We'll be right with you" would have made all the difference. I decided to give them another chance. On a later visit, I spent a few hours working there and ordered drinks. When a friend joined me, he sat down and was completely ignored. No one came over to greet him or ask if he'd like anything. We eventually had to flag someone down just so he could place an order. After that, our server mentioned that Tuesdays were buy one, get one free on wine. I ordered my second glass, but it never arrived. When I asked another server about it, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. The irony is that I would have happily paid full price--I wasn't the one asking for a deal. They were the ones who brought up the promotion, then acted bothered when I politely asked about the wine that was never delivered. The final straw was our most recent visit. We were seated at a table by the staff, only to be told a few minutes later that we had to move because the tables were supposedly reserved for the party sitting behind us. We moved without making an issue of it, but no one ever ended up using those tables for the entire time we were there. It was frustrating to be relocated after being seated, especially when the explanation didn't match what actually happened. At this point, it's hard to view these experiences as isolated incidents. The common theme has been inattentive service and an attitude that makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience rather than guests. There are too many great wine bars that genuinely appreciate their customers for me to spend any more time or money here.

From the outside, it looks like a small church, and inside it feels like a greenhouse. Unfortunately, the service was pretty disappointing. We were seated right away, but no one came by to take our order. After waiting for a while, my husband ended up going to the bar to order directly from the staff at the front. The wine itself was also just okay and was served fairly warm. Not sure if that was intentional, but it wasn't what we expected. Overall, it's cute, but between the lack of service and the underwhelming experience, it's probably not somewhere I'd go back to

There are weekly tournaments, a PC area, and plenty of board games. Because this spot is in downtown SJ, it can be a bit difficult to find parking, though for $10-20 you can find a spot in a nearby lot or parking garage. It is a spacious venue, and there is always something going on. They occasionally do get rented out for events, though, so I'd recommend checking ahead of time, especially if you're not a regular. The staff here is great; everyone is really friendly, and the bartenders are quick and accommodating. The food here is decent, though it can be a little slow in coming out. Their selection of drinks is solid as well, and the bartenders are helpful in making recommendations if you're unsure. Overall, it's a really great spot to hang out after work--there is free WiFi, a ton of space, and a lot to do. I'd recommend figuring out when they're hosting events you enjoy or coming by with some friends if you're interested in board games.
