I would NOT recommend Andrew P. (Dallas TV Installers)! After providing detailed/diagrammed pictures and being quoted $300-$400 over the phone by his associate (Jimmy), I ended up paying $500. I could definitely tell they weren't on the same page. Either way, complete incompetence and unprofessional! Essentially, I wanted some speaker cables (that I provided) ran through the walls to the receiver, and it nearly took him 5 hours to get this done (see pics)! I provided all of the parts (speaker cables, connectors, speakers, receiver). He scratched up my book shelf (see pics), marred and scuffed up the wall AND my 78" Samsung (from moving and sliding it around on the TV mount), and scratched the surface of the fireplace mantel. Finally, the coup de grâce came, when he damaged/destroyed my Denon AVR-X3400H receiver by repeatedly and randomly plugging and unplugging HDMI cables while the unit was still powering ON. I could tell he had never setup one of these receivers and was completely unfamiliar with the process. Unfortunately, his incompetence and actions permanently damaged the receiver, and it would no longer power on! Shortly after this, he then told me NOT to plug and unplug HDMI cables while the unit is powered on (which is EXACTLY what he had just done). I was lucky enough to return it, but had to pay a 20% restocking fee ($160) AND shipping costs ($45)! Furthermore, he insisted on setting everything up HIS way, and because of that, all of the cables running between the 2 front towers are exposed and look hideous (see pics)! I would NOT recommend his services, unless it's only for mounting a TV or replacing a light bulb. Anything more, I'd go with someone much more reputable, professional, competent, and established! Because of this, I'm now stuck trying to figure out how to recoup my losses! For God's sake, he didn't even come prepared with a vacuum OR a work light; I had to provide both! read more

My experience was exactly like Neal A.'s. I read all the positive reviews on Yelp, so I called Dallas TV Installers to install a new receiver and connect it to the TV. "Jimmy" came over and had no idea what he was doing. After flailing around for about 3 hours (at the most basic installation job there is), he had to leave. He couldn't come back until 2 or 3 days later. I called another installer who looked at what Jimmy had done, laughed, and promptly disconnected everything and started over. By the way, although "Andrew" is so highly reviewed, i was never able to actually reach him. My emails went unanswered, and the "office" number is Jimmy's cell. After having a scheduling conflict with Best Buy/Magnolia and them telling me it would take 1 1/2 weeks till they could return to mount 2 TVs I called Dallas TV Installers and they immediately scheduled me for later that day and offered to do the work for almost half the price. A big business like Best Buy tells me it'll take 1 1/2 weeks to get somebody out to mount two TVs and with one phone call I got 2 TVs mounted and a complete sound system (6 speakers, receiver and woofer) installed in a matter of 12 hours (6 hours for them to complete the job)! Cost me 780.00 dollars for 3 stooges quality work. It took them more than six hours to install three TV's with rokus and stereos-they left my house after Midnight. It was obvious they didn't know what they were doing and were just winging it-after five hours I expressed that I was frustrated and Andrew gave me attitude back! Mounting above fireplace was terrible, you can clearly see the wires from one speaker and the holes from a previous install (which easily could have been used) can also be seen. I highly recommend this company. We wanted to mount a television on a slanted wall (not the easiest situation), and they worked with us to get it done. DO NOT use this company. I had to call the Dallas police dept to get Andrew to leave my home. Andrew walked in; introduced himself and then walked into my kitchen saying, "I'm going to help myself to some water." Although that was off putting, I offered him and his partner gatorade. He quoted me a price of $200 when we arranged the apt via phone (which he completely forgot about and it got rescheduled only bc I texted him prior to the scheduled apt asking for a tv mount) and then he changed the price to $260 upon arriving at my home claiming I did not tell him I needed a mount although I have a text message showing I'd asked for a television mount. I told him I would not pay more than the verbally agreed upon price and he started arguing with me. I said I wasn't going to pay more and at that point I was very uncomfortable w him as he was being aggressive and argumentative. I had to ask him to leave my home over a dozen times while he continued to argue with me. At first I was polite but when he continued to argue I forcefully asked him to leave my home but he stood there arguing. Not until I called the police did he exit my home. He then tried two more times to get back into my home saying he'd left a tool (he did not leave a tool) and then he tried again to have me let him in saying he wanted the Gatorade I'd given him. He finally left before the police arrived. In the interim he sent me several insulting text messages and told me he took video of me. I strongly urge you not to use this company. I am very fearful bc this man knows where I live. He seems dangerous and his behavior was so strange and erratic. I would strongly caution anyone against using him and letting him in your home. This was the absolute worst experience. It was frightening and upsetting. This man tried to bully me into paying more than the agreed upon price and then harassed me when I wouldn't. He went as far to take video of me and sent a text bragging that he had taken video of me. I debated whether or not to post this bc I think he's dangerous and I can imagine him trying to retaliate somehow but I don't want someone else to experience the treatment I did or even potentially be hurt by someone like him. When the police came they advised me to text him that I'd filed an offense and to tell him that if he continued harassing me, I could file civil harassment charges and he continued sending antagonizing and insulting text messages. I had to block his number. It isn't worth the risk of letting Andrew into your home. Fortunately I have heavy security at my home but I would not invite this man into your home. read more
