    Black garlic ramen
    Melissa W.

Delicious ramen in Novato. Always have friendly service here. Have had a few sushi rolls for appetizers that are good. Have also had the unagi don and black garlic ramen here. My parents like the tonkotsu ramen because I think the black garlic oil hurts their stomachs a little. But they do like the flavor of the black garlic ramen! Prices are competitive for ramen in the area. It's in a shopping center so there is always easy parking. There is not a lot of decor inside, but the tables are clean and I've never had to wait for one. Support local businesses!

Not many seating for groups of 4, mostly 2 seater. The takoyaki tasted like microwaved and the chicken karage were heavy floured. The ramen was so so, was hoping the broth could be more flavorful. We wanted some Asian food after a few burger meals.

The black sesame tonkotsu ramen was delicious. The snow dragon roll was also flavorful but was a little lite on the crab filling. Interior was very clean and nicely laid out. Service was prompt and courteous.

We decided to try Yosumi ramen whilst passing through town. They've been open for 6 months so I think they are still finding their feet in some areas. Service was friendly and helpful, though they could use a few small improvements. When we got seated we weren't offered water. We ordered gyoza we weren't given share plates. When we asked for these our server was prompt in bringing these out so likely it's just a learning curve for him. The ramen was decently priced at $14.99 a bowl. We ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and garlic tonkotsu ramen. Both came out quickly. The garlic ramen broth was a little bland but the noodles were good (not soggy) and egg was nicely cooked. The spicy ramen broth was very hot (7/10) and we were expecting 4/10. If you do order that, ask about the spice level beforehand. The pork gyoza had a good flavor. The hot sake was great value at $7. Overall a good experience.

I was thrilled to see the signage for Yosumi Ramen awhile back and was excited to hear that they were finally open. I had dinner with my husband and it was packed! There are mostly small tables for parties of two and only a couple large tables because of the size of the restaurant. They have a big menu with plenty of ramen and sushi options. We decided to order the chicken karage for our appetizer. It comes with five good sized pieces and a dipping sauce. The chicken was pipping hot and cooked perfectly. We wanted to try the sushi and ramen so I ordered the combo meal which comes with sushi, ramen and a drink. I got the regular tonkatsu ramen, the tempura roll, and a regular ramuden drink. The ramen came with a soft boil eggs, fish cakes, bamboo shoots, and a seaweed sheet for presentation. The broth wasn't salty. All of it was delicious and at a great price point. The service was friendly. It's great they're open late since many restaurants in Marin close early. I'll definitely come back.

    Ramen drink and sushi deal

So nice to see Novato finally getting a ramen place. The restaurant has a very casual, almost fast food atmosphere. There's choices of pork, chicken and veggie ramens. There's also sushi and other small dishes. We tried the sushi, ramen and drink special for $26, which is a good deal now days. I got the black garlic oil pork ramen and the garlic oil made it very flavorful. But it did lack some of the veggies I've had in most ramen places that add flavor such as mushrooms or greens like kale etc. instead they have bamboo shoots and corn. But the broth is the most important part and the broth here is very tasty. I took the rest of my ramen home and added veggies. Lol. We also got 2 of the sushi's you could get in the combo (not the chefs specials) the shrimp tempura roll and spider roll. They were fine, kind of tasted similar to one another. All in all, glad they're here and will go back for more.

Tonkatsu ramen - my new favorite in Novato!

Another fabulous restaurant from Pearl's family, which also includes Bacon, Pearl, and what am I leaving out? Our family visited Yosumi last week, and although it says "soft opening" out front they had things pretty nailed down when we dined in. We ordered from the QR code on the table - when we couldn't find hot tea the young man behind the counter said "no worries, we got you", and again, after I realized I forgot to order Dad's ramen they were able to zoom out another order in just a couple of minutes! The noodles were amazing - even though they admit they don't make them on premises I don't remember having any as good since the days of the great ramen shops of SF Japantown. They're already doing a brisk business and my gut tells me this is going to be another real winner both for the family and for the Novato community! Getting Pho and Ramen shops to open the same year? Well done, Novato! Now, if we can only get a Jewish deli and a NY-style pizza place....

