Young and beautiful is the only place I trust with my hair! I've been coming here for a couple of years, and even though I hadn't taken care of my hair or colour at all for 2 years - listen everyone. they. skip. no. steps. I asked for an ashe blonde balayage which is really difficult from mostly black hair, and they had the patience to go through each step + made sure I always knew what was going on. I was comfortable the whole time, and though they had a few artists working on me, everyone knew what they were doing and was friendly but professional. We did not end up going as light as I requested, but I do appreciate them prioritizing the integrity and healthiness of my hair. The price was also very reasonable. I was invited to this location when I called in to book an appointment with Jennifer at the older Young & Beauty location. The person on the phone told me they would have an event with all services 20% off so I decided it would be a good bargain! This new location is absolutely gorgeous! I wasn't expecting it, and was totally surprised! It is extremely spacious, modern, clean and luxurious. Very high-class like! I'm glad to see businesses moving to a more luxurious image in Mississauga as this is definitely not your average Mississauga salon-spa. I decided to get my hair cut and nails done. Jennifer did my hair, and as always, it was amazingly done. She cut long layers, and my hair looked much healthier, with more volume. Tiffany and Henry did my mani-pedi and they were very careful, and detailed. I was really happy with the results. Regular pricing, the cut was $25 (with wash) and the mani-pedi was $35. I ended up paying $48 after the special (20% off). They kept their cheap pricing from the other locations but you're getting a much more luxurious experience! Very good bang-for-your-buck in my opinion. Also, the food they had there was amazing! Selection of croissants and sandwiches. I brought some home because it was free food.... why not??? Really hope this business does well, because I am definitely returning! P.S: Be sure to book an appointment! It got extremely busy as people were finishing off work and stopping by. Terrible and Never come back. Spent $350 for they DESTROYED my hair. The guy did my hair so violence, he put my hair in high temperature and my hair was burn with elastic ( it not use for doing hair) then he tried to cut my hair by razor because my hair was sticking togetger like glue. He thought i dont know what he was doing until i asked him. He said he didn't cut my hair and i asked him unraveled my hair by hand. Of course, how he can do it. I should to stop to do it right there but I believed in the owned. You cant image they charged me $350 with terrible service, burned my hair even i was tip for him. After that, i have to spend close to $1000 in another salons to do treatment ( 2 times for botox and some services ) but my hair .... Now, i only waiting until it is longer then i can cut the died hair . So sad.. read more

My family has long been going to Jennifer for all our salon/spa needs ever since she opened her first location in Chinatown. I always took this for granted until after a few bad experiences at other barbers/hair salons, I realized how much of a bargain these Asian places can be. However, this newer location is nothing you'd expect for the price since it is extremely upscale and luxurious. Marble floors, high ceilings, and cleanly environments, I was really impressed with the interior design of this place. This entire experience for a $12 haircut? Very cool. Mind you that I am also extremely picky with how my hair looks and always want a specific (kpop) style, I have never left unhappy. Overall, this is the place to go if you're looking for a luxurious experience but don't want to spend $$$ at 'luxury' salons & spas. My go-to-place for hair needs every 2 months. read more

I'm writing in regards to their Brazilian waxing service... First and last experience with them. First off..they have a chaise in the wax room.. Which curves and contours and raises below the knees. Very uncomfortable for both me and the person trying to get target areas for waxing when the chair isn't flat. They don't provide towels to cover yourself and when they open the door... They try to slide thru so people outside can't see your hoo-ha. When I got there.. I saw a big container of tongue depressors. So I thought they used a new stick everytime. When I was done and getting dressed... I only saw one stick in the garbage can. Disgusting and totally non hygienic. Don't come here for a Brazilian. read more

Ouch! $25 manicure (no shellac) to almost have my entire nail cut off I could have done a better job! I don't know what the guys name that did my nails and I don't want to know! My nails were damaged to begin with by the acrylics but the way he we taking my previous acrylics off was anything but gentle. Actually it was ripping/slicing them off which I could have done myself if that's how I wanted it done. The worst part was after he sliced my nail and there was a bit still hanging off, he just painted over it like nothing happened. Which of course not even 24 hrs later the broken nail lifted and I had to rip the remaining off (very painful)... Might I add that there was no lotion and no hand massage which I took basic 101 aesthetics and that's a must when it comes to a proper manicure. To top it all off there were old drinks all over their shelves Seems like there was only one older man doing hair there at the time, and then 4 young kids with no business etiquette. I've gone here for the past 3 years. High lites and a cut is always $120, regardless of the 4 different stylists I've tried. (Tony, Vicky, Jennifer and 1 other). Today, I went with my friend and the owner Jennifer did her hair. After applying the foil hilites very sloppy and 1/2 inch away from the roots, we both questioned it, and Jennifer assured us it was fine. 3 more times we questioned her process and after washing the colour out, my friend was left with a orangey/yellow patch and a patch of hair that was so over processed it was just falling out! One side was brown half way down and platinum the rest of the way. Jennifer has a terrible attitude and walked away leaving another guy to fix her mess. Without even getting a haircut my friend now has bangs from the breakage. When it's time to pay, they tried to charge $160 which we REFUSED! the owner was hiding in the back and would not come out to talk to us. After sitting in this salon for SEVEN hours and leaving with over processed straw hair they are lucky we even paid the $120. AVOID THIS SALON AT ALL COSTS! The other staff are wonderful and I pity them for having to do Jennifer's dirty work while she hides in the back. read more

