The company was referred to me by a friend and the customer service experience is outstanding! I needed to move to very large and heavy special wall art pieces of framed temple gates along with boxes and miscellaneous items from my office in downtown Honolulu to our home in east Oahu and I began to solicit quotes by contacting several companies to do the job. Lyndsey was my first point of contact who explained the charges and services and their charges were not only the most reasonable, but they took the time to understand the extra care to move the large art pieces. Josh and Iniki arrived early ready to work and began moving the boxes, clearing out my office before packing the wall pieces. They were such professionals who worked with such care for the things they were packing and moving for me. These two wonderful men were polite, professional, prompt, and efficient, a joy to work with, removing any concerns I had about the move. I called You Move Me after reading their reviews on Yelp. Denice sent out Thaddeus to give us an estimate. Both were very understanding of the stress of moving. The estimate was fair, especially when I changed the move date two or three times :). Denice called the day before the move to get our Starbucks order; much appreciated! The morning of the move, Brandon called to let us know they were on their way. Polite and efficient doesn't begin to describe the team. They asked questions on anything they weren't sure. Not only were they done in less than the time estimated, but they took great care of all of our belongings. If I could give them 5 stars and 10 thumbs up, I would. While 30 weeks pregnant with 2 children, my husband and I decided quickly that we needed to move to a larger place. You Move Me was the first place I called for a quote and was really pleased that Brittany was able to schedule our move with just a 2 week notice! The day of the move the company did show up 30 mins late due to issues with the truck but made it up with some coffee for us which I greatly appreciated. The whole move was very smooth! Our movers were very kind and well mannered. None of our walls or doors were damaged, which we were concerned about since we didn't want any more damage fees from our old apartment lol. It took about 3 hours from start to finish to move our 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment from Honolulu to Kapolei. I am so happy that our move was easy and I didn't stress one bit. I was really happy at first with You Move Me. Decent rates, clearly outlined their services, available when I needed them. Then three things happened: (1) They damaged my floors - the movers, whether because of newness or sloppiness, stacked my belonging way too high on a cart and pushed it aggressively over the front door threshhold and something fell off and created gouges in my floors and on the wall. I had just moved in, gotten my walls repainted and the floors were in pristine condition. (2) They claimed they would pay to fix it but after almost three months, no progress on this. I had a contractor lined up to do the work but they balked at the price. They said they would provide alternate estimates but never did. I've called several times to follow up and no replies. (3) They convinced me to use three movers as they claimed it would be quicker and therefore less expensive. Turns out it was more expensive and they didn't even pack my things and I had already moved a significant amount of boxes and furniture. Last time I moved (between the same buildings, so same amount of stairs, elevators, etc), I had two movers, they packed EVERYTHING and it cost LESS than what You Move Me charged. Very unhappy now with the service and the response of the company. read more

Amazing service and efficient. Sent a Yelp message on Wednesday for a move on Saturday. They sent two guys, Brandon and Chris. Brandon called around 10 am ( move scheduled for 12) asking if we would mind them coming early, heck no! Living on the third floor of a walk up they knew it would be a challenge and powered through it. Even having a few extra boxes to pack up those last minute random items. Keeping a relaxed, friendly demeanor throughout the three and a half hour move. Brandon was our primary contact and he ensured everything we needed moved was packed prior to departing the old location. Once at the new location, unloading was quick and efficient, I'm sure the elevator helped. Brandon again ensured everything was there and nothing was damaged before payment was due. Please understand, Matt M. has failed to respond to any of my phone calls, emails or text messages regarding settling on a fair price to accommodate my family since the initial repair was cancelled. I will reach out once more, before the floor repair happens this week. Yes, we can agree on the offered price, but Matt. M needs to respond in some form- The damage is not just "scratches", and I apologize my iPhone doesn't capture the true depth of the gauges caused by the movers. If the damage was just a scratch, we would be able to stay home during the repair. The purpose of my review and complaint with BBB, is to ensure consumers know how we struggled with Matt M. to stay in contact with us over nine months. Nine months to fix our floors, is not acceptable, even with the stain taking some time to get mailed from the mainland. The movers should have protected our investment and theirs. They did not. I have changed my rating, because at the end of this, my floors will be fixed and Matt M. has accepted full responsibility for this. The process is long over due. read more

