Avoid,avoid, avoid! I went there for a follow up on a possible kidney infection and uti. I went because I couldn't get in anywhere else quick enough, now I know why. When I got there I had two young girls follow me everywhere. They said I needed a urinalysis and then told me I needed a physical exam where the doctor inserts his fingers Into me. I let them know I was not comfortable with this given I was on my menstrual cycle. They both made strange faces, left, then t came back and told me the doctor insisted it get done or I can't be checked today. I was so angry given I brought him all my results, ct scans and we did a urinalysis. I hesitantly agreed since I was not feeling well and as I was changing, without knocking, both girls walked into the room. They didn't even apologize and opened the door wide. They proceeded to do something then left while I'm sitting there half naked. When it was time for the check, the doctor came in and was immediately smug about my symptoms. While checking me both girls stood and stared up the curtain which was so uncomfortable. After the test, the doctor came back and said he couldn't be sure it was a kidney infection and gave me some random medicine samples. I asked if I could get the results of the urinalysis and he said I could call if needed. Well I called and emailed twice, and never got a response about the urinalysis results. Needless to say I was traumatized and angry. I did not know about my next appt and did not get any notification it was coming up (I of course would've canceled). And now I get a bill for 50 dollars for missing it. I went to a normal urologist, who never had to insert their fingers in me, who did everything the way he was supposed to and yes I did have a bad infection. AVOID!!!! read more

Very disappointed in my experience as my husband went to this office but luckily for him he saw doctor Hsieh and not doctor Khang. He had my results for over a week and didn't bother to call me to tell me that I did not have a kidney stone and that I should see my female doctor to follow up. I waited for my urine cell testing over 2 weeks no phone call. I called the office and requested for someone to review my results immediately as I was already able to pick up a copy of the report ( though they told me it wouldn't be ready.. it was ready the very same day that I did the CT scan). No one ever called me back so I just canceled my appointment and took my results to my other doctor who was very helpful. read more

I found Dr. Kang on internet while looking for a new and innovative procedure for BPH treatment. Initially, I planned to have so called UroLift, and already had a date for the procedure with a local urologist. Something inside my head was telling me that it might be a better alternative, and it was. Israeli doctors invented iTind for the BHP treatment. Only the problem was that the doctor I was seeing was not practicing that procedure. In fact, only a few doctors in California are qualified for the procedure. The closes office of Dr. Kang, to where I live, was 1.5-hour drive with normal traffic condition in the SV. I still decided to visit Dr. Kang, and was very glad I did. In one visit Dr. Kang did all the evaluations. I had to go through three visits at my local urologist for such evaluations. Dr. Kang gave me copies of ultrasound images, told me precise size of my prostate, and made an appointment for the procedure. It was amazingly efficient and clear. His staff was extremely helpful and skilled. I was very pleased with my visit. read more

Dr Kang was very knowledgeable and helpful but the staff there is absolutely Horrific not only to me but to the nursing home staff were my relative resides. Do not waste your time at this Doctors office. He use to have a good office at Valley care. But now that he has moved out. His STAFF is the WORST EVER!!!! They do not care about the patient at all. I could not get them to send my pharmacy a new prescription. To make matters short. They lie lie lie..!!! He needs to fire this staff and start over. I will never go to this doctor again. I have told him about his staff but he does not seem to care. I guess after he losses all his patients he will get the message!!!!! Sky his office manager is the worst liar there is. I would provide a lower rating if I could - incompetent or over committed clinic. I chose this provided based on a recommendation from pcp. Got a vasectomy at this clinic - right from initial consult ( long wait times at the clinic) to tests written that never showed up at the diagnostic center or tests that could not be completed at the center. This review is mostly for the office rather than the doctor. You have to be very careful when you step into that office with your insurance card. I wish i could give them 0 stars. The office personals are bunch of irritating people. Fisrt of all they wont call your insurance even if you are 100% sure that the insurance is accepted. They expect you to call the insurance. And they say that pay full amount and then we will bill the insurance. After a month NO response. they say they billed the insurance company 2 times. The billing department lady Sky is a con. She is absolutely the most useless person I have met. Totally unprofessional. Who cuts the call on you and does not pick up the call. Is this some kind of college Romance. Grow up come on. who is loosing business? Your doctors. I lost 150, but thats no big deal. Never ever agree to pay full amout and later reimburse.. that later reimburse will never ever happen. I am writing this review today based on my experience primarily with Dr. Kang's office staff which I consider rude and unresponsive. I personally walked into their office on 6/24 to sign a release form for my records to be signed and faxed to a new urologist for my upcoming office visit that was scheduled for 6/30. The technician reluctantly assisting me at the window was rude even though I gave her all the information including Dr. Schmidt's fax number myself. The records NEVER arrived and I had to call their office AGAIN on 7/7 and insist they fax them over and call me back to confirm they accomplished this after they spent much time trying to locate the form they claim to have misplaced. Dr. Kang needs to get involved in the front office of his practice and find out what's going on so their behavior doesn't reflect poorly on his professional interaction with his patients. read more

