You Move Me is awesome, we had great the crew of four yesterday lead by Brandon. This was our least stressful and best move so far and we've moved 3 times here in the last three years. Brandon was especially very helpful, had a great attitude, was super professional (I couldn't get him to stop calling me ma'am, lol) and knows what he's doing. I was very glad he was there for both the pack and the move, it made every dollar spent well worth it. I'm telling you don't break your backs and waste your time moving yourself. We engaged U Move Me to load a Pod we had delivered to our condo location. The phone conversations were professional and curteous, and the estimate appointment was held as scheduled. On the day of the move, the Pod arrived on time at 8:30 AM and U Move Me arrived right afterwards. We had packed many items ourselves and had purchased boxes and wrapping paper for U Move Me to use, which happened without issue. Brandon, Bradley and Mato went right to work. We had a large number of framed pictures and delicate art work that had to be carefully wrapped in paper before being put into boxes. It was amazing to watch the techniques used by the threesome to pack the pictures, as well as lamps, kitchenware, heavy furniture, etc. Once packaged, the boxes had to be taken down 21 floors and stored in the Pod. Every aspect was handled professionally, with my wife intermittently talking story with the threesome throughout the 4 hour period, which was shorter than we had anticipated. Matt was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so thankful for that. The team that moved us was professional, hard working and happy. Being that we were being charged hourly it was quite refreshing to see guys that still worked very very hard and didn't milk it. The most important aspect of the move for me was that the guys were friendly and happy in their work. A move is so much less stressful when the team is enjoying their work. The team treated our possessions with care and respect. They treated us with respect as well and were constantly interested in making sure that they were doing work to our expectations. The cost overall was more than reasonable, well below their competitors. When our stuff got here last year and was delivered our temporary rental place we used one of the larger local moving companies. Their service was very good. You Move Me though is outstanding. Wow. Truly amazing service from Jon and Gabriel today with our move. The house we moved out from was on hill too steep for most box trucks so a pickup truck was needed to shuttle stuff down the hill to the real moving truck and Jon and Gabriel were not phased. Both gentlemen were extremely polite and had the patience to move at the pace of my older parents while also maintaining efficiency. If your looking for a moving company I'd recommend You Move Me. Used these guys for a big office move. Super friendly staff. Denise, who seems like the office manager, is really accommodating and sweet. We had three crews do three moves and they were are on time and wonderful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a big move, as their hourly rate is reasonable. You move me had such great Yelp reviews, I decided to give them a try. They are pricier than their competition, but worth it. These guys were so polite, friendly and professional. They were such hard workers, dripping in sweat from busting a$$! The condo I was moving into had such a difficult path to my floor/unit, the job took 8 hours. They never stopped for lunch. I told them to take a break but they insisted they wanted to finish the job first. Even towards the end of the day, they didn't slow down. They continued to keep up the high energy and enthusiasm. I ended up using them again when I had to move more furniture out of a unit I was selling. Again, the crew was awesome. So worth the extra bucks. I highly recommend. read more

We had 2 Pods on 2 different days that needed to be loaded. The first crew was Derek, Caleb and their Operations Manager, Francis. The second day we worked with Josh and Francis. We only have the greatest things to say about this company and especially their crew. These young men are so friendly, kind, professional and smart. They don't swear and are very respectful. They problem solve and talk to each other to find the best solution for wrapping and carrying heavy furniture to the precision needed to fit everything into the PODs. They are simply an amazing group of guys. We have moved from city to city on Oahu and used other movers for those moves. What a nightmare those were. Other movers didn't care, there were broken items and the crew was just not friendly. The You Move Me crew took the utmost care in wrapping all items, especially the furniture and my prized Koa rocker. The job that Francis did on my rocker was just outstanding! I could not have done a better job than him. Josh also wrapped many of the furniture pieces. He was mindful of each piece of furniture that had "legs" that needed to be removed. He removed them, wrapped it in bubble wrap and handed it to my husband so the legs wouldn't get lost. Josh also took the legs off of our dining table and placed the hardware into a ziploc bag and again gave it to my husband for safekeeping. Without the hardware it would be tragic to try to put that table back together again. Derek and Caleb were Tetris masters fitting our boxes perfectly like a puzzle. We had complete trust in all of them. We didn't worry about theft or breakage. They also wore their masks during this Covid-19 virus. It was important to us and we were so grateful. They worked so hard and packed the POD tightly so things wouldn't shift in the trip to the mainland. I highly recommend their crew. They are beyond outstanding! read more

