Nick and his team are phenomenal. I read some of the 1 star reviews and was absolutely perplexed! His work is exemplary and he is literally one of the nicest people ever. As with many tradespeople, he sometimes take a little bit to get back to you (he is out in the field!!), but he has ALWAYS come through. He and his team worked on a major remodel on my house and then again when I built an ADU. I also had Solar installed by his team. Be careful. He's not trustworthy. We discussed several jobs around my house. He sent me a quote with no details. It was way too much ($5600) so I said no. I suggested an itemized bill so I could reduce the job. He offered a discount and I took it and all he did was a half assed job that required me to hire a handyman. More importantly they have been incredible responsive to any issues or service calls including one on Easter Sunday which turned out to be a SMUD problem. I can hardly believe how poor Nick is at customer service. He came out to look at a very simple job and then said he would send me a quote to my email. After waiting days, I called him. He said that he sent the email and that he would resend it. Again, I waited several days. I called again and he said he would call me back. AGAIN, I waited several more days. I called him again at which point he said "we're not interested" and then hung up on me. He may be competent as an electrician - but he is dishonest and unbelievably rude! Great price, great service, great integrity. In these times when you cannot even get a return call from an electrician, I came across a great one! I have had several jobs stacking up for some time (fan installs, new outlets, dedicated circuits, timers). I called Nick from H&H Electric. The next day he came out to give an estimate and made helpful suggestions as to other options. No pressure. He listened to what I needed and gave a very good quote. His team came in the following week and got all the work done quickly and as expected. They were prompt, professional and left the workspace cleaner than when they started. There were no surprises. After the work was done, I had some troubles with an outlet near an installed timer. I contacted Nick and a few days later they were out to fix the problem. We had just a few badly needed updates and electrical repairs in two rooms in our house. Not a big job - but still a bit beyond our abilities. We called a few places for quotes. Nick at H&H got back to us quickly. While it took a bit of back and forth to get him to the house for the quote, once he arrived, he was professional, polite and thorough. We set a time for the work. He arrived with a crew of two - got them started and departed. The guys were very polite; worked quickly; finished the job in the time promised; and cleaned up after themselves. Nick returned to check on them and also at the end of the job. We required just a bit of finishing drywall/sheetrock work, and Nick was able to suggest a guy for that as well. Several outlets in two rooms went out in my home. Nick and his assistant showed up on time and they professional, friendly and efficient. They moved some furniture to access the outlets, found the problem, fixed it and then moved the furniture back...all in an hour. Very rude on the phone. I decided to give these folks a chance bc they were recommended by my realtor even though reviews online are very mixed. After they answered phone, i explained that I had 2 different projects. One which entailed an evaluation of some blinking we have been experiencing in the house even though is a brand new build. The person interrupted and basically said " I'm not even going to get into doing anything that a builder has done, they should cover that under a warranty." We needed several new outlets installed and a dedicated circuit for the solar system in an outdated home we've updated for our Mom. She also had a very heavy ceiling fan that needed to be rehung on a vaulted ceiling [after the painting was finished]. Nick pointed out the old box holding the fan was not secure, threads were stripped & box was not in good shape; could actually have fallen therefore endangering Mom or anyone else in the house, as there's no attic for secure bracing. Nick and his team of 3 were on time, he gave us an estimate for the work up front and got to work. They were all very friendly, professional, and extremely proficient. The ceiling fan box ended up being an irregular size, one got it while the others continued wkg on the garage. We were so impressed to see Brian custom bent the tubing very precise to accommodate the tight area for the new electrical outlets, (not precut or prefabricated) . We just don't see that that level of craftsmanship any more. They helped us out in other ways as well; while having their super tall ladder one put a vent cover back up on the ceiling for us (down since the house was painted) meanwhile an item of mine rolled off the top of my car into the gutter through a drain cover. One fine young man physically retrieved the item I inadvertently lost. We thought it was an extremely thoughtful act of kindness. Obviously I was having a challenging day. The team did an awesome job.They had all necessary materials, laid down tarps to catch any mess made during the work. No mess left to clean up after them, worked timely and efficiently, kept my Mom's 2 little dogs from getting out and stuck to the price originally given and warranty their work. Extremly Expensive! 3 guys in 3 different vehicles came over 3 times. Not including Nick. Trampled my flower bed. Left bit and pieces of wiring all over. My dog has enough chew toys. Add-ons were supposed to be on the original quote. I asked for an itemized receipt and was denied. A 200 amp meter box Typically cost around $1600.00. I paid 2800.00. Plus $1300.00 For a few lines dropped in. The original quote ($2800.00) seemed high but I thought it included the "add-ons". read more

