I thought a computer repair shop would be the place to find one. I just moved into the neighborhood and found this shop on yelp. They couldn't have been nicer helping me find just what I needed. If I need my computers repaired this is the place I will go and they make house calls.

Prior to leaving for college my laptop had been extremely slow and at some points unresponsive with…read morea windows blue screen (I had assumed my hard drive was busted but didn't have an extra computer or equipment to check or do work). My initial phone call before coming in I was told they would guarantee diagnose the issue for a $45 fee, and no additional servicing was required after the diagnosis. I show up to the store promptly after and talk to the nice guys over there and I'm told they will get back to me on the issue within a day or two, and they did. A day or two later I was told there was nothing wrong with my drive and my computer did boot (which I already knew it booted but was absurdly slow). But I am told they ran tests on my drive and nothing came up and they came to the conclusion that my windows was corrupt and I simply needed to reinstall. I felt so relieved that I didn't have to worry about installing a new drive, so I procrastinated picking it up and I guess waited too long as I came home and reinstalled windows two times and wiped my drive as well, still to have my computer crash every so often and run super slow I paid a $45 diagnosis fee for something I had already thought to be true but wanted to make sure was correct, but instead was given little info on what they had done other than booted the computer and "tested the drive". I have not checked for bad sectors on the last drive, but I can assume that they ran no in-depth tests and instead just saw it boot and blue screen to tell me that windows was corrupted. TLDR: thought my hard drive was broken, but went to shop for reassurance, was told my hard drive was completely intact and I should just reinstall windows, then paid $45 for essentially the completely wrong diagnosis.

Picked up my laptop, tried to come to some sort of understanding, due to all his mistakes and he kicked me out of his store. A better approach would have been to not take on jobs that are beyond their skill level. Honestly, incredibly rude, even from the beginning. Will never use him, and will never recommend him... If you need anything beyond a virus removal, look somewhere else. Oh, and back up your files before ANY sort of service if you come here. If your entire drive is lost during any other service, it will be YOUR fault for not backing up your files :)

That afternoon, Richard was standing in my living room discussing my options. I would have to have a new wall mount. Richard helped me pick one out at Amazon. The TV wall-mount was due to arrive on Wednesday, and we agreed for his return on Thursday to hang the TV. Come Thursday, Richard arrived on time and began the process. Being an Engineer, I watch; fascinated with the meticulous detail he used. First, he placed a squared section of plywood to two studs as support for the wall-mount. Richard been securing the mount to the plywood - constantly checking if it was level. Once the wall-mount was secure, Richard attached the TV. Then he removed his tools and cleaned the work area. First, Richard price was so reasonable and fair. The purchase price was exactly Richard's estimate. Secondly, I had a problem with my TV sound. He helped correct the problem - for free.
