I paid Young's Handyman $180 to fix my leaky faucet on 5/17/2020. What he did was replace the faucet and manage to cut our sink and damage it. He also managed to cut our granite and ruin our countertops. He even avoided me for weeks until I ran into him at the local hardware store. He then agreed to come by Wednesday 6/10/2020 and he was a no show. He failed to call or text. He can now expect to see me in small claims court along with this honest review with screenshots of our conversations. He caused damage and chose to leave it !! People deserve to know the truth. Our headaches began, when we trusted the reviews on YELP. We hired Trevor to handle as much remodeling as he was qualified to handle. That was a mistake. Trevor has just enough knowledge to appear as though he is qualified. Almost everything he touched in a 3 month span has cost us money to be fixed by a professional. He completely disassembled our HVAC for a repair. That "fix" cost me appx $7k, as I had to hire an HVAC contractor to fix both of his HVAC jobs that he totally jacked. His bathroom remodel left sewer drains dumping into our sub floor vs. correctly tie in to sewer lane. His electrical work all has to be corrected and put ip to code. I am still having those issue resolved almost 3 months later. I consider myself lucky, he did not burn either of the properties down to the ground! Trevor always seemed to be hurting for money. Always wanted to be paid before the jobs finished or inspected. Serious red flags! God help anyone risking their property on his work product. I hate to leave any small business a bad review being a small business owner myself, but this was ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!! The only reason I'm not giving him 1 star is because Trevor had done work for me before. I messaged him a week ago to return to my Uncles house to repair a leaky faucet in the kitchen and haul away some items. He had done work in the past with no problems. Yesterday, on the day he was to do the work, he flaked, no call, no vm, text or anything. He finally texted me back several hours later to let me know he was on the way home from a trip out of town and couldn't make it. What?!? Wow. Wow, Trevor provides excellent customer service! I had a toilet I needed to replace because the previous owners grouted the toilet to the floor. Anyways, Trevor came out took a look at it and took care of it. It needed a longer hose, because the current hose was too short; he took care of it. He did an amazing job and even hauled the old toilet. If you need handy man repairs, I would definitely recommend Trevor. He's awesome. Our bathroom sink was leaking after it had already been fixed previously. Trevor came out and immediately determined that the pipes had been put on incorrectly. He got the correct parts and re-assembled the sink properly, and also got out a major clog left by the previous tenants. In addition, he replaced our hot water shut off because it was not working. His prices were reasonable and the job was done quickly (and on short notice). We are very satisfied with his service will definitely be using him again. read more

Hired Trevor for a few projects at our property. We're retired grandmothers, 68 and 73 years old. Had him come to replace a broken garbage disposal. Replaced the disposal for a fixed price of $125, that took less than a half hour. However, had a massive leak under our sink after he left. He came out and "fixed" it but it still leaked. After a number of unreturned calls, he said he did what we hired him to do and that the leak was not his problem but a different issue. For two weeks we couldn't use the kitchen sinks. We called and he said he'd fix it if we paid him an additional $40 I said that this was unreasonable since the sink had NOT leaked for the past 15 years until he replaced the disposal. We offered to pay for any needed parts. Trevor said "OK", that he'd come out the next day. Never showed up and refused to respond to our phone calls. Had to hire and pay a big local plumbing company to come out and repair things. They showed us that Trevor had installed the pipes to the sink UPSIDE DOWN and that was the cause of the leak. Not our fault but his carelessness and failure to back up his work. We were rather disappointed that he'd treat two senior ladies this way will not use this young man again. We expected better. Although Trevor is a nice guy and I'm sure he knows building trades, just DONT ASK HIM TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK. He screwed up; he blew up the electrical circuit board of the spa and two ceiling lights. He admitted that there were problems and said he'd come back to fix them. I trusted him and paid him, certain he would be back. He has never come back, even after apologetically texting several days on a row that he would show up the next day and still he never showed. I'm really disappointed in him. I even texted him that I wasn't pissed off, just want the work finished. Not a word. Maybe he got in a car accident? Or got kidnapped? I'll never know because he has not called or texted for about three weeks. I think this behavior is unprofessional and downright rude. I hired a licensed electrician today to fix Trevor's mistakes and he showed me at least three basic code violations and one serious mistake that could have caused a fire. AGAIN. WARNING!!!
