I give this YouFit 4 out of 5 cause honestly it's one of the best in town. They've recently upgraded and got new free weight machines and squat racks which is awesome. They're always stalked with paper towels and cleaning supplies. Which really makes the diff. I always see ppl cleaning the machines. It never gets packed like if you have to wait for the machine you want your the only one waiting, there isn't a line to use the machine like at other gyms. The staff are always super friendly and nice!!! Like 9 out of 10 will always greet you with a smile and at least act like they remember you. read more

Update (9.26.26) DO NOT get a membership here. My experience with Youfit has been one of, if not the worst, customer service experience I have ever had. After 2 years of back and forth and being told "this would be handled" I received a call from a law office regarding a collections payment & threatening my credit score. A collections payment that shouldn't exist due to in their own words the "negligence" of a manager at the location I cancelled my member ship at. To summarize, I canceled my membership when their location randomly decided to close a few short months after opening. The manager that was "handling it" did not unbeknownst to me. So I was confused when I kept receiving charges from Youfit. I blocked the payments, called an open location and spoke to a manager you said "they would handle" after making me jump through hoops to do so. YET AGAIN, a year later I am in the same position but with threats from a law office. I called again and after 3 weeks of communication and being told "it would be handled" what was the result: "You have to pay the fee or it's gonna effect your credit score starting tomorrow." Almost, like despite my calls and messages for the few weeks leading up to that conversation I was suppose to receive a call back and each time I called the manager was "busy." Only to be able to speak with me the day before it starts effecting my credit, like forcing my hand to make a payment on an account that was suppose to be closed but was not. Update (9.19.24) So after going back and forth with their team for a little over a year about their manager not canceling my member ship as requested (followed all the instructions he gave me) at their location that closed down on West Pensacola St. I have been informed that they can't do anything since it was sent to collections and because the incident happened to long ago. REALLY!!!! The reason this even started is because your manager at the location I canceled my membership at "dropped the ball," their own managers words when I first called to complain. I contacted you once this was discovered because I randomly started getting calls from a collection agency. Nice facilities, awful, I repeat, AWFUL management. Save yourself the headache. The cheap membership isn't worth it if your serious about fitness If you're reading this review, make sure to take not of how they do not engage with negative views. It's not because all of them are invalid complaints, it's more so that the management staff is either not given the tools or competent enough to actually solve the issue. I did not want to write a 1 star review; however, they have been extremely disappointing with assisting in my membership cancelation. I signed up with my fiancé a year or so ago at their Pensacola location. After a year of enjoying the gym, I would come to find out my location would be closing. They were offering easy cancelation for the inconvenience, and after speaking with the manager and following their instructions it appeared it was a done deal. For additional context I also closed the card that was on file. However months later I received a call from a collections agency stating that I owed them money! But how I closed my account. After speaking to manager at this location, I was informed that the manager of the Pensacola location had "dropped the ball" and did not do several tasks they were suppose to complete when exiting the company. I was expecting since it was on their end that it would be an easy fix, but I was unfortunately incorrect. I had to supply proof of my cancelation email, among other details. After providing that information I was told that they would work on resolving this issue. It has now been several months later and I'm still receiving calls from collection agency regarding this bill. The frustrating part is I worked for youfit several years ago, and I'm not sure what changed, but the focus on customers service and hospitality is levels below what it was as this would have been an easy fix by manager when I was employed there. read more

I like it here. Very relaxed atmosphere, variety of age groups, some hours of the day there sre few people working out, after work hours of course more crowded. There are a mix of classes, at variable hours. i am so pleased with the help my trainer Wyatt gives me! It's a gym. read more

