Both locations are about the same distance from my house, but I'm just not a fan of driving down US-1. I also prefer shopping in the middle of the day since I have the flexibility, and on this visit it was perfect--pretty empty with quick, easy checkout lines. I especially love having the self-checkout option. On this trip, they had almost everything I needed except for one item, which is pretty typical since Aldi doesn't always carry everything. Overall, a smooth and convenient shopping experience. And of course, I appreciate the more affordable prices.

We always drive passed this place on our way back to Palm City from Jujitsu and I kept telling myself that one of these days I'd stop in. It's always a little intimidating when you go into a place you've never been before but the cashier was super friendly, helpful and answered all of my questions. I ended up with quite a few baked goods, some fruit and a Kabocha (my fav pumpkin!). I'll definitely be back to try more of the baked goods!! Over the past decade, there has been an influx of Mexican culture in the area sprouting up a number of Mexican businesses. This is especially true for groceries and food. Big C's Produce is one of those businesses that does both. Think of it as a starter Thrifty Produce. The grocery part of the business has the necessities needed plus the addition of authentic Mexican art, pottery, jewelry, and clothing. The restaurant part is like a food truck, similar to La Preferida up in Eau Gallie. However, the one part of Big C's I can personally review more so ever is the food. I ordered the enchilada especial and a Jamaica drink (consists of dried hibiscus flowers, water, and sugar). The food was average compared to many other Mexican cuisine I had here in Brevard County. I must stress that doesn't mean it is bad. It was well-prepped and delicious. But if you were to put Big C's food next to the food of other Mexican restaurants that would also be rated as average, in general, most won't be able to tell much difference. Nevertheless, if I am ever in Fellsmere and I am craving Mexican food, I won't hesitate to get it from Big C's Produce if I am passing by. Also on a sidenote, the food averages between $10 and $20. Not bad given the fact the prices on all fast casual, casual, and even fast food restaurants have gone up.

Go up to the food truck and order your food they'll give you a receipt then go inside and pay for the receipt. The produce stand did not have prices easily available to read. I would have purchased some of those nice pineapples they had in stock but there was no price listed so I did want to surprise. All the produce appear to be in very good condition. The food was really good, lady at the food truck was friendly as well. They were pretty quick how about getting the food out. I ordered what it was called enchiladas what I received it's not the typical enchilada you would expect. I enjoyed their take on the enchilada dinner. Lots of meat in there right on top so you can Dive Right In. The price is also very fair.

At the time we were promised"...a shopping bag of fresh local fruits, and vegetables ready for pick up at the farm each week..." from September 2024 to May 2025. The first bag of food did not arrive until December. It contained a spring mix of kale and collard greens. There was no communication about the delay so we called and were told that poor weather and rain delayed the farm from having vegetables any sooner. We were promised that the season would be extended to make up for it. For the next several weeks, we received a small bag of spring mix. After that, bag preparation and availability became less consistent. As often as not we would take the twenty minute drive to the farm and find no bags on the shelves and no one at the farm we could talk to about it. When we did receive bags they contained one of the following; kale, collard greens, broccoli greens, and beet greens, a few cherry tomatoes and a handful of edible flowers. Occasionally bags included a small head of broccoli or a handful of carrots as small as my thumbnail. When we tried to reach out to the owners, we were told that we did not understand how a CSA operated. During a second call a refund was offered, but quickly retracted. In late March, we went for our weekly pick up. There were no bags but a hand written sign stating that there was sickness in the family and they could not provide veggies. There was no communication beyond that. After three more weeks with no bags we concluded that the weekly bags would not be continuing and the season was over. A few weeks later we received a text stating that they would have a bag together for the following week and that they would be continuing to offer micro greens. We received one additional bag of spring mix, but nothing else. We have been members of CSA farms in the past and have never experienced the lack of communication and broken promises that we had with Osceola Organics Farm.

This Florida citrus producer regular travels up to North Carolina and Virginia to see their fruit direct to customer. But given the two hour window to find their truck, I always wondered if it was worth the effort? But after one visit, I can tell you they are totally worth the effort! The Citrus Unlimited truck stopped in Cary, NC near Cary Crossroads and I popped in. $48 for some Sol Zest mandarins in a 20 lb. box and I'm back in the car and heading home. The box had about 50 or so pieces of fruit, all in pristine shape and condition. I peel a couple and pop some slices into my mouth and wow! So good, this fruit was super fresh and these Sol Zest mandarins might be the best citrus fruit I've had in my life. You may be doubting me but the only way you're going to find out is to check out their schedule and get some!
