Disclaimer: I had a family member in a nearby hospital and only used the facility as a guest on three day pass. I don't know anything about what they charge but one piece of advice I could give you is, always put it on a credit card (not debit) if you need to dispute an unwarranted charge. Actual review: I've been to this Youfit before and remember it completely different. What used to be packed and waiting for gym equipment is almost non existent now. It could be because of the time of day and the actual day. I went and did a three day pass on Sunday at 1 pm for reference. I was able to work out on the cable machines and free weights without any issues. Although I am used to going to smaller gyms because of the crowds, I was able to do everything I wanted and then some without bother. Same thing goes for today (Tuesday) at 2 pm, where I had no issues using any gym equipment. Bathrooms are well kept (to my standards) and they have AstroTurf with a heavy bag for those that box. I've been working out since 2019 and it doesn't bother me when there are handles and miscellaneous dumbbells on the floor. You're going to find that everywhere you go. Place more importance on getting in, doing your workout and getting out for a convenient price and location, while still staying conscious of price. Would I go here again? Yes. read more

I just canceled my membership at YouFit and I honestly wish I had done it sooner. This gym has been a consistent source of frustration for over six months now. I chose this location because of its proximity to my home and what looked like a decent selection of equipment, especially stair machines, which are key to my workouts. But once I became a member, the reality was a completely different story. Let's start with the equipment: The stair machines are constantly broken. During busy hours, you are lucky if even half of them are working, and good luck getting a turn. They only have a couple of rowing machines, and one of them has been missing both foot straps for months. Still not fixed. Yes, they have four squat racks and two Smith machines, which is actually pretty good for a gym, but they barely have enough weights to actually use them. I have had to walk around looking for plates or literally take turns using the same weights with the person on the rack next to me. Facility issues? Plenty: The water fountain has been dispensing warm water since I started my membership, and it still has not been fixed. The bathroom sink water has been boiling hot and unusable, and despite telling the staff multiple times, it was ignored for weeks. And then there is the staff. Not all of them, but most of the ones I have dealt with have been careless at best and rude or aggressive at worst. I have submitted multiple complaints about the gym in person, over the phone, through email, and even via feedback surveys, and not once have I received a response. Not one. To cancel my membership, I had to wait 40 minutes on the phone, only to be passed along to the accounting department, who were predictably rude and completely unwilling to work with me. It felt like they could not wait to get me off the phone. Also, a quick note about the photos here on Yelp -- I am not sure where they were taken, but most of them definitely do not reflect what this gym actually looks like. It is not that clean, organized, or nice in real life. There are many other details I could include, like the fact their online portal doesn't work; you create an account but cannot use it for anything because the portal isn't working. They also don't change the clocks on the wall for daylight saving time, organize any of the equipment throughout the day, etc etc etc..... I just wanted to at least give a taste of some of the issues going on. This gym talks a big game during the tour, promising well-maintained equipment, responsive staff, and a good environment, but once you sign up, you are on your own. The maintenance is poor, the service is worse, and the overall experience has been a huge disappointment. If you are looking for a gym in Miami, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

This YouFit raises membership rates without notificaiton and has lots of broken machinery and women's locker room always has girls posing for selfies (against policy). But the worst thing is they try to make you come in person to cancel (inconvenient if you've moved away)!!! and charge you to freeze your membership. You can get around it going in person if you get the number for customer service corporate, but they charge you for a full month if you don't call to cancel more than 10 days before your monthly charge and then they charge you a stupid $10 fee for the pleasure of canceling your membership. Look up YouFit on the Better Business Bureau website and you'll see that they have a BBB Rating of D-. They removed machines treadmills and valuable space for the real members. Advice Don't try to be like all the others in your area yes you You fit on 70th and Coral Way there are 10 REAL personal training locations within 1 mile radius of you!! I just helped my mother join YouFit because her Medicare has SilverSneakers that she can use and I already had a bad impression on the general manager's poor attitude. I'm sure the gym is great, but the GM who helped my mom sign up had a poor attitude. Now English is not my mother's native language and so I have to translate from time to time. But when she was showing us around the gym, I told her she wants to utilize a few equipments and the GM said "Well, that's really not what she wants, I just it's just a language barrier. So why does your mom wants to join if she hasn't been exercising?" I was like "Well, she just started Medicare and wanted to utilize the SilverSneakers benefits." She shrugged. Honestly, I'm surprising myself by giving Youfit four stars. I've now been a few times because my husband has a membership via ClassPass and can bring a guest for free. Truth be told, I'm a gym snob and wouldn't make this Youfit my sole gym, but for the price you pay, I was rather impressed. Membership is cheap (between $10 - $20 monthly depending on the type you get) and it seems like they have ongoing "specials." For that, you get access to classes they offer throughout the day, the equipment, and can bring a guest for free whenever you want. I've been early in the morning around 6:30 am and during lunchtime. Early morning is definitely the time to go because machines are readily available and it feels rather chill. They have a good amount of weight machines as well as cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, and stairmasters. I also enjoy the open layout of the space, so it never feels crowded. The green and purple color scheme? Maybe not so much. When it comes to things like cleanliness and overall amenities, I'm not sure that's what Youfit's strength is. You should definitely bring your own towel and show some courtesy by wiping