Very good Ramen, Chicken Karage, and Shrimp Temura. We had some tea.. The restaurant was clean, and inviting.. The customer service was perfect, everyone was welcoming and efficient..Great new add to Novato I recommend trying it if you like Ramen or sushi..They also have a special where you pick Ramen, sushi, and a beverage. I'll post the menus..

Today was opening day for this ramen restaurant owned by the owners of Sushi Tri, also in Novato. We love Sushi Tri and hope this place does really well. Whereas Sushi Tri feels peaceful and somewhat elegant, this looks more like a fast casual restaurant with bright lights and tv screens showing photos of the various dishes. The walls are adorned with giant illustrations of bowls of ramen. Service was slow with one front of house staff and a couple of chefs in the back. The place was packed on opening day today which was great to see. They have a dozen tables with seating for about 30. The gyoza were very good, crispy exterior and soft interior, flavorful with minced pork and ginger. Six small pieces were a nice start to our meal. Spicy edamame came out warm and had a subtle umami flavor and just the slightest bit of spiciness. The portion was enough for three of us to share as an appetizer. The star of the show is the ramen. The noodles are abundant and just chewy enough. The tonkatsu broth is rich and savory and slightly thick. Prices for ramen are really reasonable. The spicy ramen is very spicy. I'm looking forward to coming back soon, especially when the staff are a little less stretched.

Ordered a takoyaki and salmon philly sushi via phone and picked up in store. The best takoyaki so far, I have ordered takoyaki from different places: some are salty, some are bland, some have too much sauce, or too little filling. The sushi is fresh and delicious. I would love to come back and try their ramen dine in ofcourse.

Spicy chicken ramen combo with Philly sushi roll & Diet Coke

I never knew there was a ramen spot finally in Novato! I came here around 1140, when they just opened. It was pretty slow, but lunch picked up quickly. They have a lot of options, but the one thing that stood out, was their ramen combo! It's a really good deal - you get ramen, a choice of sushi roll, and a drink - all for $26! I got their spicy chicken ramen, Philly roll, and a Diet Coke. The reason I settled for 3 stars, is because the price, the sushi, and the service. The workers were friendly and attentive. The sushi was pretty good and you get 6 pieces! However, the ramen was bland and is not authentic (I already knew it wasn't, but it should've at least had taste). The noodles were cooked good, but even the noodles had no taste. The soup was spicy, but there was no flavor to the spice - it was so odd. I was also not a fan of the chicken breast that was used in the ramen. I don't think I'd come back, but I can agree that the price is worth it. I'd honestly rather spend $22-26 for one bowl of good, authentic ramen.

Spicy Chicken Ramen & Spider Roll
    Chelsie O.

There aren't many ramen places in Novato so me and my coworkers were excited to try this. They have a deal where you can get ramen, sushi, and a drink all for $26. That is a great deal that you don't see often. I will say that the chicken ramen I got didn't have much flavor. I won't be ordering that again but my coworkers all loved their ramen ramen- which was the tonkontsu and black garlic chicken. The service is great, the workers are nice and attentive. The environment is open and mellow. I would come back and order a different ramen bowl.

The fish for nigiri is fresh, there is great variety, and the prices are reasonable--that's the good part--and you'd think that would be good enough: it is not. The bad: their wasabi is crap. It is fall apart grainy, NOT HOT AT ALL and there is little of it on the plate. Every visit we had to ask several times to get enough that equals a normal serving. What's with this, honestly? This last time, the sushi rolls had a shockingly scant amount of rice on the outside--I wish I had taken a photo--as if the kitchen had run out of rice and they were stretching it, or they couldn't get it to stick. I have had better rolls from Whole Foods. The salmon served in the bento box suffered the same problem as previous times: undercooked in the middle. Now for the tamago, the rolled egg omelette: it's served absolutely frigid, rendering it flavorless. As it thaws to room temperature, it becomes a spongey bite. It is very sad that they treat this this minor menu item with disregard. Ambiance: For sitting inside in any of the corner tables, they should provide a small cordless table lamp, especially in the winter time, because lighting is so dim it is difficult to read the menu. The patio outside is delightful for fresh air in the summertime, though it's just a bunch of tables. They need plants, string of lights, something. Kudos to the attentive waitstaff. Still, we wont be back. It's not like we haven't given them a chance, multiple times.
