Another gem found in the Beaches! Had delivery order ( smoked meat poutine) to my work place today around lunch time. I needed comfort food desperately! Surprisingly, it was more than comfort food. It was delicate that made me appreciate every bite. When i opened the box, I wondered what those dark pieces of crusts were. Looked burnt but when I ate, I learned that they were a tender seal with full of pleasant consentration of spice flavors and hint of smokiness. No bitterness. Meat was super tender and juicy. I saw the sweat from the meat pieces. Perfect balance of red lean meat and fat. Beautiful cuts that preserved the meat texture, no mushiness. When I finally out they sell burgers and not raw meat I definitely had to try it to ease my embarrassment of mistaking a burger place for something else. So far I have tried the Fearless fried mother clucker and the Raptor burger. From the name you can see that the mother clucker is a fried chicken sandwich which I found to be unimpressive. The patty was thin and dry which when given that there are so many other fried chicken sandwich options in the city leads me to not recommend this one. The Fearless raptor burger is a single 6oz beef patty with 2 slices of peameal bacon, 2 slices of Montreal smoked meat and cheese. Overall I enjoyed this burger much more than the mother clucker. The peameal bacon and the smoked meat were pretty good and the sauce on the burger was delicious. However the burger suffered front the same problem as the mother clucker, the patty was dry. It was unfortunate but did not completely ruin the experience. I would definitely order this again. The service was good with friendly staff and the wait times for food was reasonable given how busy this place was when I was there. In terms of space, the shop is fairly small with little space to stand to wait for your food especially when there are other customers in the shop. There is a dining space in the back of the shop with a decent amount of seating. I did not dine in so I cannot really say whether it was confortable or not. All in all, I would say although Fearless meats did not live up to my expectations, I still think they are a solid option for burgers/sandwiches. Their prices are fair and the portions are pretty good so you are getting good value. They also sell fries, ice cream and even have my beloved milkshake so I can definitely see myself coming back and trying their other options. read more

Was craving some smoked meat so I searched up on ubereats and fearless meats showed up. Went with their smoked meat sandwich and was that one of the best decisions I have made. Meat was juicy and tender and had great smoke to it. Coleslaw was vinegary and definitely help cuts through the richness of the smoked meat sandwich. Mother clucker was decent but the major let down was the chicken fingers. Chicken fingers came out as dry as cardboard and the fries arrived stale. Orange shake was ok. A bit tart, but that came with a realistic orange taste. It wasn't thick but that was OK - for orange that thickness works. The junior burger was alright but nothing special. The junior Montreal smoked meat sandwich was excellent. The smoked meat was moist and meaty, with a great spice mix. The portion of smoked meat was generous. My dining companion thought it was like fake meat with a texture like ham. You can see the real meat, but the curing process is a bit off, resulting in the strange texture. I like that the burger and Montreal smoked meat sandwiches come in junior sizes - it helps you try more items. read more

Not the biggest fan. Burger is very standard - homemade vibe. The Montreal smoked meat was okay... Just not my type. No pickles unless you pay extra. Fries were not good - they were either old or overdone... Soggy, dense, weird. However their highlight of 5 stars should be the ice cream. Great cone that you can do a chocolate dip. Came in on Thanksgiving Monday during COVID. Looks like they do have indoor seating for *regular times*. Current situation: 4 outdoor patio tables. You can order through a window or pop inside and order. We were standing outside looking at the menu and we were greeted and welcomed by staff. Pretty extensive menu, various burgers and sandwiches (including vegan options!) we opted for a smoked meat sandwich combo with fries and a pop ($13.99), a side of coleslaw, a pickle, chocolate milkshake and *drumroll* SMOKED MEAT POUTINE. The sandwich was massive, big chunks of meat. You can have it on rye or a kaiser, grainy or regular mustard. Good value and great service. I really have to shout these guys out, they were offering free sandwiches for hungry/homeless. Yes you need to try this place out. read more

I was craving a snack and thr prices drew me in. Additional that it's a local chop thats tasty. $5.65 for a meaty 6oz burger with swiss. Loads of free toppings as well. They didnt have ice cream at the moment but $3-4 sundaes and scoops under $2? I'll definetely return for the smoked meat and treat in the future. This is one of the most underrated burger places in the city. As a small family business it becomes abundantly clear that Fearless Meats take pride in the first rate quality of food they prepare as much as the overall business operation itself. That being said, the value you receive for the quality and quantity of wonderful food they prepare is virtually unheard of these days. We live in the Beach and patronize them regularly. They have been a godsend during the pandemic and I always ensure at least a 20% tip to show our appreciation. I believe they also donate meals to the needy on a regular basis. read more

I finally tried tonight as they just re opened Wed.I ordered through Uber Eats.I had the double Angus burger with cheddar cheese my God portion was huge and the taste was perfect and cooked to perfection.I would have liked some H P bold on it but that is my taste.Fries were also perfect although understanding a tad cold due to the distance they travelled to my home.Gravy was bang on.Best burger in the history of burgers and now am hooked.Can't wait to try other items on menu. read more

I read a couple of reviews on the smoked meat sandwich and figured I'd give it a try. I've had authentic "smoke meat" sandwiches for many years in Montreal and can vouch the meat at Fearless Meat tasted like the real deal, but whoever cut my sandwich needs a lesson in carving. It was cut too thick, was not hot and steamy, and did not fall apart quite like the meat I love. Not to mention the rye bread wasn't quite right and the mustard was grainy, which I do enjoy on other things but not on this sandwich. The Montreal style sandwich is all about the textures, and although this was close, it missed the mark for me. Hubby had the beach burger and it was decent but nothing special. We enjoyed the thick cut fries and although the soft serve only comes in chocolate and vanilla, it's so rich and creamy! We would go back just for the ice cream. read more

Had a double beach burger, Fearless seems to be a twist on the pre-sellout Licks chain which was so good long ago but has since become rather soul-less if still acceptable in a pinch. The FM burger was fine. Pros: moderate pricing, excellent fresh crunchy toppings, patty was certainly bulky and had some peppery seasoning like what I distinctly remember from the old Licks on Queen. Not excessively salty and greasy like some can be, Cons: I feel unsure about what the patties are, as there's not a huge beefy flavor, plus texturally they fairly un-fatty & they have a noticeable bit of ground-up gristle and so I get the impression I'm eating some filler versus anything I would ever pick up to cook at home. Even some PC frozen patties correctly grilled have been tastier. I also didn't have totally clear idea what the 'regular' toppings were so the 'default' condiments seemed too minimal - in fact, requesting some Dijon & asking for more than the usual ketchup may be well-advised. I might give the Fearless Beach Burger one more try, as the value is certainly OK & I am still very keen to try the smoked meat, so we'll see if I become a regular. I've had the crispy fries here too once - when coming home from the excellent Beach Hill Smokehouse who don't sell fries! - and would be enthused for the poutine, to which I may just add some smoked meat, come to that. A great effort at a local business serving an important niche. read more