I decided to get my nails done for the first time in my life and came to this salon. I wanted acrylic and was given price of 25-35 and I said I want it to be at the price point of 25 and when I was ready to pay they gave me the price of 35.?????? I asked why and they gave me some excuse that it was harder to do your style. Regardless the nails looked horrible as they were not evenly shaped and was a terrible first experience. One nail broke off after 4 days and so I called and asked would it be free to fix since it's only been a few days and they said yes...when I got there the lady said its 5 dollars. I gave her an are-you-serious look and she said 3. I didn't want to argue so I took it. The people there speak in their language which is fine but at it points seems like they are talking about you because they keep looking at you and laughing. read more

I've come to this place numerous times before and I always receive excellent and friendly service. I love it and I recommend it to everyone. The reason for the 1 star rating is because I just finished a mani-pedi with them and I got an older lady who was horrible - to say the least. She finished my pedicure in 15 minutes, without a massage or anything. I went with my mom who also got a pedicure but did NOT get a manicure, and we both finished at the SAME time. How is that possible?? As for the manicure, I asked for shellac and I showed her a picture on my phone of what I want the colour to look like. I wanted it to be a neutral nude shade that goes with my skin tone and that is more brownish instead of pinkish. She assured me the colour was exactly as the picture I showed. I asked her if she can test it on my nail and she said you can't test with shellac (even tho the other girls who had done my nails before had tested the colour on me numerous times). Anyways, I decided to trust her judgement. Once she had put 2 coats I wanted to look at the colour but she didn't let me. She forced me to put it straight under the UV lamp and said that if I didn't, the shellac won't stay because shellac comes off easily. It was clear she was talking nonsense just to get me to shut up. All I wanted was to check the colour and I said if I don't like it we can change it. And she said no don't worry once I do 4 coats you'll like it and kept assuring me it's a nice colour like in my picture. I was really really unhappy with the service. I even had to request her to massage my arms with lotion (something they do every single time you get a manicure). This lady is very unprofessional and lazy and I will be sure to let all my friends who go this salon know. If you want to go here for your nails make sure not to get it with an older woman with black hair. After a hard week I just wanted to unwind before another busy week began and this just ruined my mood for the entire weekend. Very disappointed in young and beautiful. On a bride's wedding day, the salon should realize that the bride and her party is priority. After spending close to $700 at this salon, we were rushed through our day, my hair looked nothing like the photo I showed the woman (two photos actually - the first had a french braid around the bun which Jennifer, owner, could not accomplish even though it is a standard wedding updo), my sister has nailpolish all around her fingers like a child colouring outside of the lines, my mother had dark black eyebrows on her face that jennifer refused to alter after several requests, and my bridesmaid was told sternly by jennifer to stop talking while the makeup was being done. Also, we were all supposed to leave by 11 30 the latest but 2 of my party were kept an extra hour because Jennifer overbooked, cutting my photography time in half and rushing those two to get ready. And that was only on the day... Prior, I had my eyelash extensions put in, after which jennifer kept telling me that she was adding extra and not charging me because I was the bride, and after getting extra done on my gel nails by Henry (who did an amazing job) because jennifer kept me waiting for over an hour to get my eyelashes filled because of overbooking, which resulted in me having to come back the next day (waste of gas and time) because other customers arrived for their appointments and I decided to give up my spot to avoid the angry customer from freaking out at the staff, she tried to charge me MORE money. I did not ask for diamonds on my nails. I did not ask to be waiting an extra 1 hour and then politely come another day to help out your schedule. On top of that, even though I was informed by a worker I would receive 10% off for paying in cash and having such a large service, no discount was ever given even though I asked about this directly with Jennifer two times. Honestly, Jennifer, you need to a) trust your staff to do their job and give price quotes according to your menu list. You should not be charging extra secretly, and you should not be making me feel like i'm getting a deal when you initially quoted me something else. b) realize you cant do everything. If you don't have enough time, don't overbook and do a crappy job. If you can't commit to a wedding party of 6 women, don't accept my money. Overall, this could have seriously ruined my day, and I'm beyond pissed to hear about this situation from one of my bridesmaids who kept it secret until today so as not to spoil the evening. Went there twice. Both times my booked appointment wasn't acknowledged. First time they pulled a girl from another client, and then half way a girl from reception came to finish my nails. Shape of the nails was horrible, I asked three times to re do it. Of course they got angry at me. I though .. hmm maybe it was just bad luck, I should give this salon a second chance. Definitely NOT! Went there again ( big mistake), they were busy, I waited 20 minutes in the lobby, then I waited 20 minutes with my hands in the water. A girl tried to take my shellac off by scrapping it off! I suggested to use acetone, she consulted another girl in Chinese and finally took it off using acetone! (Are you joking me??) Stayed in salon for about 2 hours, a total of 4 people did my manicure had absolutely NO cleaning done, just a shellac polish change. Overall experience - beyond horrible. Paid $ 25 + HST to get the hell out of there. I told the reception that I understand they are in rush but stuffing in more clients and doing an awful job won't hep their business. Quality over quantity and not the other way around. Those girls have absolutely NO idea what they are doing. They kept on calling one girl - Christy - that was with another client to do my manicure. I guess if you have to go here book your appointment directly with her. And God forbid have anybody else touch your hands! Don't know about other services i.e hair color, haircut, pedicure, etc.. Worst brazilian wax ever. Mind you its my second one. However my first one at another spa was so painful and awful i didnt think it could get worst. But this place really took the ball. The lady kept telling me to hold the skin snug for her it was so uncomfortable and she pulled the skin super hard, that alone was painful, the waxing was even more painful than my first one. She did a horrible job, hairs left everywhere. she wanted to do the back but i was in so much pain i refused. I also got my eyebrows waxed, an acceptable job in cleaning not in shaping would have prefered threading. The only good part was the price. 25 for brazilian its a steal but not worth it. I paid the same in montreal for my first one and although the experience was horrible as well at least the end product was flawless.