My husband and I hired You Move Me to help us move our big furniture items (a bed, a couch, and some bookcases) a short distance from Makiki to Waikiki. The moving crew was kind and helpful, and they were great to work with. However, I was pretty disappointed to find that my final cost was DOUBLE the estimate that we were given. I wanted to leave a good review because the crew was great, but if I had known what my actual total cost was going to be I would have rented a U-Haul and just had some friends come over and help. read more

I'm sort of conflicted. Customer service was awesome and the movers were respectful and so nice. Nothing was damaged and wrapped very carefully. The only thing that bothered me was that I was quoted for two hours and it took four. It was bad on my part that I didn't initially tell them that I wanted an outside basketball pole and backboard moved also however that was the only item not initially on the list. In my case, I got their quote and ended up moving all my small items myself (leaving only biggest furniture for them) so my actual bill was only 1/3 of my quote! I expect moving to go wrong. I don't expect my moving company to disregard what I say, miss my moving window, bleed all over my belongings, scratch the hell out of my furniture, lose pieces of my stuff, and leave the job partially finished, never to be heard from again. When my fiance and I called to schedule an appointment, we stated very clearly that we could only move in between 8 am and noon and that we had a very heavy custom made bed that was difficult to assemble. We were assured it wouldn't be an issue. Sure, the work order says we'll show up between 9 and 11, but we'll definitely be there by 9 am. We stated this again in email, and were again told not to worry. Same story when we confirmed the day before. Lo and behold, the crew didn't even show up at our place until 9:50 am. Keep in mind we need to be moved into our new place by noon and it's a 40 minute drive away. They were also completely unprepared to deal with our bed. In fact, we're currently sleeping on a mattress on the floor while our several thousand dollar bed sits in our old empty apartment? Why? Because one guy couldn't figure out how to take it apart and then the two guys they sent couldn't move it. Oh. And they ran out of time, too. And then they "got lost" on the way to our new place. After having me wait around in a (mostly) empty apartment for a couple of hours, the owner finally told me they wouldn't be able to finish moving the bed that day but he would check his schedule and get back to me that afternoon and let me know when he and his strongest guys could come finish the job. The only reason he got back to me was to collect payment (didn't even offer a discount for the inconvenience) and to try and retrieve copies of the documentation they had lost. Sadly, I only discovered all the damage after I had paid. The movers bled all over all four sides of our freezer, stratched the whole top of our entertainment center from sliding it across the floor of their van upside down, and lost pieces of our water cooler in addition to abandoning our bed. You think the owner ever called back to schedule completion of the job? If you guessed "no," you would be correct. Absolutely terrible company. Seriously, run far, far away. read more

