a friend suggested this place - burger with iranian twist. so we came together. this place has creative burger names...(yonge and steeles, yonge and eglinton, davisville, etc etc). ordered: 1. yonge englinton 2. davisville (beef patty, mushroom, caramel onion, cheddar cheese) 3. chicken nugget 4. chipotle dipping sauce (for the nugget). overall , the burger lacks of flavor. patty is slightly juicy. didnt really taste the cheddar cheese or the caramel onion. like sth is missing overall. not much sauce (i.e. not overpowering) but also too little. ended up using the chipotle on it .which makes the experience better ( my eating buddy ended up follow suit). and not enough chipotle in the end for the nugget. lol. i read the mixed review prior to coming here, but thought i'll give it a try myself. verdict - good for first timer. cheers! read more

Location/Service This place is along Yonge street, just a bit south of Steeles and north of Cummer. Parking is a little tricky since it's right by Yonge - so you have to probably use small streets around the lot. Inside is very spacious, I like their general layout that's a bit trendy and easy to walk around even if it's busy. Their tables are all bar style - so not sure if it's okay with small kids (though there are high chairs). Food This place is named Yonge Burger since it's along Yonge and I find it super creative how their burgers are also name after Yonge intersections like Eglinton, St Clair, Church, Bloor, etc. Each burger is slightly different but it has a general base of 7.2oz patty with either a variety of carmalized onions, cheese, mushroom, bacon, etc. I ended up trying the Rosedale and Lawrence - both were really good. Huge in portion size (overflowing toppings) - with a juicy patty and mushroom (for Lawrence) and onion rings (for Rosedale). Speaking of onion rings, definitely order it cause they do it with panko batter - which is very uncommon and not generally use. It really adds a big crunch (you can even hear it when you chew) and flavour. They also have hot dogs and poutines to try - a very standard setup. Overall this place is great - I see a lot of people coming in and out and doing online orders. Finally got to try Yonge Burger! I got to try the kimchi burger, my brother had the yonge burger, and we shared curly fries. The beef patty wasn't super flavourful/salty and I preferred that because the secret sauce and sourness of the kimchi was enough. The burger was huge too and definitely filled us up for hours. Curly fries weren't anything special but they hit the spot. Their beef patties are certified Halal and made with AAA Canadian, antibiotic-free and grass-fed beef and the quality definitely shines through. Presentation was great too. Came here after still being hungry from a disappointing meal. We've been eyeing this place for a while because it's so close and looks so good from posts. We got the Yonge and College burger and the popcorn chicken poutine ($14 each). Both were very satisfying! The burger tasted so fresh and not greasy. The jalapeños gave it a nice kick and the veggies tasted crisp and fresh as well. Very tasty sauce. I was speaking with the owner and they buy the meat fresh cut, grind and form the patties themselves. Everything is done fresh in house. They also have some chicken burgers and wings. Everything looked great. I tried the Bloor and Yonge. It consisted of a 7.2 oz patty topped with caramelized onions and bacon along with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and the secret Yonge Burger Sauce. The burger is cooked on the flat top from what I could see. It was super juicy! Be sure to have napkins handy! The burger/toppings to bun ratio was perfect. Also the 7.2 oz patty is huge. I can't even imagine tackling a double burger here! I grabbed fries and a pop to make it a combo. The fries were crispy and seasoned well. They also have onion rings and I believe sweet potato fries. We saw this store on yonge street renovating for a while now and my wife and I were excited to try it out. We love trying out new restaurants. They have a nice little website but I'm personally not a fan of putting credit card information online. Thankfully the lady picked up the call and we placed our order easily. She gave a time estimate and it was prepared perfectly right when we arrived. We ordered the crispy chicken burger and the yonge burger with all the fixes. The chicken burger was pretty crispy and flavourful and the yonge burger has very meaty. I would say this is comparable to 5 guys but the meat quality tasted is a step above and I prefer to support local when possible(c'mon their name is literally Yonge Burger!) . To top it off, they have their own special sauce and it complimented both of these burgers nicely. The lady said there was also a cilantro sauce but unfortunately we couldn't find it in the bag. The fries were crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Quite addicting to dip this on their special sauce which we asked on the side. Worst burger I have ever had. They must be popular just because of the name and location plus marketing the names of their burgers based off location. The burger LOOKED delicious but the quality of meat was horrible. I think frozen walmart patties are better. And the fries tasted like they bought them from costco. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. Also, when I asked the cook if he could cut my burger in half because we were sharing he gave me such a hard time.