I made a move from two locations, one from Hawaii Kai plus a stop in the Ala Moana area. The moving team gave me a call prior to arriving so I was able to meet them at the first location. The moving team (3 movers) were very polite and professional. They worked fast in Hawaii Kai then quickly drove over to the second location the Ala Moana. Everything went well. Great job from Denice who helped me over the phone to Jun, Jesse and Jamie who were there helping me move big items from my home to the pods location in Mililani. They only charged me for what they used and in the case where I had bought the supply already (cheaper), they used that first! I had several big items to move and they charged for two men by the hour. It was raining when they came so they wrapped up my stuff really good to prevent them from getting wet. They made the move less stressful and who needs more stress when your moving?!? Move was satisfactory, but was overcharged in my opinion. When move out was complete and time to go to the storage facility. I left first in my car expecting movers to follow immediately. They failed to do so and took almost half an hour for a 5 minute drive. I brought this to the attention of office staff, suggesting a $75 refund on a $159 hourly rate. What a team! I changed the move date on them a bunch of times due to neighborhood roadwork, and they were so patient (and funny) every time. Went with their recommendation of 5 guys x 2 trucks, and was amazed by the non-stop hustle. We were moving 1.5 families' worth of stuff from a house with awkward access around a garage, to a house up an enclosed flight of stairs. Our movers, Jayden and Nainoa, were both so friendly and very accommodating to the specific requests made by my building manager. These two amazing guys carried and fit our couch up five flights of stairs! They used moving pads to protect the stairwell railings and got it in our apartment quickly. I scheduled my move from Moanalua to Hickam AFB. The morning of the move, the 2 gentleman called me to verify our move time and also asked if I wanted some Starbucks coffee upon their arrival. The two moving guys came at least 30 minutes earlier than our scheduled time. They were super warm and personable, very professional and super quick. Upon their arrival to my new residence, they moved everything exactly where I wanted them. They cleaned up their mess and were so happy to help me. We didn't encounter any issues with getting onto the installation, if anything they were very familiar with the process. They even honor and provide a military discount!!!! My initial quote was around $500 but due to their diligent moving, my final price was just under $400. (I also recommend using Bungo Boxes to expedite moving, see my review) My roommates used them the following week to move their belongings and according to them, their move went just as smoothly. read more

I purchased a gorgeous leather sofa and matching chair from a private seller in Kaneohe from Facebook Marketplace. It was so easy to get a quote and schedule a day and time. Two fellas wrapped the furniture pieces and brought them to my home in Kailua; no issues, no scratches on the leather and all in an hour on Sunday morning. I have a few properties that I rent and so I often use moving company's on Oahu. I just discovered this business recently when I needed to move an evicted tenants belongings to a storage unit (legally I have to store their belongings for a month so they can reclaim it ) It was a last minute move and a tricky one considering that my older house had two flights of stairs and very narrow hallways/corridors. The tenant was an absolute nightmare in the building and upset the entire neighborhood. I had such a negative experience with the entire situation that I just wanted to throw money at the situation and forget about it... but I was low on cash for a move like this and I needed it to happen immediately. You Move Me's schedule was extremely busy but their manager Jacob assured me that they would find a way to make my deadlines. Not only did they get everything moved on time but their pricing was the best I've seen in sometime. I will definitely use them again in the future. What I appreciate most is the company's high standards for customer service. They were prompt in their responses and clear in their communication about every step of their moving process. They gave me some simple moving tips that could save me money and actually referred me to a cheaper storage unit in my area. We moved twice in 2022. Our first moving experience with You Move Me in Jan 2022 was wonderful. Friendly, courteous crew who handled our belongings with care. We did not hesitate calling on You Move Me again 3 weeks ago. The moment the Dec crew walked into the house, I sensed a very different vibe. They were all business, not friendly, did not introduce themselves. I do not know any of their names. It matters who the individuals are who make up the team. The December team did not put any effort into wrapping & protecting our furniture. It wasn't until the next day that I saw the deep cuts in the arms of our living room chair. One of the bins was not tightly wrapped & as a result the items in it fell out and one item was shattered. The first team wrapped all of our loose items in the house before carrying them out to the truck. This gave us the opportunity to observe what they were doing. The Dec team hurriedly carried everything out to the truck & I'm guessing that's where they stretch wrapped any items. The point is I did not actually see how carefully or haphazardly our belongings were wrapped. I observed the lead person of the team, throw down 2 stacked boxes with force onto our front porch. One of the other movers made a comment that implied that this behavior has occurred on other past jobs. My husband observed the same lead person carry boxes over the railing giving him less control. I presume that this was a shortcut to speed up the move and possibly to avoid walking up the 4 steps to the front door. To be honest, fatigue was a key variable. This team arrived one & a half hours late because there were delays on their previous job. They looked tired & disgruntled when they first arrived. When the last item was moved into the house, it was 7:00 pm. It was a long day for the hard working movers on the team. But to show your exhaustion, frustration and impatience is not professional. This experience has taught me to schedule any future move in the morning. It was the lead person of the team that we gave a generous cash tip. I refer to this individual as the lead because I don't know his name and he accepted the tip. He did not, however, demonstrate qualities of a leader. read more