I have been visiting this location for 4 years now and within the past year it has improved tremendously. The equipment has been updated and for the most part stays clean. There is no way to cancel my membership. There is no one to talk to about canceling my membership. Zero options any where. The only thing I can come with up is to have no money in that bank account until they stop trying to take it. I fear they will leave a nasty mark on my credit report but they will not get one more penny from me. Not one penny. I haven't gone to that gym for over a year. I haven't had money in that bank account for two months. They send the bill, they send emails I can't respond to. Their automatic telephone system assumes my non payment is an oversight on my part and will l provide options to update my billing information but zero options to stop my membership and no customer service representatives to talk to. I don't even live in Florida any more. The people at the actual gym are no help. I feel cheated. I feel ignored. I feel like they have stolen from and will continue to steal from me as long as they are able to.. I will take every opportunity to tell anyone who will listen; do not sign on with youfit unless you plan on using that gym for the rest of your life. Predatory. One of the worst gyms in Tallahassee. From the unprofessional male manager who wears girls leggings to the mold and filth of the bathrooms, this place is a nightmare. When people walk into the gym they don't need to see the managers bulge in women's leggings. It's disgusting to look at and even more disturbing to think it's ok to wear that. I have had other female members tell me they were leaving this gym after telling me they were uncomfortable around him. Besides the unprofessionalism, the trainers lack any knowledge in fitness whatsoever. All of the trainers are out of shape themselves and have no business working at a gym or telling people how to workout. If they know so much why are they so out of shape? Stay away from this facility! Went in for a tour and bought a membership. After 2 days I decided that this gym wasn't up to par with my previous gym so I went in and canceled. I paid $27 to sign up, but when I canceled they said it would be refunded 60-90 days later. ??? So, today close to 1 month later, there's a charge on my account from YouFit! WTH! The GM said he saw that I canceled within 3 days so no $10 cancel fee was needed. So, if your employees had done their job correctly there wouldn't be a charge on my account. Work hard, play harder...that's how it goes, right? I've been a member of Youfit for two years now and I love it. Keep in mind that it is a cheap gym so it's definitely nothing spectacular but it gets the job that's for sure. When I moved back to Tallahassee I made sure that the gym I joined had classes I could take and Youfit did not disappoint. I immediately started going to Zumba twice a week and freaking loved it! You dance and have fun for an hour and literally don't even realize you're working out. And the community that the Zumba/Mixed Fit is is one that I really enjoy. Definitely try out different classes! Parking sucks, I'm not going to lie. It's a big parking lot but with the classes and how much equipment they have, right after work at 5:00 until about 7:00 pm is really hard to find a spot. I feel like I'm back in college. For the price you pay ($21 for a lime card and unlimited classes), it's worth it. Low risk, high reward! Ps don't forget about the annual fee. They don't warn you and it's $40 extra. Other than that $20 a month is something you can't beat. read more

So, we all know about the hidden costs. Last month they went from open 24 hours 4 times a week to only open at 5 am during the week and not til 8 am on weekends. Now the big problem. Just today they cut the lock off of my locker not 5 minutes after I got there because someone left her keys in the back and didn't say anything while I was right there. Not only was my purse,phone,keys,cards all up for grabs for anyone for 45 minutes but I have had that lock for 35 years and could open it in my sleep. Now they did give me a new lock(a combination I won't remember for another 35 years) Now apparently any member can walk in and ask that a lock be cut off of any locker for any reason that is not even verified. This is my second home, well close anyways. The staff is friendly and helpful. The classes are a lot of fun. My favorite class is Zumba taught by Jiyoung, she has so my energy and is so nice. They charged my boyfriends card for months while the gym was closed and still haven't refunded us even though we've called several times and they claimed our refund would go through in the next week A MONTH AGO. They charge some crappy $50 annual fee that took out the second month we got the membership and they have a $60 cancellation fee. I've never gone out of my way to write a bad review but I'm a server and at the beginning of covid my boyfriend and I were really struggling for money and this place completely screwed us over. I joined this gym right before COVID 19 hit. My purpose for joining the gym was to walk on the treadmill, maybe take a class or two. During my initial appointment they wanted me to try out a trainer. I worked out with a trainer once which led to the trainer signing me up for 8 sessions for $300 upfront. The trainers need to be trained to say I can sign you up for 8 individual sessions for 300 but they don't tell you because they know most people would decline. Had to leave town to tend to father in hospice. After repeated phone calls trying to contact a manager to cancel membership or put it on hold I finally reached him. I explained situation and he said he would take care of it. Two months later I find out manager had been fired for incompetence and I owed $50 late membership plus $85 late fees. SCAM ALERT!! I started receiving calls about owing membership fees in December. I went in that gym at least 5 times trying to get in contact with someone that could give me answers. Each time I was told they would put a note on my account to let the GM know I stopped by and no longer wanted my membership. I finally got someone who let me fill out a form to officially cancel my membership and the calls and texts stopped. Three months later, I start receiving the same calls and emails again. I called the gym and magically I owe more fees. I have not been to that gym in over a year. I have an email I sent in MARCH demanding to know why I was receiving harassing calls and text, no reply. HIDDEN FEES GALORE Seriously folks, go to their website, click the sign up button, and please, please, READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. I am ("was") merely a potential customer, so understand I can't rank the quality of the gym itself, although I've been told facilities are adequate if incredibly gaudy. The problem is that I cannot countenance being so blatantly mislead by a company. Their website clearly states "$10.00 per month - No commitment" Umm...yeah, except for more hidden fees than a used car sale. In addition, you will be paying (prices as of date of review): $30 APPLICATION FEE Also, "All month to month memberships will incur a one-time $5 INCREASE to their monthly dues after the twelfth month of membership." (way to reward loyalty!) Oh, and once you finish your "no commitment" membership and have turned in your access card (because God help you if you don't) you will be charged a $25 PROCESSING FEE, and you better make sure to get that cancellation in 10 days before your next billing cycle or you're on the hook for another month. Oh, and did I mention that from what I can tell your only option for payment is EFT (i.e. automatic withdrawal from your bank account), so yeah, they have you by the cajones at that point. Look, I went to all of this trouble because I am looking for a decent gym in the area, I see a lot of customers have been duped, and I am willing and able to read the Terms & Conditions and understand what they mean. Hopefully at least one or two people will read this, my personal and imperfect distillation of my own understanding of YouFit's fees, and make their own informed decision. As for me? That's a nay to YouFit if you hadn't guessed. But hey, if it sounds like a good deal, you DO get a free T-Shirt with membership. read more

