Hedi and Xavier are the best instructors in the area!! I'm not lying when I say I had 2 left feet when I started with You Can Dance! Zero Experience! I remember coming in nervous, not knowing what to expect, and they made me feel more than comfortable. Hedi and Xavier are what you call true professionals! Always well dressed and presentable, greet you with a smile, and they will guide you in your dancing journey to your pace. They break things down so easily and especially Heidi has a way to break things down to the T where you completely understand the steps. Believe me when I say if I can do it Anyone Can! The truth is, you have to put in the work and be consistent with practicing on your own, and I promise you will succeed! I learned from Heidi and Xavier in 2018 and haven't looked back ever since. I have moved away from the Central Valley area, but I can confidently walk into any dance room and be the great dancer they have molded me to be! Great fun learning to dance and the private lessons are worth it. The real fun is the practice.

My fiancé and I were looking for dance lessons and we found the best place in Modesto to get private lessons. From the start Heidi was the best. She listened to what we wanted and also made great suggestions on the song we chose. She is super professional and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful experience learning how to dance as a couple. Which I am not going to lie learning how to be the follower was tough for me. But Heidi was very patient and would help us remember things by using examples from real life. Also her critique is the positive and encouraging. She always makes sure that you fully get the steps before moving on. The instructors are awesome! So patient. Love Heidi. She is very knowledgable and makes the dance moves easy to learn. Makes the most uncoordinated feel comfortable. I like the punch card system. My husbands schedule is crazy, so I'm never sure when we can make the scheduled classes. With the punchcard, we go when we can. read more

We took a salsa/samba class from this school, and had a great time! Our instructor was fun and personable, and easy to talk to if we didn't understand what she was showing us. They offer all kinds of classes, and varying stages of skill as well. We took dance and choreography lessons for our wedding. This studio was recommended by a friend. On our first visit, it was quite hard to find. It's in a residential area and the house on the main street has no visible entrance. You'll need to enter through the gate to the patio on the side street. Studios are nice, newish, and air-conditioned- key when taking lessons in the summer! Our instructor Gabrielle was professional and fun, and very patience with newbies like my fiancee and I. The one downside is that they have a very strict cancellation policy. I called to cancel at noon for a 7pm lesson one night and we had to cut our lesson to 30 minutes the next time. Xavier was very curt and we were told that we had cancelled at "the last minute." I wouldn't count 7 hours' notice as the last minute, but that's just me. Overall, a good experience and I'd recommend it. Just don't ever get sick without advance notice lol! read more