Unbelievable. Here is the job I requested. I needed a couch moved from Kahala to Hawaii Kai. A real simple, quick, an easy job. About 20 ft to the truck, a few miles down the road, and about 60 ft to its destination. No stairs. Probably 45 minutes tops. They quoted me at $231. As the sales rep explained the charges I knew she and the company were full of **** so I called a LOCAL company and they quoted me at $80. This quote was 3X the VERY NEXT call that I made. No excuses. Whether it be the rep on the phone or the companies calculation system...they lack integrity somewhere. Will never use this company and will always advise against them. --------------------------------------------- EDIT: In response to the Manager below. It's a matter of being ethical with your pricing. The price I was quoted was not just your 1 hour minimum (as you know.) There was a bogus and significant charge on top of the 1-hour minimum charge. If you can clarify how that quote was calculated and break it down then I will revise my post. But if not, then you've done nothing but offer some polite language that merely dances around my complaint, and it only supports my case. Again - the issue is that my quote was NOT a 1-hour quote. It was inflated considerably. The representative even said on the phone that the 1-hour minimum charge was approximately $130 of the total quote. So can you explain the additional $100? That is what I'm calling into question. There would be no negative review for your company if I was quoted only the 1-hour minimum charge. read more

It was all around a pretty great service. Unfortunately, there was some damage done to one of my items that was from my mother. The guys where sincere and apologetic about it. I saw how it happened and it was truly and accident. They where sweet to give my husband and I a discount on the move which we appreciated. We would recommend this company to our friends and family, if they are ever in the need to move! P.S. They did forget our plants at our old apartment, so just double check what all you need moved. It wasn't that big of a deal but it was something that we had to go back to get. We were looking for a way to move a 5-person big jacuzzi (750lbs!!) we got from Costco to our backyard. Since there was no easy direct path from our driveway to our backyard, we were not so sure how we could do it. Crane was really costly. Our neighbor kindly offered to remove the fence partially so it can be carried through their yard to our backyard. Then we found this company. So lucky to find professionals handling this!! Very happy with the quote Thaddeus gave us, too. He was also very responsive to all my emails. My husband was at home when they worked on this, and he said they did an excellent work. 10 stars!! After posting my review I was contacted by the manager of YouMoveMe. He was very honest and down to earth and told me he'd not been informed about the damage done to my rental condo. Since I'd already paid for the repair he offered to reimburse me for the damage. I received a check in the mail yesterday and my faith in this business has been restored. It is unusual for a company to care after they've been paid. As I'd used this company 2x I would recommend them. Just make sure you supervise the move and if damage occurs ask to speak to the manager. I thought I was talking to the manager when I reported the damage but sounds like I wasn't. We were so impressed from the very beginning with Lyndsey and her friendly greeting. She was quick to respond to our quote request and knew exactly what we needed. Jacob was also very friendly and explained what would happen on the day of the move and even went out of his way to talk to security to make sure where the truck could park. What service! I used You Move Me Honolulu a couple months ago and have been meaning to write a review. The team was fabulous!! We moved from Kapolei to Kaimuki and had a TON of stuff. We had a 2-story house and 2 storage units up the street. I had never used a moving company before and called a few different companies a week before our move...big mistake, most were already booked up. I learned that end of the month books up way in advance. You Move Me had a slot open and we took it. They didn't know if they'd have 2 trucks available and thought they'd only have 3 guys, but they adjusted their schedules and made it happen. Can't thank them enough for that! The crew arrived on time on Saturday with 2 trucks and 4 guys. They got moving the second they arrived and didn't stop for 9 hours!!! I had to ask them to take a break a couple times because I felt they were working too hard. They were extremely polite and made sure to ask us if we wanted items wrapped or not. They took extreme care with all of our furniture and we didn't have any major mishaps. We had a few large pieces and they moved them effortlessly. The trucks were filled to the brim and it was amazing how the guys packed the trucks to fit everything, it was like watching a game of tetris. The home we were moving into didn't have sidewalks outside yet because it was still under construction, the crew carried items across mounds of dirt to get to the exterior stairs! I felt horrible for them but they never complained. I read some other reviews before booking them and felt that some reviews were very petty. I read that a mover didn't bring water and asked for a glass of water and the reviewer made a huge deal about having to go out to grab bottled water. I kind of understand the inconvenience but come on, these guys are working their butts off. I made sure to have a cooler full of waters and sodas for them because I knew our job would be big. They showed up with all their own coolers and waters and they were extremely grateful that we had some for them as well. Notes to make your move successful: Make sure everything is packed, these guys move fast! Make sure to mark everything clearly so items don't end up in the wrong rooms. I used this company in Nov 2022. I am blind, and the owner assured me the move would be smooth. on moving day, 3 men came and were very polite. However, after they left, my neighbors came over to say goodbye. they found a forgotten suitcase in the bedroom, in the middle of the floor. Bathroom items in the bathroom. after the move, I thought I was missing items, but as I am blind, I thought they were in boxes yet unpacked. my prior landlord emailed me a picture of 3 boxes one suitcase and a tub of cleaning supplies that the movers left in the open garage, which also gave access to the public to the building garage. she brought the items to her office. when I called the manager, he said the movers assured him the van was emptied. then i sent him the email from the prior landlord. he called back saying they could pick up the items from the landlord. it took them a week. I was only reimbursed 65 dollars. I lost a london fog trenchcoat, a large tub of cleaning supplies, and many misc items. I don't recommend this company. my prior landlord and many local folks also would not recommend them at all. shame on them for lying saying all was moved when clearly many items were left in the open I am sure the public had fun sorting my belongings for their use. read more