YouFit Health Club peddles in the current style of all-accessible health clubs: decent monthly rates, new equipment, and minimal amenities. And, like other franchises of the sort, the Monroe Street YouFit offers a "free" personal training session; this session connects you with a subcontracted company (in this case, named Custom Built) that staffs YouFit with personal trainers. The training session is an extended sales pitch, which is to be expected, and you are then offered a variety of training plans from which to start your fitness program. My experience with Custom Built and YouFit was mediocre during the best of times, then infuriatingly disastrous during the worst. Once they've gotten you to sign their contract, the trainers will ignore you almost completely (and, administratively, this will manifest is billing issues, ignored requests, misinformation, and insincere platitudes to make things right.) Should you have a scheduled one-hour session, be prepared to not get your money's worth and have your trainer triple-booked for your session (which might make you feel ignored and envious of the attention their other clients get IF NOT FOR the trainer's busy texting schedule, so at least everyone achieves an equal amount of terrible service.) I am out several hundred dollars after a month of bullshit service; I am moving to Asia in a week's time, I've come to find that I've been charged more money, despite having cancelled my contract in a timely manner. From the terrible training acumen, to the shaming microagressions, and to the insidious mismanagement, you're better off simply building your own routine and forget wasting your time and money with Custom Built. Shame on YouFit Monroe for their laissez-faire stewardship and deceptive "advertising" practices when it comes to their personal training programs. read more

Youfit is a no-frills gym that caters to first-time gym users. You can't beat the price - $10 a month plus a yearly fee. My boyfriend and I got a lime card, which gives you a few more benefits, (like bringing a guest, cheaper tanning, etc.) and they let either one of us use the card. There are plenty of cardio machines that feature TVs and headphone jacks, which is great. There are also plenty of weights. They have an "express circuit," where gym-goers that don't really have a plan can go from one machine to another and get a great workout. They have recently started doing free classes with these, where an employee shows you how to properly use the machines in a group setting. Overall, I am pleased. Youfit is nothing fancy, but perfect for someone wanting to workout in a friendly atmosphere on a budget. read more

This Youfit is AWESOME! The staff members are always smiling, the equipment works, and the location is huge. I recommend the jumpstart package that is offered when you first sign up. It is only available the first day of signing up but definitely worth the money. I thought you had until the assessment appointment to take advantage of that deal so don't make the same mistake. The trainers are friendly, helpful, and take their jobs seriously. If you need a recommendation, Elliot is amazing. Anyone can do a squat or shoulder press, but can you tweak your own form into perfection? Can you push yourself to do the the workouts you don't like doing? Do you know your weak spots? This is the worst gym in Tallahassee. I had a weekly meeting with a trainer. My trainer missed several session. I asked to make them up on a different time of each week but was rejected. My training was subpar. I tried to cancel my membership on several occassions to no avail. I summitted a written request, in person and management said it was lost. I emailed them a cancelation letter and they ignored it. They are, to this day, crediting my card...I am working with the credit card company to try and retify this situation but it is a daunting task. read more

I joined this gym when it opened. In Tallahassee Florida, and I was one of the first members. And for years, I went, and paid my dues, and I even had a personal trainer. For years I spent many times in this gym. But I recently sold my house, and I no longer needed to belong to the gym, but trying to cancel the membership, has been an absolute nightmare. I went in person, to cancel my membership, and I did everything I was supposed to do, I even paid them $10 to cancel my membership, but then two weeks later I got another billing on my credit card for an annual fee and another monthly membership fee. So, I went back to the gym, and I again reiterated the fact that I had to cancel my membership on August 13, but had continued to receive Billings, and I asked to speak to the manager, and I was told that she had gone to the bank. Well, I could actually see the manager sitting at her office, unless she is a Houdini, I don't see how she could've gone to the bank, as I was standing there. So they lied to me then, and I came home, and I posted it on Facebook, and I received so many messages that so many people had received the same kind of bullshit response that I got. The manager has gone to the bank. I actually think this is something that this corporate entity is doing, they are lying to people, and And it really is wrong. So after that, I called ABC financial, which is their billing entity, and I told them I had to cancel my membership effective August 13. And I ordered them not to bill me again for any more monthly charges. The response I got was that Youfit had instructed all people who had regular billings on credit cards who canceled those billings, would receive a payment but, much like The ones you received when you buy a new car, or anything else on time. You're going to receive a payment book. I was livid. Why would you send me a payment book, after I have canceled in person the gym membership? So, now I have to go to the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint, which I understand there are many complaints against this company, and in addition to that, I am 62 years old. And I do not believe that this company should be allowed To exploit people of any age, but to especially exploit people of my age? I'm not quite ready to call an attorney yet but if they continue this horrendous behavior, I may need to make a formal complaint that these people are exploring people of all ages, and especially those that are over 60.