A GREAT urologist in the 925 area. Went there during my battle with testicular cancer. Dr Kang was professional and most importantly, adamant about my care plan. While due to insurance reasons, I was not able to continue care with him, he was more than kind and giving during the time I was a patient of his. His waiting room is VERY small, so have others who may go with you sit in the waiting area down the hall. read more

I was referred to doctor Kang because my regular doctor could not figure out why I was in pain - just that she knew it was something to do with my bladder. After twenty minutes of just asking me questions - Dr. Kang knew what was wrong and helped me with a solution. That was five years ago - I have been pain free since. His office is clean, his staff very nice, and he is quite professional. I have also seen his associate, Dr. Tsang and he is the same - courteous and professional. I found Dr. Kang to be very skilled, professional, courteous, and he had good bedside manner - spent time educating before and post surgery, and was connected and encouraging during the hospital stay. I also found him to be an advocate of the patient in getting the insurance company the information they needed to approve the procedure and stay. Dr. Kang is a wonderful urologist, and the closest one in Fremont to offer the physical therapy I need. I had to deduct a star because his manager Skye is heinous and doesn't run the office well. On my first appointment, they wouldn't let me in for 20 minutes until I called my insurance to verify my gynecologist's name to check her referral. They never heard of my referring doctor and had lost/misplaced or didn't receive the paperwork and didn't tell me until I got there even after they had confirmed the appointment. Had to get a corrected authorization with my Hill Physician group case manager Kathleen for the upcoming treatment also as Skye initially wanted to delay my treatment for 2 and a half weeks unnecessarily, and I wanted to proceed as soon as possible. I had Kathleen call them to correct it. When the office called to confirm my appt. they left a message for me to call back. So I did, and when Skye answered she asked if I could hold, I could not because I was trying to hold and care for my 7 month old but that I was just confirming tomorrow's appointment. She wanted me to call back again, so I did. The day of my appointment I was called in by Skye who literally made up a bunch of lies of how I need to be kind to the staff and how not being able to wait on hold was unacceptable. My appointment itself went fine with Dr. Kang and Amrit the nurse, and I made absolutely sure I was courteous to everyone. But when I called back Skye to tell her I felt she was discourteous to me by calling me in and that I disagreed with her that I was "unkind" to anyone as when I asked her for examples in our meeting, she had none. I think she was just angry I didn't wait on hold like she wanted and that I had to change her delayed authorization. She acted like she had corrected it by telling me she got me an authorization by telling me I upset 4 people when I only spoke to two, and one of them was my nurse who I got along with. Give me a break. She told me if I didn't like it she was going to talk to Dr. Kang and I could find another urologist. When I expressed I was happy with Dr. Kang and my appointment and that I was just trying to get in my side, she wouldn't let me finish. "We can stop right there. Let's leave it at that!" and then hung up on me. What a royal witch on a power trip who tried to end my medical care with Dr. Kang for no reason other than her ego. Just stay out of Skye's way, and you'll be fine with Dr. Kang, but you may have to walk on eggshells to do things Skye's way. I am still going to this doctor and doing my best to steer clear of the Wrath of Skye. read more

