He thoroughly arranged the necessary tests, including MRI, biopsy, and PSMA PET/CT, which led to a clear and timely diagnosis. Because I was concerned about the risk of infection, I specifically requested a transperineal (TP) biopsy, and Dr. Shinghal was very receptive and performed it without issue. I truly appreciated how he listened to my concerns and accommodated my request. After the cancer was confirmed, he took the time to clearly explain the available treatment options, discussing both the benefits and potential concerns of each. This helped me make an informed and confident decision about my treatment. His recommendation of Dr. Yao for surgery was excellent and made a meaningful difference in my overall care and outcome. Dr. Shinghal is professional, thoughtful, and genuinely patient-centered. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy urologist.

Dr. Hsu and his nurse Cynthia are a great team. They are both very kind, caring, patient, and knowledgeable. They always listened to and answered all of our questions. We never felt like this doctor was rushing us through my father's scheduled appointments. On top of this all, they were always respectful of our time. My father was always called in very close to his scheduled appointment time, and he was seen shortly thereafter. My father is recovering from his surgery, and he is on the road to recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Hsu to anyone seeking the services of a very good Urologist.

Bittersweet feelings about this doctor…read more He was very informative about pointing out and showing proof of the incompetence of ValleyCare Medical Center radiologists and another doctor. He affirmed when my family has experienced with the VC radiologists; for the most part with my family's care that they just cannot read X-Rays correctly. Some horrible and dangerous errors have been made by VC's radiologist at our expense...incredible. Beware of that issue. He was more helpful than ANY of the many doctors assigned my care during hospital stays. He didn't do any "ass covering" for doctors who had messed up my care. That is very appreciated by my entire family. Big loss of stars regarding respect for our time. My husband was by my side for most of the experiences with Dr. Schmidt, including taking time off from work. Not happy about Dr. Schmidt's disregard for our time. When hospitalized, he was many hours late visiting me to release me from the hospital. During in-office visits, he left a lobby filled with patients waiting and waiting and waiting. First visit- the lobby wait was about an hour and a half. There was also a long wait in the exam room. During my second visit, I became very frustrated after waiting in the hallway for the staff to return from lunch, waiting in the lobby and then waiting in the exam room. The exam room wait alone was an hour. After that full hour wait, I got dressed and asked a receptionist if the doctor was even IN the office. She answered that he was not there, nor would he answer the several pages she made to him. I asked for my co-pay refund and happily walked out of his office. Our time is JUST as important as any doctor's time.

My dad was nervous about going to Dr. Schmidt for a urological exam, as he hadn't been to a urologist in decades. Like many doctors' offices, you end up waiting a bit once you arrive at Dr. Schmidt's office, but it was fairly comfortable and the wait to start the exam wasn't terribly long. The only complaint we had about this part of the visit is that the front desk people can be a bit brusque and abrupt. They weren't rude, but they weren't welcoming and warm either. A bit of charm would help. The doctor was incredibly thorough and patient with my father. He spent close to an hour talking to my father and mother about my father's medical history, what kind of problems he was experiencing and other matters to give him a full understanding of what he was working with. It was refreshing to see a doctor take his time to really get to know his patient. My dad found Dr. Schmidt to be personable, professional and warm. After that, the doctor did a physical exam and gave us his overview of the medical situation and a proposed plan of action to help my dad. It's still early in the process, but after the first office visit we are very pleased to have found Dr. Schmidt.

His office is prompt and efficient, and his staff is nice to work with. My issue was in the quality of service. After an initial urine test for any obvious infection, the Dr. essentially went into "it's all in your head mode". He didn't really listen to described symptoms, didn't really discuss options, or explore what might really be the issue. He basically said, no obvious infection, here try this supplement. My husband was seriously bleeding from his prostate and was requiring blood and these big bags of water. He was having a hard time with blood clots and in the evening on Call urologists would have to come. Dr Saleh was trying real hard to get him in for an operation and finally, one evening when he was not the on call Dr he came and said we need to do an emergency surgery. He afterwards told me he couldn't stop all the bleeding but he tried real hard but he was worried that his heart which needed a valve couldn't handle more surgery. Nachum coded when he was recovering. I recall meeting the Dr the next day after being up most of the night and having a full day of treatment I met the Dr in ICU and I asked him would he finally be able to get some rest and he said, "no, his 5 year old son had a science project that he submitted. The Dr treated him kindly and when my hubby who was in the hospital for a month was taking it badly he would just talk to him for 5-10 minutes. Also, in Aug 2020 he caught COVID before vacines. Putting a catheter was always tricky for something they called a secret package but the Dr had a family emergency and before he left he took care of my hubby. Dr. Saleh is the best, kind, caring, very knowledgable Dr. and we have been blessed to have him as my hubby's urologist. There is a comment by an Albert M. and truly it does not seem like we are talking about the same Dr. The World in my opinion is a better world because it has such an incredible Dr. This is long overdue but I am so glad to be doing it.

I am leaving a review as one of Dr. Weiwei Xu's admin staff and frontliners to patients. Dr. is one…read moreof the best female urologist in town who caters pts from across towns. She has bulk of the patients, special mention: women and those women with specific religion. Dr. Xu is a clinician in a male-dominated field and she does it very well. She keeps on updating her knowledge and learns new skill and treatments year after year. Her daily schedule is always full, upto 30 patients per day or more! Hence, for those patients who are reading these, she is the best in town. She might be very strict and sassy at times yet she's a good, really good speacialist. Most of the complaints she get are not from patients itself but from their relatives who feel too entitled and think money and race can buy the office's respect. They complain because it doesn't fit to their availability or their liking when they should be thinking of pts welfare at most! They try to display their degrees or the job that they have but cannot take the time to understand what is HIPAA-compliant from not. A lot of Dr. Xu's patients also miss their appointments without a call or advisory from them or from their designated persons on time, and that is a big deal! I hope you understand that that could've been offered to other pts who are also in need of consult; you know, that is also a waste of time, effort, and money! She is a doctor and we are her staff who need to earn for a living too. This is a job, our job! The moment that you miss an appt or disregard a reminder, that is already a loss! So, for patients who are in need of Dr. Xu's consult, please do your due diligence. This is a doctor's office not a shopping mall or a farmer's market that you can choose or do whatever you want. The services offered are for healthcare and medical treatment not bags, spa, jewelries, nor luxury consumption. Again, Dr. Xu is the best in town. She finds ways to advocate patients. Her continuous search to modern, alternative, and effective treatment is inspiring. She knows her job and she knows what to do. She is a specialist for goodness' sake.

My personal experience has been quite positive. Dr. Xu is quite thoughtful and explains things well.read more