off equipment after use (although I haven't seen a ton of people doing so). All in all, I think Youfit fits the bill if you have your own workout regimen and just need the machines and equipment to help you. I wouldn't commit to making this my daily go-to but like I said, it suffices for the price you pay. Parking is readily available in the large lot shared with BJ's and the Dollar Tree. This is the first gym I went to when I came back from NJ. THE NEGATIVES. (Don't like to say them ). Thee are several staff there that are not so much into Customer service. This particular staff member always looks mean and never greats the customers. POSITIVE: the cleaning people are very nice , the place is clean, they always have paper towels and sanitizers. ( than again I'm OCD about germs ). They got A BJ, booze place, a a dollar tree ( my fav) and plenty of parking. Talk to the "manager" at the Coral Way location. After a lengthy sales pitch, he charges us $10 each to cancel 2 memberships on July 1. This is my favorite gym to workout in. The trainers and staff are friendly and always helpful. The bathrooms, weights area, cardio machines are always clean. There's other youfits where the weights will be all over the place and there's garbage on the floor but not here. We usually come around 2-4 because that's when it's empty. Gym is fine for your basic workouts but they don't explain anything to you when signing up. When I originally signed up I wanted the $10 plan because I only plan on going to this location, don't need the thrills, and wanted just something where I can go to the gym at my pace without pressure of high bills. The guy who sold me the membership told me that I had to sign up with a higher plan and downgrade to the $10 plan a week later. I proceeded to do so and when I spoke to another gentleman a week later I was told that the $10 plan was only available after being on the higher plan for three months. I proceeded to wait another couple months and was charged almost 4 times my initial fee for a membership fee that I was never told. I called once again to find out about the membership fee and the guy at the front desk was nice to apologize but offered no solution other than this is just the membership fee and I'm sorry you were told that. To make matters even worse when I when I was told this I asked to downgrade to the $10 plan I was told you have to go in person, pay a $10 fee to downgrade the plan, and it was no longer $10 but 16. Crooks!!!! Do not sign with this company.....They are refusing to allow me to cancel my membership with out providing them DETAILED doctors letter stating why. If you try to say you moved they will not allow you to unless there is no youfit within 10 miles. I froze my account to allow me time to get my doctors note and the that charge was suppose to be $5 however they added a service charge and charged me $25. Each month I was charged a different price never the 33.95 I signed up for. I was even charged twice in one month and I am still waiting on my refund for their mistake. I will be disputing both charges and reaching out to BBB. Keep in mind that it is against the HIPAA law for these crooks to reach out to your doctor as they state they will. I spoke to a lawyer and he stated that while I do need to provide a doctors, they DO NOT have the right to reach out to my doctor or questions my condition. Decided to check this place out with some friends. Let me first say that this is the first and only time I have been to Youfit. I'm an LA Fitness member. This health club is very different than what I am use to at LA Fitness. The colors are very bright ... at first it was interesting but then I kinda got tired of looking at the purple and lime green. Reminded me of Barney. This location is pretty big. But the layout, I felt, was a little confusing. I was thankful for the people I went with because they knew their way around. I didn't feel like the machines were grouped together by type or muscle group, but maybe that's just me. It was packed and we came around 9pm on a weeknight. I didn't like that too much. It was very crowded and seemed like we were waiting a lot but that can happen anywhere. I did not like how there were barely any free weights. I mean, there was like 3 pairs. There wasn't really a section where I could stretch if I wanted to. I would really recommend updating the free weight section. Other than that it was just "ok" not terrible. Ladies read before you sign up. First of all the thigh machines are facing the entire gym so everyone from downstairs & upstairs gets a front view shot of you opening & closing your legs on the machine which Is very uncomfortable. Secondly, the management (unless your signing up as a new customer is rude!) I was in a car accident in which I couldn't physically come in to put a hold on my Acct so i called them to explain the situation. My doctor couldn't fax the note stating that I could not work out (because they don't have a fax machine) so My doctors office Mailed the letter but Management (Nate specifically) stated that it wasn't within the ten days, so they charged me anyways. Note that he said that he didn't know when the letter came in because he had off. The accident was over a month ago yet they did not wish to accommodate me in anyway. So now instead of just putting a hold on my account, I'm canceling it entirely. If they are not understanding of their clients then they simply don't care, bottom line. They refused to refund me for those three months the gym was closed and they kept charging me and said what they could do was stop charging me for the next three months to make it up to me. Giving this location (and YouFit in general) 1 star because the system doesn't allow me to give it 0. I'm very disappointed with this gym and its hidden fees. I paid $20 a month to come to a dirty gym that's always packed and the old men make you feel uncomfortable. I would not recommend this location and would very much NOT recommend YouFit to anyone who 1) hates hidden fees 2) has no time to go in and cancel the membership in person 3) has no time to write and notarize a letter. Not only did the employees have me sign a contract WITHOUT telling me about a $42 annual fee and $10 cancellation fee, but when I called to ask why I was being charged the $42 without prior notice, the employee (who barely spoke english) was rude and misinformed and said there was absolutely nothing I could do because I had signed a contract. When I asked how I could cancel my membership since I haven't used it in over 2 months, she said there was no other way but to come in and cancel it in person (this, however, was untrue since I later on found out you can mail a notarized letter to YouFit canceling). Worst part is that YouFit doesn't even have a customer service line, instead, when you call their 1800 number, they pass you around from branch to branch until someone figures out a way to "help" you.
