Supposedly "beef" for birria more like dog bones

Bought beef for our family birria and the beef we were given was literal dog bones! We are not able to make our meal with the quality of this "meat". Extremely disappointed!

The tri tip we ordered was cooked to perfection. We also had them make chicken quarters, which they cut into thighs and drum sticks for us. Their customer service was very friendly and made you feel as if you were family to them. We will 100% be using them in the future for any catering we need.

Yes it cost a little more than the grocery store but the quality of meat that you receive is worth so much more than what you pay. Just placed an order for 10 pounds of hamburger meat, the apple sausage, Honey cured bacon, the ultimate meatloaf, blue cheeseburgers and the scallop potatoes. I love how everything is individually wrapped/sealed especially the hamburger meat. When you order the hamburger meat it is vacuum sealed in 1 pound packages. The ultimate meatloaf........ how can you not love an old-fashioned meatloaf wrapped in bacon? Even though it's from a store, you can totally tell it's made with love. I would 100% recommend Chases Chop Shop to all of my friends and family for the freshest, best quality meat you could ever want. Yes everything is delivered to your home frozen but once you thaw it out you would never know anything that you ordered was frozen. They are definitely a must try.

I've generally had positive experiences coming here. They are family-run, quality-first, and have a…read more"personal" feel that's rare in the Bay. They Sell: - American Lamb (Not Gamey, Delicious) - High-Quality Chicken (Mary's) - Homemade Sausages - Solid Pork/Beef (including Wagyu) - Game Meats, Veal, Seafood - Deli Items - Seasonal: Dry-Age Prime Rib, Heritage Turkey, etc. Over time, I've made a conciencous effort to get my proteins here. My rotation has usually been their chicken leg quarters, ribeyes, lamb rib chops, and pork steaks. Recently, I made tandoori lamb chops (my favorite dish) with their American lamb, and it was honestly one of the best versions I've ever made (photo attached). A few extra notes: * Go during the week if you can. It's less crowded and the experience is more personal -- you get to actually talk to the folks behind the counter. * The walkways are tight. Not their fault, just something to be aware of if you're on the taller or bigger side. * Hours can be tough for a 9-to-5. They're open Wednesday through Friday during the week and close at 5, so I've had a few near-misses trying to swing by after work. Weekends are open, but plan ahead. * Online pricing would be a nice add -- would help with planning. * Wishlist: Would love to see limited offerings of premium versions of other proteins -- Iberico or Berkshire pork, Mary's pasture-raised chicken, Ora King salmon, bluefin tuna. And spirits (bourbon, rum) would be a fun addition. Overall, a great business and a real value-add to the community. I'll keep coming back - highly recommend checking out!

Unfortunately I've tried a different sandwich on two occasions now and won't be back again. The first time I got a build your own sandwich ($14) with pastrami. Usually a place either has amazing pastrami or terrible pastrami. I really did not like the pastrami here, it was super chewy which made for an unpleasant experience to the point where I was forcing myself to finish eating it but felt gross after and probably just should have thrown it out. The second time I tried the Del Valle TAB signature sandwich ($16 + $2 tax). For $18 it was incredibly disappointing. It wasn't a nice big sandwich but just a normal size. The bacon was so hard that I had to consciously make sure to eat it slowly otherwise I felt like I was going to break my teeth. And the overall flavor was lacking.
