    Moving with "you move me" has been the worst experience of my life and a months long dispute. I initially signed up for them based on their good reviews. My initial estimate included an hourly rate, and I was only moving within the SAME building. When I spoke to someone the Monday before my move I confirmed I wanted a full packing and yet that conversation has been "lost" When the two movers came for my two bedroom apartment, they initially moved my furniture and then asked if there was anything else, we said yes everything. They said they weren't told this but they've done this before when the boss has given them misinformation. Over eight hours later, my items had been moved in one giant box just thrown on top of each other. Everything was laid out in piles on the floor, on surfaces etc. There were scissors and knives left in my small 4 month old puppies bed. Spices and kitchen supplies were mixed with laundry detergents. I have never in my life seen destruction like this before. After 8 hours and $1800 later, they left. I moved from boston to Charlotte with a full packing and unpacking and this only cost me $3000 yet moving floors with an elevator and no service cost me $1800 I tried speaking with the owner several times who offered for them to box my stuff. How can you box stuff that has been thrown everywhere and completely mixed up? If you were moving in an organized way you could unpack one box at a time, but to unpack a disaster makes no sense I have been disputing this for months now, and the owner seems to have lost all conversations of me saying I wanted a full packing. Yet I was standing in Trader Joe's when I was on the phone and know exactly when and where this conversation was held. He says I got the services I was offered. I tell you, I have legitimately never seen anything like this in my life. I beg of you not to trust this company. This has been a months long headache and it is still going on. Ask yourself, would you pay $1800 for a nightmare?

    You Move Me was recommended by a co-worker. We got three bids for our move . . . YMM was in the middle of the pack. Curtis came to the house, went through all logistics, very polite! Because of the recommendation, we waited five days for an estimate because Curtis was on vacation. We chose YMM. We were scheduled for a four man move. We got 5, two of them were in training. It took two trainees (both of them) 2 hours to take apart our bed frame. WHAT!! Eight screws!! The rest of the crew thought that was pretty funny! Who is paying this bill by the hour? We had to have two trucks to move our things. When the first truck was full and went to pull out of the driveway, our bed frame and dresser mirror was leaning on the truck. The driver pulled out of the driveway and needless to say, the bed frame and mirror crached to the ground. Dents and scratches in the walls, left things in the garage, scratches and dings to almost every piece of furniture we have. $350 to store our things in their truck overnight in their secure locked up facility. Then the move-in - They put the same guy (Only one this time) on bed detail!! Another two hours to put the bed frame back together. At $206 per hour, I had to say something. Again, they seemed to think this was pretty funny. I asked if they put him there to keep him out of their way. We have no idea what he did, but we had to take the headboard and the footboard off the frame because they moved so bad. We have a very large presidents desk in our office. They put a scratch on the top of it right in the middle of the desk. Colored it with a marker and said "The excess will wipe off and you will never notice the scratch" - - wrong! It is very obvious! Our very large mirror was put on the dining room table before they left. I went to hang the mirror on the wall a couple days after the move and low and behold, there was about three inch gash on the table top, along with two other smaller scratches. A picture frame came apart. Glass, picture, frame were stuffed in a back closet in the basement. Well . . . I found it! This is also where I found another piece of the baby bed. Now I just have to find the rest of the bed. All in All, the move took quite a bit longer than anticipated. I had moved about half the boxes across town to the new place prior to moving day thinking i could save time. NOPE Moving is stressful, and your mover is suppose to be the one who takes some of the burdens away for you. We have moved several times with my husband's company so we know the professionalism of movers. This company is definitly NOT professional. A courtesy call asking about the move never happened. Maybe I should have paid my bill after damage control!! As for a star rating, I would not even give a star. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT USING YOU MOVE ME, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT IT.