I worked with Kurt and June. They were very fast and courteous acknowledging that they wanted to work quick to save me money. I was pleasantly surprised that this company did not have a minimum charge. I knew my move wouldn't take long so I was dreading a 2-3 hour minimum charge. We moved from town to Kailua yesterday. Brandon, Dimitrius and Jeremy showed up with our complementary Starbucks on time and started to get to work. They helped disassemble our beds and then got all of our boxes out of the condo within 2 hours and then got us move in within another 2 hours. While we didn't have a large move, these guys came ready to work and well prepared. They handled our big ticked items ( 25ft cu fridge and king bed ) very well and with complete care. We went from a large home to a downtown luxury condo, and these guys where very conscientious about our new building, staying low key, got in and out quickly, and worked very well with our concierge staff. Exceeded my expectations! I used You Move Me to move my business from Kapahulu to Kaimuki. The move consisted of moving a few pieces of large apparatus and some furniture. I also needed 5 large 4'x6' mirrors removed from the walls and moved. I spoke extensively to Matt about this and he came by to take a look. He agreed to take on the challenge! So, we scheduled the move. The estimate was given for two movers at an hourly rate. The day of the move the movers called me to ask if they could pick up a coffee for me! I don't drink coffee, but it was a very nice touch. They (Brandon K. and Loma) arrived on time and Matt showed up a bit later. They immediately got to work wrapping up all the apparatus in blankets and shrink-wrap. Matt had spent the weekend watching YouTube videos on how to remove the mirrors, the biggest concern was getting them off the wall without breaking. He had purchased two special tools that he thought would help him. Matt got the first mirror off, no problem, and then just got on a roll and got them all off successfully! He had estimated 4 hours to do it and got it done in less than 2. So everything got loaded and over to the new location, unloaded and unpacked, and in way less time than estimated. In summary: Matt, Brandon and Loma were super nice and had amazing attitudes the whole time. Everything made it in tact, no damages to my stuff or to any walls, etc. The move took way less time than was estimated. The biggest thing I wanted to note is that Matt's work on the mirrors went way over and beyond, I was still only charged for a two-man crew and the effort and attention was excellent!! read more

You move me Was recommended to my by a friend so I was disappointed to have such a crappy experience. You move me left one of my items on their truck and only delivered a part of it. I called the next day to tell them it was missing, spoke with a manager and was told the truck that moved me was in the shop. That was last week. I still have not heard back about my item. Also, although my movers were nice, one of them was on his cell phone for the majority of the move. At one point he was sitting in the back of the truck texting and I had to yell down to ask him to come up and move more things. This move could have been way faster if it wasn't for this kid constantly on his cell phone. Very disappointing experience and definitely will not Be using or recommending to anyone. 8/15- A manager followed up with me shorty after my review with great customer service. Not only did he apologize he sent me a new bike rack of my choice and had it delivered within 2 days to my front door. Good damage control! read more

We decided to use You Move Me based on Yelp reviews. I requested a quote and Matt, the owner, contacted me to explain their pricing, services, and their work procedures. I had gotten quotes and talked with other companies, but other companies time started when they left their company....What? You Move Me does it right and doesn't start their time until they arrive at the pick up location. For our move from Waikiki to Mililani, we were sent movers Joma and Demetri. Both movers were extremely polite and personable. They gave us a call prior to their arrival time and offered to pick us complementary Starbucks. I was disappointed my husband turned it down (who doesn't want coffee, even if I already had coffee in my hands?). They gave us their approximate arrival time and Joma explained their pricing to us that day. They bring moving blankets and even offer commerical plastic wrapping at an affordable prices. I chose to wrap a couple of items like dresser and couch. We had all of our household already packed and also had a storage unit that needed to be emptied. Joma and Demetri were very polite and personable. At the pickup and drop off locations, they asked if they should remove their shoes. I couldn't imagine constantly taking shoes off and putting them back on for a.move, but it was very nice of them to ask. At the end of our move, they even offered their help if we needed assistance rearranging items in our new place. We even got a house warming gift from them. My move had issues, as most moves do. There was damage. My review is not about the damage, it is about office & management customer service. An "I'm sorry" goes a long way. Denise (Office) & Andre (owner) know this. They apologized on each call for each occurrence. They let me give my details & express my hurt feelings. They accepted pictures & apologized. They came to my house to personally meet me, see damage & Apologize in person. I felt fairly treated & compensated. I feel there were training issues w/the movers and feel comfortable that those issues were addressed w/the crew. If I need to move again I will give them consideration. This is a GREAT story of a person making RIGHT. There was a little hiccup at the beginning of one of my two moves with Matt and "You Move Me Honolulu", and as we all know that's life. The Five Star rating comes from how professional Matt handled himself and how far the company went to accommodate any hiccup made. Matt himself (the GM) showed up and moved an entire office with one other person on time and completely professional and refused payment. In this day and age that is a true "satisfactory guaranteed" example, and that is a very rare thing.
