I can't recommend K9 Logic Dog Training enough to people. My partner and I came to them to address separation anxiety in our 1.5 year old French Bulldog. We had tried what felt like everything and his separation anxiety was so bad that it got to the point that my partner and I basically gave up our social lives, had to coordinate with one another one of us would be going to the market or if it would be a trip where we both can go but someone sits in the car with our dog. We met the team at K9 Logic Dog Training and they assessed our dog and determined what kind of training program would be best for him to address his separation anxiety and the other skills we wanted to work on. Within a week we noticed progress. We finally were able to leave the house for an hour and go to the market together. Week by week the time has gradually gotten longer where we have been able to leave him alone for longer periods of time to reclaim our social life back. I was skeptical at first, but after that first week I became a believer. We are so happy with the results that for the purpose of just giving him structure and routine we signed him up for more classes and he LOVES being at school. We've also participated in the weekend group training sessions and they are so helpful to not only give our dog routine, but it's a great way to reinforce structure and keep him sharp with everything he learned at school. LONG OVERDUE and I never use yelp but I had to write a review A little bit of a late bloomer . But when Toby had reached around 4 years old I was convinced he was "too old " to be trained and that I would have to live with his on leash aggression forever. It felt like it was my fault that because I didn't train him early enough he developed these bad habits and that I was a bad dog parent . My common excuse was "he was a rescue" anytime he lunged at other dogs . Walks always became this mentally draining experience of always having to be on your guard in fear toby would hurt another dog . ( especially if the other dogs were off leash and had bad recall ) I would have nightmares about this. BUT , then I met Chris and K9 logic and he pretty much threw that whole mindset out the window and ensured me that any dog can be trained at any age . He insured me that my dog wants to make me happy , that if me and my wife committed to his training instructions that Toby could learn better recall and obedience . And sure enough that is what happened . Walks became easier and toby made friends ( who would have thought ) . Most importantly our bond became so much stronger through our training with Toby and with my wife. Fantastic dog training company. My big guy Blue was so reactive, pulled me and was so hard to control before bringing him to K9 Logic. LOL I've taken Harley, my 42lb block of muscle who's super sweet and full of energy, to other trainers in the past with some progress but after putting Harley in a 3 wk board and train to work on basic obedience and resource guarding with Chris and the K9 Logic crew, I've noticed a completely different pup. She's way better with recall and other commands but still needs some work on her resource guarding. During the evaluation, Chris demonstrated "yes" & "good" commands which she picked up quite quickly. After seeing how responsive she was I knew this was the right fit. I got weekly updates and videos showing her progress, and notes on how the crew loved her. When I picked her up, they set me up with a prong & e-collar and trained me on how to use the tools for a good 1.5hr. In the follow-up a week later, we went over how the week went. Chris really does take the time to answer all the questions. It's been a few months now and it's been pretty great being able to walk her off-leash on our hikes. ABUSIVE!!!! BEWARE!!! It has been over a year and a half since I took my dog here for the 3week board and train program. I cannot stress enough just how TRAUMATIC this experience was for our family. Upon picking my dog up she was absolutely SKELETAL, scared, insecure, aggressive and almost unrecognizable. The shock collar approach was extreme and definitely what I would call ABUSIVE. When we picked her up we were told not to call to her or make any welcoming noises. We stayed quiet. We watched in disbelief as the trainer shocked her repeatedly with increasing intensity as she yelped and yelped. He did not let up until she went to the bed. It took FOREVER with so many shocks. I was with my minor children as well who still talk about it often. She had learned absolutely NOTHING that was transferrable. They knew I was in a crisis situation myself with very little financial resources and I honestly feel like they took advantage of me. It was $5,000 !!! I have been rehabbing my dog ever since. I should have sued them honestly but just didn't have the bandwidth. I felt a huge responsibility to inform any dog owner NOT to use this company. They should know if the training is appropriate for each dog. It was NOT appropriate for my dog. They just want your money. They never once contacted me afterwards to ask if I was satisfied, how she was doing, NOTHING.. they got their money. Stay away!!! read more

