Our Australian Shepherd, Briggs, has been…read moretraining with her for the past month, spending five days a week with her and coming home to us on the weekends, and the difference we've seen in him has been incredible. His behavior, manners, and overall demeanor at home have improved so much, and we feel like we have learned a ton along the way too. Beyond being an amazing trainer, what has meant the most to us is how much Kelli genuinely cares about Briggs. She treats him like he's her own, and any time he has had even the smallest health issue, she is always the first to check in, follow up, and make sure he's doing okay. It gives us so much peace of mind knowing he is with someone we completely trust and who truly loves and cares for him. Kelli has been so lovely to work with, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her. We would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who is not only an incredible dog trainer, but someone who genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. It also helps that Briggs absolutely loves her!

We enrolled Poppy, our 4 month old puppy at the time, in their 10-day reverse board-and-train program. I wasn't expecting her to come out perfectly trained in 10 days, but I did expect the level of intensive training they advertised on their site. The trainer we got was sweet and had a calm energy, which I liked since Poppy was skittish around new people. But the actual training didn't come close to matching what was promised. We have security cameras at home, so I could see exactly what was happening while we were gone. Most days were only 5-10 minutes of actual training. The rest of the time the trainer was watching TV or on her phone. If we'd wanted someone to watch TV with our puppy, we could've asked a neighbor for free. By the end of it, Poppy knew "sit" and "down" and not much else. The separation anxiety and potty training work we'd specifically talked about before signing up hadn't really progressed. I want to be clear, my problem wasn't that she wasn't fully trained in 10 days. It's that we paid for a specific service and didn't get it. I emailed the owner, Jeff, sent him the video clips, and asked for a partial refund. He wouldn't address any of it directly, just offered services that were already included in our package and turned down the refund. Then he was rude to my husband on the phone, which threw me because my husband is about as easygoing as they come and almost never gets worked up over anything. I also found it concerning that the exit document I was given included a clause saying clients agreed not to post negative reviews. I never signed it, but seeing that made me question how much honest customer feedback actually makes it online. Super shady. We ended up going with a different trainer afterward, and Poppy turned out exactly how we'd expected her to after actual, consistent training. Maybe we just got unlucky with the trainer. I can only go off our own experience, but between the training we actually received and how they handled it afterward, I wouldn't recommend them.

His solution to her crying in her crate was to put a blanket over it and slam the sides of the crate anytime she cried. I was naive and thought this was normal. Now in hindsight I realize just how awful this guy was and his "remedies". It's embarrassing to think I thought he knew what he was doing. I wish I could get my money back. Stay away from these people.

Like many yelpers here, I too am grateful to have found David Reinecker. I originally went on…read moreYelp.com to find out about another dog trainer that my Vet had recommended. She was not listed on yelp, but Yelp listed other dog trainers in the search results and that is how I found Dog Remedy. When I first saw Dog Remedy on yelp, they had 5 stars. Of course I was skeptical at first, but then I read every single review and when I was finished, I wasn't interested in contacting the other dog trainer recommended by my Vet anymore. I just had to contact David Reinecker! There was only one reason I needed a dog trainer. I have 2 dogs, a female corgi and a male Miniature Pinscher. Every now and then, the corgi would attack the Min Pin. I was desperate and under pressure by the husband to give up the corgi. My husband was even rather skeptical of my hiring a dog trainer. He thought the corgi was beyond help. I called Dog Remedy and Tatiana scheduled our first appointment, saying we would probably need 3 sessions one week apart. The price was definitely reasonable, especially after spending so much money on the Min Pin's hospital bills. When David came to see us, he sat down and talked to us at length about the problems we were facing. Then he started to show us what we needed to do with the dogs. Basically we needed to train the dogs so they know we are the alpha over them. I also mentioned to David that my corgi was fearful of other dogs and would always lunge and bark at them on our walks. She was so afraid that she would always launch the initial preemptive strike to ward them off. We went outside for a walk hoping to encounter other dogs so he could show me what to do. We didn't see any other dogs, but he taught me how to walk with her anyways and what to do when other dogs approach. He said we needed to practice the training daily and he would check in with us in about a week. The day after the first visit, we took the dogs out for a walk and I implemented the training taught by David when I saw a dog owner and his 3 dogs. One of his dogs was not on the leash and I was very cautious, not knowing what might happen. But instead of barking and being afraid, my corgi sat next to me calmly, let the dog without the leash come close to her and didn't even flinch when the dog sniffed her butt! Then the two other dogs that were on the leash came close too. And my corgi let one of them sniff her nose! I was amazed! This would never have happened, normally she would probably have barked like crazy and lunged at them to scare them off. We also noticed that she is no longer afraid of gardeners with loud tools and large trucks. David came to see us one more time and he was very happy with the improvement in the dogs' behavior. He said he could tell as soon as he walked in that the dogs are different now. He was also confident that we did not need a 3rd session. I'm happy to say that there has not been any attacks on the Min Pin since and we continually use David's techniques and training to keep our dogs in check.

