This is an update to my first review of: Your AV Guy - I said he was the greatest thing ever - remember? He fixed everything just right - remember? He was the greatest guy ever - remember? FORGET ALL OF THAT !!!!!!!!!!!!! Our system converted back to doing EXACTLY what it was doing before, it is now frustrating as hell, now I am looking again for ANOTHER AV GUY because WHY ? I contacted "Your AV Guy" and told him my system had converted back to doing the same exact thing expecting him to return and find out what what was going on: WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!! I get a return email telling me I just don't know how to run a system correctly - I should study the system more - he has done all he is willing to do. What is it about it these days - CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS DISAPPEARED COMPLETELY I GUESS !!! I know I own my own company and have for 30+ years and I will GUARANTEE I have NEVER sent a customer a message like this, matter of fact in 30+ years of service I can count on 1 hand the amount of people that have had a problem with my service but in the end it was ALWAYS worked out to both of our satisfaction. So as far as "Your AV Guy" - My rating has dropped from 5 stars to 1, if I could give him a 0 star I would do that !!!! I saw the answer the "Your AV Guy" left after reading my review - FIRST, he did not hook up a printer for free, we PAID him for doing that, NOTHING WAS FREE !!!!!! SECOND, he is basically calling us DUMB I guess, that is ok, we have already had another AV person over to check our system and he said the whole system is SET UP WRONG, he said it is not "USER PROBLEM" on our end, he said once he has it set up correctly, we will be able to run our complete system on one remote and put all the other remotes in the drawer. "Your AV Guy" left had us going from one remote to another to do things and the new AV guy said that was ridiculous, this whole system could be set up to be user friendly for people that are not "Tech Savy" or as the "Your AV Guy" calls us "DUMB" !!! Mike and his partner came to mount three TVs. On their first attempt, they mounted one TV, but dropped another, and the last TV was found damaged from storage. For their second attempt, I called on the weekend, and the earliest opening they had was at the end of the week on Friday. They came and mounted the two replacement TVs I had to purchase. I agreed to split the cost of the damaged TV since it was old. I felt they rushed their work. This was evident when one of the guys dropped the TV, which could have been avoided if they had worked together. Additionally, they used the mount intended for the largest TV on the smallest one. When I pointed this out, they insisted it was fine and refused to change it, indicating a lack of attention to detail. After they said this, I just wanted everything to turn on and for them to wrap it up. Overall, the service was just okay at best. read more

I had decided after at least five years to get the security system in our house, hooked up and monitored again. In a yelp search Your AV guy came up so I gave him a call. I talked to Mike, who is apparently the owner and he told me right up front that in spite of the information on yelp he doesn't do security systems. I had also given thought to another Geek squad visit from Best Buy where I had bought a new Samsung TV. At the time of the purchase, they asked me if I wanted installation, but I had never heard of a TV that complex. I need help installing a TV? anyway, I told Mike that I had a successfully operated the included Samsung remote but that my hands were too big for that tiny solar powered remote. So I had bought a larger remote, but it did not have audio. So I told him we had succeeded in getting Alexa to turn the TV on and off and do searches for us. But that I wasn't sure I was getting as good at TV as I bought. Mike said I didn't need a service call but that I should buy the Amazon fire TV. We had trouble with a fire TV years ago and he listened patiently to this before he said it's a different system now so I've ordered it. I'll update this rating after I install it. oh by the way he still said he didn't think I needed a service call. AMAZON's best 2024 fire TV costs less than I would expect to pay for a service call and they'll take our old Alexa back for a credit of $22. read more

I had Mike come out for an estimate for an 86 in mount, it's a 100 lbs. He mounted it perfectly level for karaoke height. He also ran speaker wire through the attic for ceiling mount speakers. I wanted wall mount, but there were too many fire breaks to run it down the wall. He had the creative idea to ceiling mount. I like it much better. When he was done the work site was clean with no scratches. Also, he was able get the TV and reciever talking when tv support could not. Highly recommend Mike for quality, customer service and professionally installed home theater systems. He also make a stop at my daughter's house to level and lower a DIY install.