I can't stress enough how grateful my husband and I are that we found Chris and K9 Logic! We rescued a 2 year old husky shepherd mix who was found as a stray and knew we needed all the help we could get. My fiancé and I can't recommend K9 enough! We have a Blue Heeler puppy (Indigo) - and if you know anything about cattle dogs, they are HIGHLY energetic and require consistent physical and mental stimulation. We tried the DIY version of training from YouTube but it only covered the basics. Indigo still was quite vocal and expressive, would pull on the leash during walks, jump to greet us and counter surf when we ate on the table. Our goal was to manage all of that and also work our way to off-leash with him. We researched local training facilities, found K9 Logic and were instantly sold on the Private Training packages. We submitted the contact form and within a week we were scheduled a 1hr consultation with Chris. In that meeting alone, he already taught us valuable tools and techniques to improve our communication. We had been using a Stim Collar with Indigo, but he showed us the proper and most beneficial ways to utilize it. After this meeting, we decided to go with the 8-week private course (1hr/week). In our first session Indigo came home a brand new pup! He learned loose leash walking in an hour - ONE HOUR! Our minds were blown and as new puppy parents, we were so incredibly grateful. In just 8-weeks, Indigo's mastered leash manners and we've gained confidence in off-leash, he remains calm when greeting us and meeting new humans/dogs, he stays in "place" for long periods with distractions, his recall and our communication significantly improved, and more. We even did a pack hike at the end and Indigo did amazing - something we wouldn't have felt as comfortable with prior. We've taken him to public places and he is able to stay calm and attentive to us. What I appreciated most is Chris was flexible with Indigo's needs throughout the training. There were sessions where we had pre-planned to train a specific area, but he would notice Indigo needed more work with something else, so we'd pivot to work on that instead. He genuinely cares about the relationship between you and your dog. He educates you on the why and knowledge of his training which I believe is important to better help owners understand. Because of this, we're able to apply the techniques we learned to maintain and train in other areas beyond the 8-week session. We spontaneously adopted a 5 year old husky (Haku)from the shelter and soon discovered a couple of problems. He was aggressive towards our two cats and barked at any dogs he saw. This is gonna be a long one... Brought my dog here in the past when he was a puppy for an obedience board and train, but we were told that he's 2 weeks too old for the puppy program. He had also promised us to send weekly update videos and keep us informed on how he's doing. We thought nothing of it as it was our first time doing something like this. We asked for an update video a few days in whether it was a 10 sec video or even a 30 sec one, but we're told that the trainers are busy and can't do anything like that. What do you mean? You record videos for your social media all the time. Just record a clip and send it to us as worried and curious owners. After harassing the front desk (who by the way was extremely rude) for updates via email and phone calls; Chris gave us a call and told us that if we were going to to keep calling asking for updates that he would have to stop the board and train because we were "asking for too much". So we shut our mouths and decided to just listen to him and trust him. We received a total of 4 update videos ranging from 20-45 seconds in the span of 5 weeks. Come pickup day for our dog we were excited to finally see him And see how much he had learned. This fucking guy taught him sit, down, stay, heel, and up in the 5 weeks he's been there. We asked for a demonstration without the e-collar and he stated that the e-collar is "insurance". You're telling me 5 weeks of vigorous training and you still can't get him to perform those basic commands without an e-collar? Okay chris whatever you say. Within the week of our dog being home we had to take him to the vet because he had lost weight, was sluggish, and contracted an infection of some kind. He was prescribed 2 weeks worth of antibiotics. Didn't come from us Chris! When we called and complained about that he offered us a free group training session and then proceeded to give me shit for bringing my dog with a harness instead of an e collar and slip lead. We could just be the outlier in this scenario and had a bad experience, but we referred a friend of ours there too who also had the same experience as us and hated every second of it. Waste of thousands of dollars and empty promises. Hated very second of it and don't know how all these other families are trusting him with their pets. TLDR; Don't bring your dog here. read more

Chris is the absolute best at what he does, and I'll be forever grateful for what he's done for my Pepper. It's been 2 weeks since we picked up Pepper after a 2-week board and train with K9 Logic & the skills/obedience are sticking! Before Chris got his hands on Pepper she would jump up when anyone came in and grab food from people... we had to crate her when we had company because she lacked manners. We hadn't been able to cut Pepper's nails or groom her, nor any professional- she'd need several anxiety meds just to calm her down because she would freak out and growl. With the help of muzzle training and patience, Chris was able to cut her nails, bathe her, brush her out, and now we can too which is a huge relief! My kids can sing and dance and play while Pepper sits nicely in her designated "place," which before K9 Logic, she would get excited and want to join in which in turn knocked my small kids down. Also noteworthy is that we used to have to gate off my kid's play area because Pepper would chew up toys- I'm thrilled to report that the gate still has not needed to come back up because Pepper understands boundaries! We've had guests over since Pepper came back, and to my surprise she sits in place until she's given the command that she can break for pets/love- and the best part- she doesn't jump on people! She walks amazingly on leash, listens to commands, and is calm tempered when we see other dogs... all important things to me considering that Pepper is an XL mutt (Great Pyrenees, Great Dane, Rottweiler, Mastiff mix). My sweet puppy is now my sweet, well mannered puppy. When I asked for updates, they were very prompt with responsiveness and sent me a link to a few long videos showing Pepper and talking about her progress and what they were working on. You can tell they care for and are invested in the dogs they train by their communication and dedication to sending progress videos to reference for future.