I reached out to her very last minute, and after explaining my situation, she was incredibly understanding and was able to accommodate us right away. After just a couple of hours of training, I learned so much about how to better understand and communicate with my dog, Orion. The difference was honestly amazing--by the end of our session, he was walking so much better and no longer constantly pulling on the leash. Raquel was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain not only what to do, but why certain techniques work. What I appreciated most was that she gave me more confidence as an owner and showed me how to continue reinforcing everything we learned at home. I already feel much less anxious taking Orion on walks and feel like I finally have the right tools to manage his behavior and reactivity. You can tell Raquel genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and wants both the dog and owner to succeed. I'm so grateful she was able to help us on such short notice, and I'm excited to continue working with her. I highly recommend her, especially to anyone feeling overwhelmed with a reactive or newly rescued dog.

She's unbelievably intelligent and obedient; while some of that is environmental, a lot of it clearly comes down to good breeding. Charles is excellent at what he does, and it shows in the quality and disposition of his puppies. The not-so-good: As other reviewers have mentioned, communication around timing can be a bit inconsistent. I completely understand that traffic and unexpected events happen, which is why I scheduled pickup specifically to accommodate his preferred timeframe. Despite knowing I had an evening commitment, he arrived more than 4 hours after the agreed-upon pickup time. A simple heads-up would have made a huge difference so we weren't left waiting around for so long, especially when we ourselves had to make a 1.5 hour long commute to meet him. Final thoughts: Charles truly seems like a wonderful person; I think very highly of him and his work. The only area that leaves something to be desired is punctuality, but otherwise he's fantastic. I would 1,000,000% recommend him!

First off, I want to say our new dog (Bella) is wonderful and is going to be a great pet. She is 7…read moremonths old and is starting to adjust pretty well to her new home. I want to give Charles credit for breeding/raising a beautiful pup and communicating well enough for us to learn about her and adopt her into our family. Now for the negative. We discovered 20-25 live ticks on Bella within 4 days of picking her up (picked her up on 4/11/20). We found ticks all over her body including her face, rear, and in between the pads on her paws. She had numerous red bite marks from ticks. We also found 2 fleas and discovered a substantial amount of flea dirt in her fur and on the fabric anywhere she had been sitting. We live in San Diego in a condo and she has barely been outside, staying on one area of grass and sidewalks. She very clearly did not pick up the full amount of ticks & fleas within a few days of coming home with us. After a trip to the vet for blood and fecal matter tests, the vet confirmed that she was positive for a parasite - Giardia. We paid quite a bit of money for Bella but it feels more like we rescued her from a shelter than a caring/attentive breeder. And quite honestly a shelter might have checked her more thoroughly for ticks and fleas before the transition to a new owner. Charles has communicated his sympathy and provided suggestions on treatment but the presence of ticks in this quantity on a puppy that he was selling is extremely concerning. I've asked Charles to cover the cost for one month of flea/tick treatment and the parasite treatment but he has not responded to these requests. He has not offered to cover any of her treatment and it's stunning that he wouldn't offer a small refund ($50-$100) for the flea/tick or parasite treatments. I'm hopeful this is a one-time issue but it leaves doubt about the care and attention the parent dogs are receiving. It also creates a lot of uncertainty since Charles is adamant about keeping customers away from the breeding area (his home). Our primary complaint is our new pup Bella was infested with ticks (and a few fleas) within days of adopting her, but we also were annoyed on the day we picked her up. We originally had planned to meet at 2:00 pm but on the morning of the exchange Charles asked if we could move it to 3:00 pm. We had no problem with that. We showed up a few minutes after 3:00 pm but after several texts and phone calls did not see Charles until about 4:30. Charles did call back once at 3:30 to say he was 20 minutes away but did not contact us when he arrived 40 minutes later. We found him, and the puppies, only when we noticed some other families holding puppies across the parking lot. As I said, I'm hopeful Bella's ticks and fleas are a one-time incident and Beachwood Canyon runs a clean, safe breeding operation but it certainly makes me doubt things more. It may be that since he mostly sells puppies he did not think to check her. I would like to think that is the truth BUT please make sure to do your research and ask ample questions.

Reached out to Woof Pack and got scheduled right away with a private session at my house with Ashley. Ashley is fantastic. She answered every question I had, even though I was shooting them off left and right at 1000 miles an hour. From the get go, she had my pup's full attention and that continued for the full 75-min session (which was a blessing too because my puppy slept the rest of the day after the session was over). It's absolutely mind-boggling how well Ashley works - she got my puppy to obey commands I've been trying to teach her since the day we bought her home in a single session. My puppy retained all that information too! It was almost like I had a new dog the next day - example: she taught her to sit at the door to get out. The following few days, that's exactly what my puppy did. She also started obeying commands on the first try. I'm unbelievably happy with the results I've gotten from just the first session. Highly recommend.

This made the experience feel uncomfortable and not very secure. Also, I was hoping to receive more professional guidance and education regarding puppy behavior and proper socialization.