    Let's start out by saying that moving is the worst. It just is. Doesn't matter if you're going up the block or over a few states, it sucks. You Move Me Charlotte makes it much much more tolerable. Curtis and Kimi moved me last Friday - I am still completely thankful and impressed. They were amazing! I will call this company each and every time - and recommend them to everyone. My 3rd floor apartment flooded two weeks ago, and You Move Me came to the rescue. I finally found a new apartment as mine was too water damaged to move back into it after spending 2 weeks in a hotel. I submitted an inquiry on their website, and within 3 hours, Curtis called me to see if they would be a good fit. We went over the number of boxes, furniture pieces, and details of the new apartment. Curtis was so friendly and courteous on the phone. He explained that as a company they focus on moving people, and not just their boxes. He also asked me how I liked my coffee. I was impressed right from the start, and he quoted me $350 lower than other moving companies. Between my inquiry and moving day, Curtis called me 3 or 4 times to see how I was doing and to make sure my move was still on track. I got Curtis and Kimi for 5 hours, and they were incredible. I was moving out of my 3rd floor, down the block to another 3rd floor apartment. On moving day, they called me exactly when they said they would call, and showed up on time, with my Starbucks coffee in hand. Honestly, my apartment steps are pretty beastly, and they didn't complain once. So sweet, friendly, and even took things out of my hands as I started moving things. My second bedroom is used as an art room, so I had a lot of loose canvases that don't wrap up well. They took such care with every item, and kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing ok. They also checked with me as they unloaded the truck to make sure they were putting things in the right place, even the couch at the right angle. We're talking like following me around with things in their arms, to make sure it went in the right room. I loved it. As Kimi was settling out the bill with me, Curtis walked in with a "welcome home plant"! I'm in love. I'll hire these guys every time I have to move anything. Oh! Also, my total bill - including tip - came out to $20 UNDER their quote!

    Very clean moving truck which assured me that our stuff was well taken care of!

    This was our first time using a moving company so we were very intentional with who we chose as we…read moredidn't want anything to go missing or broken. We did a ton of research and decided on Reign as it was more expensive than other options so we figured would be higher quality. They also had all 5 star reviews so we figured it would be the best. We are now wondering why this is. They are definitely more expensive. They charge more per hour and they also charge a $350 'truck fee' that no one else charges from quotes we got. We were charged over $1700 for 5 hours. What we liked- - It was easy to schedule and they had our date available a few weeks out. They offered to set up a FaceTime to look at our items and make sure they sent out the appropriate number of trucks. - They gave us an hour window of when they would show up, and an update the morning of so we knew when to expect them. - They were nice and made sure they knew exactly what we wanted. We did one last walk through of the old place before we left. They made sure we were happy before they left the new place. We had 3 movers who were kind and seemed trustworthy. - They listened to the writing on the boxes of where to put the boxes in the new house and if it didn't have writing, they put it in the equivalent room in the new house of where they found it in the old house. - They were careful with our things and were able to unassemble and reassemble our pieces. They also wrapped up the furniture items with blankets to preserve them. - They worked quick and efficiently Why we aren't giving them 5 stars: - they stopped at the gas station between the old house and new house and arrived at the new house 30 minutes after us when we were right behind them the whole way up until the gas station. They did ask us if they could stop to get snacks but I didn't realize it would take this long and they did not deduct this from the time they billed us for. - They asked us if we wanted mattress bags for $15 each. I said yes as I figured this would be something we could keep and save for future moves. They did not leave us the bags. So we paid $30 to basically 'rent' 2 bags which I feel we should have been able to keep or not be charged for. Next time I will buy the $15 ones off Amazon that I can keep. - They took a shelf out of our entertainment stand. In the move the nails/pegs fell out. These are specialty nails to hold the shelf in. Now we are unable to use the shelf, and the piece sags without the shelf in. We have since gotten rid of it and gotten a new one. - The top of our desk will not fit properly on when this was never previously an issue and we ultimately can't fix it and will need to get a new one. - They were about to leave and I noticed something was missing so I asked about it and they had to go back on the truck to get it. If I didn't ask, they would've left with it still in the truck. - They did not deliver 2 small decorative pieces of ours that were the last items on the truck- not packed in a box. Which not a huge deal but I noticed shortly after they left, contacted the company, and they were not able to find them. We are completely unpacked and I know these things are not at either of our houses. ** which they did reimburse us for these things which we are thankful for!! Also customer service was very helpful at first when we were trying to find these items and discuss reimbursement, but then it was pretty hard to get ahold of them to confirm our reimbursement agreement and get them paid. It felt like I was tracking them down just to get our reimbursement approved and get them paid. We will likely use a different company next time we move.