I was given Nicks name from a property manager my boss uses instead of trying the Craigslist route. I was happy I got a call back after leaving a message. We made an appointment to meet at the location later in the week at 8AM . Not being a morning person I adjusted my schedule accordingly and was there 10 min early. I got a bit irritated after he was 5 minutes late but decided I was just cranky (cause it was early) and give him 5 more. So 10 minutes late now and I text him. He calls me back and says he's in Loomis!! LOOMIS were meeting in Sac and your in Loomis at 8:10am? Im thinking you knew at 7:30 you were in Loomis and could have called so I didn't have to rush over here. I'm waiting at another location in my car pretty much so I decide to go to Home Depot kill some time and tell him to call me when he's done and I will be only 10 min away and I will meet him was soon as he can get there. Needless to say Im a bit irritated since courtesy would dictate a call when your going to be late, especially by hours. Anyhow we finally met up a little before 10 and he said to give him a few days to get an estimate together and he had me write down all my info. This was a Friday so I thought by Wednesday the next week I would get something..... Well to date it has been 2 1/2 weeks and haven't heard a thing. I guess he doesn't want the job but again a call or text would be fine if thats the case. It seems like with any construction type professional it is hit or miss this was certainly a miss for me. I recently bought an old house that needs some fixing up in parts, nothing huge, but needed nonetheless. One example, childproof outlets that were worn out and would literally pop the electric cords out. I called H & H and Nick sent two of his guys out the same day. He also stopped by to make sure everything was going well. He and his employees were very polite and the work was done quickly and well. The price was very fair too. This week I had a lighting fixture spark, trigger the circuit breaker and then one socket stopped working. Nick came out investigated it and realized the wrong lights (incandescent - don't blame me I never said I was an electrician) were in the fixtures and over-heating. He replaced them with cooler fluorescents to prevent them getting too hot. Problem solved and he wouldn't let me pay him. I love it when I find a service that is terrific, reliable and well priced. We hired Nick and his company to update our 12 year old kitchen lighting. The job entailed replacing a large, ugly fluorescent ceiling fixture with new, LED recessed can lighting and pendants; adding new LED under cabinet lighting and replacing a chandelier to match. Of the 3 estimates we got, Nick's company was in the middle -- but, the added value of having Nick's hands on management and close communication throughout the process was priceless. The crew that completed the work showed up on time every day; was pleasant and we could ask them questions and they were happy to explain things; skilled in the work they were doing and took pains to make sure they left our home neat each day. This is a long overdue review for Nick, the owner of H & H Electric. I am a Realtor and I have been using Nick for over 10 years to do inspections and repairs, both minor and major. In the beginning we had to run his bids thru asset managers for foreclosure properties we managed, and they never hesitated on the cost. He has always showed up on time and worked very well with all our clients. Personally, I would never question his knowledge or expertise. He and his employees really know what they are doing. He will always take the time to explain an issue in layman terms, so our clients understand the problem. Because of the nature of our business; we have dealt with so many service personal over the years and frankly if they are not serving our clients well, I move on. When it comes to Nick, I can honestly say and would stake my reputation on this, he is always honest and never tries to do a repair or upgrade that is not necessary and knows what he is doing. Nick didn't show up in the two hour window that he told me he would show up. When I called, he told me he was running behind and didn't want to come on that day. (I waited around for no reason because he blow me off and didn't even have decency to call or apologize ). Asked if he can come next day, and he says he can but have to call back when he's in the office later in the day. Didn't call me back until late following day. Of course, my time is valuable and I'm not exactly sitting on my butt waiting for this guy all day so we couldn't schedule it for that day. So he tells me he'll call back when he's in the office but this time never calls back. Given his complete lack of respect for my time (no shows and no calls), and being complete unreliable, there's no way I would ever use him for any project. read more

We had this company install fans in our home and they did a good job. They even went out of there way to help us out on some issues that occurred during the installation process. I paid these guys quite a bit of money to install, these fans but they were unable to balance all the fans. So some some of my fans were left with a bad wobble. We asked if we bought new fans they could install them, but they said they were to busy to do it. They said they were booked out a couple of months. So I went out and bought new fans and hired a different company through a major local retail chain. When they arrived and looked at the fans, they were able to balance them in less than ten minutes without any difficulty. It was a simple fix, that they were unable to accomplish. read more

Unprofessional, rude, incompetent, and lacking in integrity.... We called Nick to help repair the power in one of our rooms at the beginning of last week. He said he could have someone out the next afternoon, but they ended up arriving about 3 hours late and near dinner time. After one of his employees looked at the problem and couldn't figure it out, Nick walked into the house and declared the job was over for the day. Meanwhile, they managed to damage a light fixture in a separate room. He said they would call the next day to let us know when they could have someone look at it another time. No call for days....Eventually, when I spoke to Nick to find out what was going on, he said that they couldn't do the job. I asked when they would send someone out to fix the damage they had done, receiving the same, "We'll give you a call," response. When days passed without him calling, I phoned again. Nick and another guy showed up late, only damaging the fixture MORE. Incredibly, as if they were little boys running away from a window they had broken with a baseball, they nearly tripped over themselves getting out of the house without letting us know they were going or having us check to see if they had fixed the light. I'm surprised they didn't run into one of our cars as they sped away. In total, Nick was arrogant, won't return phone calls, and his company caused hundreds of dollars of damage to our house. I wish I could give no stars to warn everyone. read more