The worst review I can ever give to anybody is this place, I usually feel bad to shout in the public like yelp and put reviews that may ruin a business, but, this place really deserve it. I'd highly recommend not to go there, I called their office today to get lab results, I can't imagine how rude and unprofessional the lady that talked to me is!! It was unbelievable and full of lies. I was waiting for these results eagerly and trying to gain every month, they received my lab results in Friday and didn't call me till I called them in Monday's noon, these promised to send the results over email because the doctor is not coming to the office soon at all. I waited and nothing happened, called again and was promised to get it in my inbox before 5:00 same day. I called twice at 4:30 to figure out what is going on and they told me that I have to wait the doctor to come back and sign off the results, why she didn't tell me initially about this? I have no idea, she managed really well to get me mad and told here I'm never going back to their office at all. Not to tell, how rude and unprofessional the staff is (except probably a lady or two). She also lied couple of times and then told me we will have the doctor probably come today while she said he is not coming for 4 days or so. I was absolutely pissed off and insisted to get my results emailed and no need to wait for the doctor to be back. On the other side, Dr. Hsieh seems very unprofessional either and he was making everything dark for us. It was absolute waste of time and money to meet him or go there. read more

Been waiting to get medication for 6 months. Called the office many times asking for the medication with the response "don't have it yet". Called the office mgr, Sky who never returned my call. Then finally called Dr. Kang who didn't know what was going on. Dr says that he was offering an alternative medication but no one advised us. You would think that after our many phone calls, someone would have thought to call me. Nice doctor but office staff does not care about the patients. Too bad. I mean I know that everyone has their own opinion, but seriously all my family and friends that have ever needed a Urologist, they are to go to Docs in this area. I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff are so supportive and understanding, I don't think I have ever encountered an issue with this office. So I truly feel sorry for the people who have decided to leave these Doctors, they are so professional and they truly know their stuff. From the moment we walk in, we are greeted kindly. I think that the Doctors at this practice are top notch medical people but the office staff are a complete disaster. They said that my insurance was accepted by their practice and got things approved in advance of my visits. Guess what, that was not the case. I was out of pocket for all services!! I wasted two months of treatment, had to change doctors and start all over. I had a bad feeling when I first walked into the office. Music blaring, very unprofessional for a medical office. I asked for the forms in advance of my visit so that I could bring everything completed to the office, they didn't have soft copies to send me. When I got there the forms were copies that were hard to read, having been copied so many times from previous bad copies. It was a bad and expensive experience. read more

I have a history of prostrate problems BPH going back to 2000. At that time I went on Flow Max and had prostate surgery in 2004 . Dr. Young Kang ordered imaging and performed a spectroscope/cystoscope procedure on Sept. 21,2015. He observed a growth in my bladder and enlarged prostrate (147 gm). He scheduled me for a TURP (trans urethral resection of the prostrate) laser procedure to remove the growth and reduce the prostate to improve urinary flow. The day following the cystoscope procedure I developed a urinary infection and was rushed to the emergency room at Valley Medical Care. I was hospitalized, and treated for the urinary infection with antibiotics Sept23-25. Dr. Young Kang delayed the TURP procedure and kept me on Cipro antibiotics for a month. He performed the TURP procedure on Oct. 27 where he removed a stone and tumor from my bladder and reduced my prostate to increase urinary flow. The surgery went well and the tumor was benign. If you expect no complications to any procedure you're kidding yourself. Dr Kang and his staff were always courteous and responsive to requests. My condition has improved tremendously as a result of his procedure and I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with prostate problems. read more

Dr. Kang is a fantastic physician, with great bedside manner and knowledge. HOWEVER, his office staff and manager are not only rude, incompetent, unresponsive, and completely unapproachable. Having worked in healthcare myself for the past decade, I have had my fair share of bad experiences, but his office manager is by far the WORST. Patient experience is a huge factor in insurance reimbursements, and the overall success of a practice. I would suggest that Dr. Kang fire his office manager immediately, if he wishes to have any decent patient satisfactions scores. read more
