Husband and I went here for iced coffee and smoothie and it was the best iced coffee we had in Vero Beach. Smoothie was good, too. Ended up going to the beach and coming back for lunch. Got a panini and fresh squeezed juice. Panini was just the way my husband likes it, with perfectly toasted bread and crisp bacon. The Tropical Energy juice was amazing, too. Service was friendly and the ambiance was nice, with the plants, both fake and real, a nice touch. There was a plant that could use a little love and leaf removal. This place was really good. We had to go two days in a row. Ordered a flat white and a matcha this time, and both were excellent. We decided to try the food, and that was great too. We got the Turkey BLT and the Italian sandwich, and both were flavorful. The employees were all really nice and welcoming. We sat outside again, and it was lovely. Just left this place and it is not it, the employees are terrible at customer service. Took 45 minutes for me to get my sandwich and I had to ask them about it, they made me wait inside while they were "making it" and it took over 20 minutes for it to be made. When I got the sandwich all I can describe it as is salty crap. This place does not care about timeliness, quality or politeness. read more

I ordered a coffee and an avocado toast to go. I figured 15 minutes, since it was full but not as busy as I'd seen it before. I made sure to tell them "to go" because I was on the way to work. It took 15 for the coffee and almost 30 for the avocado toast. By the time I got the toast it was lukewarm/cold, not like it'd just finished cooking. The egg was literally lukewarm. I've tried multiple times (not a lot of vero options) and given them the benefit of the doubt, but it's always a 20+ minute wait and they've forgotten my order entirely on two occasions. The quality and service has gone consistently downhill over the past few months. Repeatedly when I order, items are missing from my order. Just today myself and a colleague visited and the bowl I ordered had items missing from it that I saw clearly printed on my receipt. This happens consistently, mostly on the weekend. When I order during the week my order is usually correct - and fwiw, it wouldn't be a big deal, except that I'm being charged for toppings I'm not getting - and I know I'm being charged because I see them on the receipt but not in the bowl. My colleague watched one of the servers put their hand into the paper coffee cup before pouring coffee into it and handing it to a patron. This same individual was also touching their face etc behind the bar. The service on my meal while the restaurant was not busy was so slow that the food was cold by the time I got it. Caramelized edges of something and burnt pieces made their way along with the chicken, into my bowl. Frustrating as you want to love the local places but Chelseas continually falls short. I'd rather a limited menu they serve really well than having to sift through tons options they can't execute. Today was the last straw for me. read more

Chelsea's Gourmet offers exceptional sandwiches, bowls, smoothies, and beverages in the heart of historic Vero Beach. I got the Amazing Açaí smoothie, which was extremely smooth, creamy, and flavorful (not icy at all). I also tried the Green bowl, which had a great base complimented by the addition of fresh fruit and crunchy toppings. The smoothies themselves are made with fresh, organic ingredients, and are not overly sweet. The sandwiches are also excellent, I would recommend the Italian in particular. There is amble inside and outside seating. The back half of the building is where you order breakfast and lunch items, and the front half is a quaint cafe with typical coffee shop offerings. The prices are reasonable, especially for the area which can be inflated due to the significant tourist presence. This is a great breakfast and lunch spot in Vero! read more

I was hesitant to visit after reading so many poor reviews. However, my experience was good. Ample seating inside and out. The setup is weird. A coffee bar in the front and then alllll the way to the back of the store (or entry through another door in the shopping center) there is food and a small fresh food kiosk. The food was excellent. The fresh juice was wonderful. I had quick service both with ordering and food delivery within 5 minutes of ordering. It was a Tuesday around 10 am, for context. Very busy spot. I'd recommend a visit if you're in the market for a good meeting spot or a good breakfast sandwich spot. Ample free 3 hour parking up and down both streets. Near the beach. read more

Cute breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Vero Beach. There is a walk up to order counter on one side for food and around the corner they have a separate coffee bar and counter. We tried the Amazonian 'smoothie' bowl which came out very quickly and was really good. We also ordered the Avocado Chicken Club Panini which took a total of 20 minutes to come out after we had gotten our smoothie bowl. Luckily, as far as sandwiches go, it was delicious. The bread was perfectly crunchy, the chicken was tender and flavorful, the honey mustard added the perfect amount of sweetness to balance out the salty bacon. It was better than your average run of the mill sandwich. I would recommend checking this place out and hopefully the wait time is improved upon. read more

Quaint place in downtown Vero Beach. Tried it yesterday for breakfast and had to come back before my two day stay ends. The staff are pleasant and polite. The place is very clean and organized. The pastries look amazing but I opted for the more substantial breakfast options. The menu has something for everyone and it has many healthy options. I've been coming to Vero Beach for thirty years and Chelsea's Gourmet is my new fav. I haven't tried their deli or wine but I will be back to do so. I wish I lived in vero beach because Chelsea's menu is everything a human could want in their life: pizzas, sandwiches, salads, olive bar, acai bowls, smoothies EVERYTHING and each item sounded great. I got their protein acai bowl which was acai, coconut meat, coconut flakes, banana, strawberry and peanut butter. I had swapped the pb for cashew butter. When I got my bowl there was pb and I was like yah know that's okay, and the woman behind the counter was like, please let me give you cashew butter as well! A wonderful woman, we had a great conversation, and you can tell from that that the employees care about their customers and the quality of the food they are putting out. A few of us got the bowls and collectively assigned it a 4 out of 5, it was certainly enjoyable just not the BEST one we've had. I think a bit more toppings and little less nut butter would be excellent, sadly I ran out of acai to match my nut butter. I'd certainly return if near by and try something new, and enjoy it inside as the decor/environment is lovely. Definitely a spot I'd stick around to do work or have a food date. Service is SLOW and nobody seems to care. There should be at least two people working the pastry/coffee order counter. The line is getting longer and there is one person taking orders and making coffee/etc. There is no option to speed people through so those just simply wanting a pastry can get through. Waiting on food to be prepared is one thing but I'm talking about the very long wait time to order, even a simple smoothie takes awhile. And I'm not the only one I have heard complaining. I've been recovering from surgery with poor tolerance for keeping food down. My dear sister-in-law was thoughtful enough to drop by with a care package, including a container of Chelsea's chicken noodle soup. This soup was EVERYTHING I didn't know I needed! Stopped in several times during our week in Vero Beach. Our morning coffee walk. Great, rich coffee we even bought two bags of Rio Coco to take home. Best coffee we've found in Vero. They have lots of specialty coffees but we got regular coffee. Picked up a blueberry muffin one day and a slice of pumpkin bread another. Our final day in Vero beach we picked up dinner. They close at 4:00, so it was take home and refrigerate. We split a chicken salad and a leafy greens salad with chicken. Both were delicious. read more
